    Outlast is incredibly terrifying. What it lacks in gameplay it makes up for in atmosphere and haunting imagery.

    Maybe the biggest horror game to come out of 2013. One of the scariest games i've played in a while. From the atmosphere to the characters and the hospital itself.

    entretenido, cumple con lo que promete, te tiene en tensión y suspenso constante, lo unico que no me gustó es lo repetitivo de las situaciones a resolver.

    wow this game is made by the exorcist and thats on a good way but i think the story could have been better and sometimes some predictable jumpscares
    But overall very good
    But also bad for your hard

    One of my most favorite horror games to play even to this day I can't help to return to it. Jump scares are predictable at times when you first play it but being chased in small and dark places while feeling helpless since you can't fight back works at scaring me at times. I don't like being chased at all and knowing one wrong move can mean game over if playing on harder difficulties.One of my most favorite horror games to play even to this day I can't help to return to it.     This game is also like porn compared to other most recent horror games with the amount of gore Outlast has to offer which really sets up the atmosphere and tension. Almost makes you wish there's an option to get back too your Jeep and drive off, never looking back.
    The story can be interesting if you take the time to find the hidden documents as well to give you some insight of the place.
    Also the game can feel a bit short for those who enjoys to speedrun.    … Expand

    Real Good game the graphics and the environment creepi as hell really scary the jumpscares gets you every time ,the only thing I didn't care about because I wanted to be scared was the story it was less interesting when u play through the game and the endning was really bad

    Outlast is a good horror game, I'm not a fan of all the hiding but I managed to look past that. What you have here as a genuinely scary game. There really isn't much of a story in this game but that doesn't matter as the gameplay is really good. Outlast is a good game to play when you feel like being scared.

    Played it in 2020 after TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima so the quality of the game is obvious not that good. But as for such an old game it's very atmospheric, story is quite interesting and sometimes my heartbeat was quite high and I think it's the best recommendation for the horror game.

    Outlast is a mix of Amnesia (for the hiding from monsters) and Call Of Cthulhu (for the investigative journalism). It offers a truly horrific experience, with plenty of gore, dimly lit places, spine chilling killers to hide from and shocking events. A bit short, you’ll need to play the great extension ‘Whistleblower’ in order to experience the game in full and get the proper ending. ForOutlast is a mix of Amnesia (for the hiding from monsters) and Call Of Cthulhu (for the investigative journalism). It offers a truly horrific experience, with plenty of gore, dimly lit places, spine chilling killers to hide from and shocking events. A bit short, you’ll need to play the great extension ‘Whistleblower’ in order to experience the game in full and get the proper ending. For fans of disturbing horror games, this is a high recommend, although I don't agree that this is among the horror gaming greats, it's just a decent horror game.… Expand

    Outlast is a great Horror game. This game is scary, and has a good story line. This game has great graphics for its time, and two separate story lines with Murdock and the insane people at the asylum. The game sometimes relies to much on tedious jump scares, but that doesn't mean this game can't have scary moments if not terrifying moments.     O primeiro jogo de terror com história mesmo que me lembro de ter contato. Até hoje é um dos melhores, realmente bem assustador. Não é muito meu estilo mas valeu a pena mesmo assim.

