Pirates: Treasure Hunters is fun as a MOBA. It has a very engaging combat system with some really interesting characters. However, I can't help but be disappointed with the lack of content and replayability given even for a free-to-play. I was done with it after only 6 or 7 matches. There is currently only 1 map and 1 game mode.

I also take issue that a few charaters feel underpowered, as well as the vehicle controls. It is FREE though, so you should try it anyway. Just don't expect anything amazing or time-consuming.

I might raise the score to an 8/10 after more content is added to the game.

At first I thought a MOBA in consoles wouldn't be worthy, but this game is definitely fun and engaging. I like it's more action-oriented than other MOBAs and the addition of vehicles and hooks makes it easier to navigate the map and get faster into the action. It really makes the difference if you play well organized with your team so the depth you could expect in a MOBA is there, heroesAt first I thought a MOBA in consoles wouldn't be worthy, but this game is definitely fun and engaging. It really makes the difference if you play well organized with your team so the depth you could expect in a MOBA is there, heroes have clear roles and their abilities mix well to make different strategies. I have to see how the game evolves but my first impressions are very good and a grateful surprise. Give it a try, it's free Expand

This game functions. It has relatively OK/generic graphics. It has basic gameplay. OK, on to an actual review. But most shooters, such as Battlefield or Garden Warfare does this so much better, with so much more abilities and game types and maps etc, even indies like Enter the Gungeon and Geometry Wars has so much more depth, strategy and longevity. I must commend them for going free to play, but along with pathetic matchmaking and my above complaints,I have a hard time recommending this. Expand

A good fusion between action and type MOBA games. It has very good ideas, such as the need to cooperate with allies and vehicles but the few maps and characters hinder the long term experience.

The lack of content is alarming in Pirates, making great details like the character design going unnoticed and causing boredom after a few games.

It’s still early days for Pirates: Treasure Hunters. Getting off the ground and building a community is hardest stage for any MOBA, but while there’s a number of ways in which it tries to break the mold, a pattern of common missteps overcloud the game’s prospects of a bright future.
