THE DAWN OF A NEW OVERWATCH

Reunite and stand together in a new age of heroes. Overwatch® 2 builds on an award-winning foundation of epic competitive play, and challenges the world's heroes to team up, power up, and take on an overwhelming outbreak of threats around the globe.

    A VISUAL EVOLUTION
Overwatch 2 evolves the look and feel of the world, with more dynamic environments, larger scale battles, additional in-game storytelling events, and improved atmospheric effects and shadows. Heroes in Overwatch 2 will also have a brand-new look, with greater detail and higher fidelity.

A NEW ERA OF EPIC COMPETITION
In Push, a new, symmetrical map type that will launch with Overwatch 2, teams battle to take control of a robot that begins in a central location, then push it toward the enemy base. Either team may take control of the robot at any time. The team that pushes the robot furthest onto the enemy side wins the game.

POWER UP AND SAVE THE WORLD
Play an active role in the next chapter of the Overwatch saga through a series of intense four-player missions. Fight back against Null Sector, uncover the motives behind the omnic attacks, and confront a rising wave of new threats.

    YOUR MISSION CONTINUES
Your accomplishments and loot collections will be carried forward to Overwatch 2. That means you'll keep your skins, player icons, sprays, emotes, and more!

    NEW MAPS AND HEROES
Current Overwatch players will battle side-by-side with Overwatch 2 players in PvP multiplayer; they'll also be able to play Overwatch 2 heroes and maps.

In it'sOk so just for peoples that don't know Overwatch, the game is currently being review bombed for multiple good and less good reasons. In it's core, the game is the best hero shooter ever made. It is fluid, large cast and choice of characters is awesome, artistic direction is beautiful and the graphics artists genius. It is a very very good game.

Why is it being review bombed then? Well Activision-Blizzard, of course. Not only the launch is a disaster, with most players that can't enter the game at all or get booted out all the time and temporary loss of progression, but Activision-Blizzard pushed one of the worst moneterization system in a game where everything was obtainable by playtime before.

I think it is important to make money for a corporation, but now Blizzard is not only trying to make money but to actually being the most greedy on that subject with overpriced items and no mean to get its money back after completing a battlepass.

Add that to a rushed menu and fillers, and yeah there is a sense that the game is unfinished.

Is there is a good future for Overwatch 2? I believe so, with the PvE and new content on it's way, if Blizzard decide to be less greedy and try to appease the playerbase.

If not, it will come back in the same sad state than OW1, where only the diehards like me will play.

No es una secuela, es un intento de revivir el juego en forma de actualización muy pesada y ya. Game's already bad enough on PC. But WHY! WHY PUT THIS OUT ON PS4 & XBOX ONE IN 2022 (Scarcity of PS5's & Series X not withstanding)

I've deleted the game and have no intention of going back. I spent thousands of hours playing overwatch on pc and console but tbh overwatch 2 provides no reason to return and plenty of reasons for you not to bother returning. Ps. I bet the pve will be realised as a standalone game, just wanted to call it now.

There is absolutely no upgrade from the original OW. Everything looks and feels the same. They just slapped "2" next to the name as a marketing strategy because they decided to make the game F2P after the player-base died.

Everything is now locked behind ridiculous grinding and absurd weekly "challenges" that ask you to invest hours upon hours to complete them because they are based on luck (e.g., get 20 team kills). You need to pay 20 euro for a skin-recolor, or farm for 8 months to get it "free." The supposed "free" rewards from the Battlepass are joke-sprays and voice-lines. All the real things are locked behind the premium pay-wall.

The new "free" players that joined are entirely oblivious to FPSs and make games very frustrating. They cannot DPS, they cannot flank, they cannot heal. They pick Moira and play her like its Call of Duty.

Overall a disgusting re-release by Blizzard/Activision/ Microsoft (or whatever company they sold themselves too nowadays) supposed to be free yet those who owned OW1 had paid money for it.
