Nov 11, 2019Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale are isometric western RPGs with pre-rendered backgrounds. If this style of game is your cup of tea, then these are both classics, especially the creative, dialogue-heavy Planescape: Torment. If you are new to the genre, these might be tough to try by modern standards. But the way the menus have been mapped to controllers make these RPG classics very playable on consoles. Whether or not they’re playable by modern standards is up to your taste.

Oct 23, 2019Solid conversion of two classics, albeit with quite a few technical issues.

Oct 22, 2019These games are definitely not for everyone, but for players willing to put up with a sarcastic, hovering skull or a evil lair filled with lizard men containing the gem of a forgotten demon, it's hard to find a better, or weirder, experience in this genre.

Nov 13, 2019All in all these games are truly a blast from the past, and back in their day (1999 / 2000) were some of the best RPG outings you could find on the PC. Today though, I can't say that they are anything more than a nostalgic cash grab. There are no updates here and the amount of bugs I had to get through is just plain unacceptable. Don't get me wrong: Icewind Dale is still a fun dungeon-exploring D&D adventure and Planescape has one of gaming's best stories hands-down but even with them coming to modern consoles these games really show their age. Tread carefully!
