    a pretty decent dungeon crawler
ReadySet Heroes is a dungeon crawler that can be played locally as well as online and features only two modes, crawl n brawl or tower brawl,
crawl n brawl is more competitive and requires at least two players, and tower brawl is the mode directed more towards single players, though up to 2 can join…
This is a dungeon crawler where you’re tasked to get through 30 different rooms including 4 boss battles, each room progressively gets harder, and you only have 3 lives to complete this task…
As you defeat enemies, they will drop gems that slowly increase your stats, and clearing rooms will give you a random chest drop for a new weapon, armor, or spell..
Each game you start with a blank slate... so its one of those games where the universe has to be on your side to have an epic run...
however I feel like not enough is done differently here to keep the player playing for more than maybe a day.. sure there’s the competitive mode where you race a clock, clear rooms gather the best gear possible and battle at the end… but there just isn’t enough substance here
Every character for example is exactly the same, just different skins.. no perks or bonuses to using a certain one.. no different set of weapons…
therefore the game quickly becomes stale…
it doesn’t become a let me try out this character or that character, find the one that fits my play style and learn to master them, their abilities and their weapons…
instead its simply choose your favorite character, and get through random rooms defeating the same enemies you fought before just to clear challenges on board…
ReadySet Heroes has potential to be more than it is…
    I give ReadySet Heroes
    a 5.5/10

While ReadySet Heroes is at its best with friends, it’s also surprisingly sturdy as a single-player game. You can choose to play as various cartoony critters and while this choice doesn’t affect the playstyle, it would work well as a gentle introduction to the genre for younger family members. Overall it’s a decent little game, not bad for the price and there’s a decent chance your young ones will enjoy it… it’s not a terrible pick up and play for us older gamers too… but it’s definitely more geared towards the younger crowd.

The unique artistic vision behind the game deserves a tip of the hat. However, the same cannot be said for the unimaginative characters, deserted multiplayer modes and technical shortcomings.
