"Yatsuzakikou" is a serial killer who has killed more than 100 people and thrown the country into chaos.

To put an end to his murder spree, the finest members of the "Detective Alliance," an organization made up of only the top detectives, launch a joint investigation.

Around the same time, an ordinary boys' high school student named Wato Houjou, who longs to become a detective, arrives at a remote island where the Detective Alliance is headquartered under the guidance of a mysterious man named "The Sage Detective."

On the island, Wato could not hide his excitement at meeting the Detective Alliance he so admired. However, when the detectives suspected him to be Yatsuzakikou, he was at a loss for words.

Yatsuzakikou had already infiltrated the island, and many detectives have been murdered.

To clear his name, Wato and the Detective Alliance leader, the "Ideal Detective," launch an investigation.

14 detectives remain alive. And Yatsuzakikou is among them.

Comes in swinging and establishes both a narrative universe and unique style of detective activity that shine alone but make an almost dazzling combination. [Issue#27, p.77]

Process of Elimination is a wild emotional rollercoaster. Despite the story’s initially weak pacing, the narrative manages to deceive you so thoroughly that you’re led into a loop you may not see coming. Similar is the overall gameloop, where the strategy segments don’t improve until you’ve spent a few hours understanding the nuanced systems.

Despite some shortcomings, Process of Elimination weaves an intriguing tale, bolstered by a cast of endearing characters. While it might not topple the giants in the visual novel genre, it is a story worth experiencing all the same.

Inspired by more established titles in the market, Process of Elimination delivers a suitable experience, with a premise well known to the public, but with a complexity below of that from its inspirations.

The game is an absurdist lark, with a few potent howlers and some delirious plotting.

Process of Elimination is a videogame with ideas poorly exploited and hastily managed. Despite of interesting an interesting context, it quickly loses interest. A missed opportunity.

The only bad things i see is that at the choices that you make don't change the main storyline, is like a test to see which answer is right and which is wrong, also there are some things that even though they aren't necessary, they would have been very good, like relatioship levels, or dialogue choices, but for an indie developer, their first game is pure gold and I highly recommend-it

I liked demo and strategy section so I made the purchase. But it is very long winded. Explaining simplest things you can clearly see or feel on screen. In my 12 hours so far I've spent 30 min in strategy sections. U can do the math. No real decisions or split paths. No responses. Just clicking next button for 12 hours. Also... "deductive reasoning" has mistranslation and says "abductive" whole game Expand

Totally not worth the price, instead of spending 40 euros in this game watch a gameplay or something, the game is basically reading, and don'tTotally not worth the price, instead of spending 40 euros in this game watch a gameplay or something, the game is basically reading, and don't get me wrong, I like this types of games, but in process of elimination there's nothing to do, there are no decisions that impact the plot, you can't move around, you can't decide who you talk to, you can't do anything but read how the protagonist interacts with some of the blandest characters I've encountered in a videogame ever, the characters are simply the adjective that they are given as their name, for example: Renegade detective, he's not mean for no reason; Downtown detective, she says stuff like IDK or Lol and that's it, their backstories aren't interesting because you don't care for the characters in the first place.
And the only gameplay that it has only happens in between hours of talking and it's still more boring than the actual game, you don't have to use your wits to discover who the killer is or anything like that, you move other characters around and have them do things 2 times because you aren't going to succeed in your first try.
Overall if you want to know about the story, because it's the only thing the game has to offer even though it's bad and boring you can just watch it online.
    Not even a game.
