    Persona 5 Royal has fixed almost all my Issues with base Persona 5, like Momentos and Ryuji's 7th confidant ability which was more of a Nuisance, than useful. Tweaked Palaces also made it a tiny bit better except a specific Man riding on a Jet-chair. The Thieves Den was just awesome, like that one Polished Card game "Tycoon" was addictive as **** A Great game for Quarantine.

    Il miglior JRPG di tutti i tempi. Difficile migliorare un capolavoro come Persona 5 ma la Atlus ci è riuscita perfettamente. È un videogioco che non ti stanca mai. Ancora ci sto giocando nonostante lo abbia completato per ben tre volte.

    Maybe the best JRPG of all time. The extra price tag for Royal is totally worth it, with a great message to boot. Even if you’ve played the original, there’s enough additions to make it worth your time! 100% must play

    This is possibly my favorite game of all time. I finished this game in 120 hours and I was not bored for a second of it. All of the characters are at the very least likeable, and most are really interesting and have great personalities. The gameplay is always fun, and most importantly YOU DON'T NEED TO GRIND IN ORDER TO BEAT THE GAME THANK GOD! I grinded for an hour in the first dungeonThis is possibly my favorite game of all time. I finished this game in 120 hours and I was not bored for a second of it. All of the characters are at the very least likeable, and most are really interesting and have great personalities. The gameplay is always fun, and most importantly YOU DON'T NEED TO GRIND IN ORDER TO BEAT THE GAME THANK GOD! I grinded for an hour in the first dungeon and I quickly realized that as long as you fight people the first time you see them at least once, you can beat the game with a reasonable challenge.     i must say because of the original persona 5 i became a fan of the series i love it, man it was fantastic but than Royal comes out and WOW extra content was mind blowing if you never played persona 5 royal or any in the series start now lol , i recently played part 4 golden love just as much also next was 3 but The Last of us 2 held me up time for my next review ;)

    Persona 5 Royal is easily the best game I’ve ever played. I still have many games to play, but this game has succeeded everything else I’ve played. Everything down to the soundtrack, art style and gameplay is perfect. I am a huge fan of narrative driven games and I’m a sucker for great righting and boy does this game deliver on both. Weeks after finished it I am still thinking about thePersona 5 Royal is easily the best game I’ve ever played. I still have many games to play, but this game has succeeded everything else I’ve played. Everything down to the soundtrack, art style and gameplay is perfect. I am a huge fan of narrative driven games and I’m a sucker for great righting and boy does this game deliver on both. Weeks after finished it I am still thinking about the ending and the massive journey I had gone on during my 110 hour play through.     This game makes a lot of changes from the original game and improves from the gameplay and story standpoint significantly. They added 2 new characters to the game, admittedly one is significantly better than the other, but I won't say who. Although the game adds a bunch of gameplay content such as grappling hook, showtime attacks, thieve's den and a more advanced mementos. The plot is exactly the same, with the addition of an addition of a brand new arc, party member, villain and palace. The new arc is the biggest selling point of persona 5 royal and it is absoloutly brilliant. The new arc tests your morals and ends the game off in a satisfying conclusion that the original game lacked in my opinion. I generally didn't love how the game ended for the vanilla persona 5, the final arc felt like a stretch to me. However, Royal's new arc completely exceeded my expectation. You shouldn't go into persona 5 royal expecting a brand new experience if you played the original game, but you should instead go in this expecting the same game but better. Also, if you were dissapointed by persona 4 GOLDEN's additional "story arc", because I sure was, you need to know that royal's additional arc is nothing like golden's and this one is much longer and much more fleshed out. I love persona 5 Royal and you should definetly check this game out where you played the vanilla or not. Persona 5 Royal stands strong as my TOP favorite video game of all time, and that is saying a lot.… Expand

    Became a huge fan of Persona after playing P5. Played P5R and I'm still a huge fan. The game is great and definitely worth picking up.

    Worth every penny, finish persona 5 at 2018, and i had no problems playing it all over again on the hardest difficulty, and there is like a 30% more content on top of that ?! And its all great additions, if I could rate it higher that a 10 trust me i would.

I was looking for a long game since I was very bored at the end of summer, yet I didn't have any game to play, so I decided to check Metacritic to see which games are rated the highest and so I found out about Persona 5 Royal. I quickly decided to purchase this version instead of the regular one in spite of being at a discounted price at the time. IThis game is just simply fantastic. I don't regret doing that since the additions in Royal are the best part of the game in my opinion. It's true that those changes are not as substantial as some would have hoped but for a first playthrough, they're necessary to greatly enhance the experience. I'm not saying that you can't enjoy the regular game, quite the opposite, everything about this game is simply fantastic but the characters and the dungeon added in Royal are the best this game has to offer. In my opinion, you should purchase Royal instead of the regular version; also, don't worry about any DLC, they're just cosmetics and completely unnecessary to the game, I even played the entire game without using them because I prefered the regular skins. I know that not everyone is willing to pay a full-priced game blindly like I did but trust me, with a very high chance you'll love this game just as I did.… Expand

The way in which Persona 5 Royal manages to develop all the characters very well, in a long and immersive story, without being boring for the player is excellent. Even at the end, when it shows all the results of Maruki’s research on cognitive psience, and what his goals were and why to do that, it’s just wonderful how the creators took elements applied from the beginning and used them in a plot twist at the end of game. Certainly one of the best JRPG and gaming experiences I have ever had.… Expand

    It’s everything the original game was, but with more! Characters are so brilliant, the storylines are so real (even when using fantastical themes) and it really is a special experience. This sort of experience transcends gaming to me, and I’m utterly in love with it.     I love everything about this game , it's really a masterpiece and it really helped me going through a really difficult time in my life , i love the phantom thieves so much specially Makoto , oh and the fact that you can't hang out with Makoto until you have a level 3 knowledge is soooo hilarious

    I’m writing this review because of the 60 dollar price tag reviews. I don’t think a game should ever be judged on its price tag or company’s terrible choice etc. The actual game is how a game should be judged. This is a great game and I’d buy the game again to experience the new Royal part for the first time again.

    Beautiful game, really sets the themes of forgiveness, compassion, and the potential of us as humans to grow from pain. Really fun JRPG, testing your ability to work on your builds and strategize to use them in battles; you also get an incredibly soundtrack to accompany those adrenaline-inducing encounters. The RPG element combined with the story and the setting had me hooked for a solid +100 hrs.

    Best turn based combat game on the ps no question no debate. It’s got everything from story ALLLL the way to gameplay, and don’t even get me started on the fancy letters.

    Persona 5 Royal allows players to experience the story they already love in a new way without losing any of the beauty from the original game. New and old characters get their chance to shine through and steal your heart, even the ones you never expected to. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and maybe you’ll even feel a sense of justice for the infamous Phantom Thieves in the end. But one thing you won’t feel is regret in picking up Persona 5 Royal, as it’s truly the best Persona title, if not one of the best video games, I’ve ever experienced to date.

    This is not more of the same, this is not an optional add-on to the original game. This, my friends, is the perfect experience, down to the last letter, down to the last minute. Persona 5 Royal is a Japanese crown jewel.

    All of the new additions and content mean that Persona 5 Royal is a clear upgrade to the original. New players should seek this version without hesitation, although vets may find starting the game over from scratch to be too big an ask. Either way, there’s no doubt that Persona 5 Royal sits proudly on the throne of Peak Persona… or at least it will until Atlus decides they can do even more with it.
