Apr 3, 2019Outward is what would happen if you take Gothic 3 (which is already not a good game) and turned it into a bad MMO. The world is empty and lifeless, the combat is extremely boring, and you will play for hours without ever feeling like your character has become stronger.
The only positive Outward has, is that it is co-op, which is why I did not rate this a 1. -

Mar 31, 2019I very rarely give 10/10 reviews, but this game has everything that I wanted from a coop split screen rpg, and more. The survivalist elements truly make fear and caution real. This game makes me feel like I’m actually fighting for my life, like I’m actually in a fantasy world, in a way that Skyrim et al never could. 10/10

Mar 26, 2019This game is amazing! It proves you dont need great graphics to play a great game. With no hand holding, this will appeal to old school RPG lovers. The survival aspect, in depth crafting, and exploration are spot on!

Mar 26, 2019great rpg feeling
survival aspect is challenging and rewarding
Graphics aren’t overwhelming, but charming
First impression is great
I guess if you will give this game a chance you will have a wonderful and very impressive adventure! -
Mar 26, 2019this is my first opinion of the game i have played around 4 hours of it and so far i am enjoying the heck out of it
the controlls are good the graphics might look a little bit dated but i think it adds to the charm of the game
the only thing i think they can add more of is customization of the character other wise its pretty darn good -

Mar 28, 2019Hate everything about this game mechanics. Why does every developer think we all like to die constantly in a game like Dark Souls. Wish I'd never laid eyes on this game and will never ever buy anything from this developer ever again.

Mar 26, 2019Really solid under-the-radar RPG. The couch co-op really sets this one apart. Also, the reasonable price point creates value. This is a tight, targeted title that provides great bang for the buck. The graphics are fine. Pick this one up!

Mar 29, 2019It's not bad. bugs will be fixed. Must get if you love classic rpg. However keep in mind since it has classic vibes to it the graphic are 2010ish. Quit rating it poorly if you dont have the proper Pro/cons.

Apr 5, 2019I find it curious that when a game is not a AAA title the critic scores are more in line with user reviews. I'm not a big government person but I really think that this billion dollar industry should be investigated. Outward is a fun game to play in splitscreen coop. Graphics are below average, the combat is a little flighty, but overall it's a solid RPG experience.

May 29, 2021Clunky and overpriced. Do not buy unless its $5 or less. Just paid $40 for it because I read one review and it sounded good. Do not get ripped off like I did. Its not worth it.

Mar 19, 2020At first you think it is a game like any other, but when you take an hour and leave the city the game becomes incredible, the feeling of freedom is unique

Mar 28, 2019This Game is so fuuuuunnn!!! Spectacular!! I streamed like 5 hours and was hooked every minute of the way... I cant wait to get off from work tomorrow and play the whole weekend!!

Apr 9, 2019The concept is really good. It make you feel like you are living in that world and you really need your skill to be alive. The game play is the best thing in this game. You will struggle but if you get the hang of it, it will be very enjoyable. The bad part of PS4 version are just the texture which you will soon forget about it and the loading time which will always haunt you forever.
-
Apr 28, 2019Combat is awful, the amount of times I have equipped my weapon for it to not equip is ridiculous. You're instantly faced with enemies 10x better than you. Loading screen time is just another problem along with lag when I'm playing offline? Bad game.

Jun 3, 2019Played ten hours and have been very forgiving of a game that involves lots of travelling and upgrading backpacks. Combat is clunky and unbalanced. Worst of all only one save file so a mistake in choosing the correct dialogue can ruin the whole playthrough and leave you feeling flat and empty inside.

Nov 15, 2019Way more fun than every other rpg from 2019. it's not that easy to micromanage everything but if you take it easy you're gonna have a blast.
-
Feb 2, 2020It's an awesome game. I think this could be upgraded with loads of new mechanics. More realistic/hardcore sim things.

Mar 26, 2020Listen games like these I like open world survival games it’s just this one is not what I expected the combat is bad the controls are confusing and locking on to targets is bad But one thing I like about the game is that it takes place in a beautiful world with lots to explore it’s kinda like a mini version of Skyrim

May 17, 2020This is what I've been wanting forever. An RPG that doesn't hold your hand. The handholding in today's RPGs sucks the fun right out out of them. This game makes you think, remember and work to survive and progress. No icon chasing, which I despise. This is the most fun I've had playing a video game in years.

Sep 25, 2020This game is not great. But it is loveable. The graphics are old, the load times are long, the battle is odd and clumsy. But it is fun, especially when you have someone to play with. It has a nice atmosphere, and music, its story is kinda uniqe, and exciting-ish, the survival-adventure-crafting flavour works.

Jun 17, 2021Almost like an amazingly ambitious PS2 era game. The fact that it was made by such a small team goes both ways, in that it will impress you time again, but the restrictions of such a small team is obvious.
If you can forgive a little jank every now and then, and really dig into the mechanics, this game can offer 100s of hours of entertainment -
Aug 5, 2021la grafica fa schifo e i comandi pure, comprato in sconto a 9,99 mi vergogno di me stesso ad aver buttato così dei soldi… NON compratelo, è la delusione più grande del 2021 a parer mio

Jul 8, 2019A buggy third person PRG that shines like an old school game but is hindered by technical problems, endless running and pointless survival elements.
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKMay 3, 2019For all its intricacies, Outward is surprisingly easy to enjoy, but preparation is key if you want to explore everything that this RPG has to offer. A game worth exploring. [Issue#162, p.80]

Apr 29, 2019Outward‘s main issues are that it’s an average experience with a lot of competition to contend with, and that it doesn’t lean into its core concept hard enough. It would never have stood apart from the crowd with its production values, but it had a chance (and missed) at making a mark by failing to establish a truly unique identity.