    Очень пугающая игра, за много лет посмотрел тьму летсплеев, теперь и сам прошёл. В игре потрясающая работа со звуком , это сразу выделяется. Так же порадовала приятная картинка, на дворе 2022, но и сейчас смотрится достойно ( детально проработанное окружение, все части лечебницы пугающе правдоподобны ). Пациенты все страшные , измученные.... Лор тоже очень интересный, увлекательно читатьОчень пугающая игра, за много лет посмотрел тьму летсплеев, теперь и сам прошёл. В игре потрясающая работа со звуком , это сразу выделяется. Так же порадовала приятная картинка, на дворе 2022, но и сейчас смотрится достойно ( детально проработанное окружение, все части лечебницы пугающе правдоподобны ).     Increíble juego de comienzo a final, y ha envejecido muy pero que muy bien, lo compre recientemente (aprovechando una oferta) y no me arrepiento para nada, hasta tengo pensado sacar el platino (son pocos logros pero complicados, específicamente uno) , recomendadisimo, te entregara (mínimo) unas 5 horas de sustos y de buena historia... sin olvidar su DLC, secuela y comics ( que puedesIncreíble juego de comienzo a final, y ha envejecido muy pero que muy bien, lo compre recientemente (aprovechando una oferta) y no me arrepiento para nada, hasta tengo pensado sacar el platino (son pocos logros pero complicados, específicamente uno) , recomendadisimo, te entregara (mínimo) unas 5 horas de sustos y de buena historia... sin olvidar su DLC, secuela y comics ( que puedes encontrar en la pagina oficial de los desarroladores "Red barrel") que amplia mucho mas todo el mundo de Outlast...… Expand

The result is a game that is genuinely creepy and at times downright terrifying.     On par with the PC version. This actually felt a little better on the second walkthrough as I felt it quite frustrating on my first. This is a good game that just falls in the trap of repetition. It needed much more gameplay elements, although everything that's in there is well polished. The graphics for the most part look nice with the exception some of the character models. The idea of looking for batteries for your camera is done vary well and makes for some of the scariest moments of the game. Hiding from enemies is really scary (even though I didn't fine the game as scary as I thought it would be). Cons: The game can be beaten within 6 hours. The character models might look cool at first but, If you look closely at them, you can see the characters have weird faces. Also penises -_-.

    Outlast is a terrifying game to play on Playstation 4. Although the gameplay is somewhat repetitive, it truly is a horrific experience that I would definitely recommend.

    This game is a very frightening experience but an enjoyable one. I love everything about this game except two things. First, some of the scares get repetitive, second the ending of the game is a terrible appointment.

    Boring. I played it on PS4 and I was completely disappointed. I'll have to wait and try other games, then I'll try with this again and I'll change my review if necessary.

    Unfortunately I think this game gets most of its praise because it was free. Not to say that this game isn't good, because it is.

    The graphics are great. The gameplay is just okay, though. I hadn't played a horror game up until this one, and, being the easy scare that I am, I was expecting to have nightmares for weeks. The atmosphere was great: The 'people' that 'weren't home', and my own character's journal entries as I went insane were engaging and interesting, but when it came down to action sequences that should've had me helplessly running away in fear, I actually felt entirely confident in my ability to survive, simply because after the first encounter I knew exactly how to dodge every enemy in the game, and this was the primary drawback; The gameplay was lackluster and repetitive. The story also didn't end in a way that left me satisfied, and didn't offer much closure.

    The game does offer quite a few scares in cutscenes and exploration of the asylum, just not in action sequences, which was a disappointment. It was fun while it lasted, though, and even more so with my roommate, as we both crept around the mount massive asylum.    … Expand

Now days horror games aren't actually that scary but this one is really good since it gives you the enthusiasm to carry on when your torch dies and has no battery and there is some creepy guy who wants you dead.     Outlast is very scary....... for the first hour. I found the first hour of this game very freaky but after that I found it not to be very freaky at all but I still enjoyed my time with the game after the first hour. It's not a very long game but for the few hours you are playing for you are guarantied to **** bricks at least twice.

    Verdict: It's a good game to play at Halloween, with    Outlast is very scary....... for the first hour. I found the first hour of this game very freaky but after that I found it not to be very freaky at all but I still enjoyed my time with the game after the first hour. It's not a very long game but for the few hours you are playing for you are guarantied to **** bricks at least twice.

    Verdict:
    It's a good game to play at Halloween, with the lights dimmed down.

    Saving system is worse than i imagined.

    This game is scary, but frustrating too. Easy 7.5

    ¡Fueralastre es lo mejor que ha parido red barrels y el sector cinematográfico de los videojuegos! quizá sea por los mil y un tópicos que atesora este videojuego, que si es un centro psiquiátrico donde sólo hay gente demente perdida irrecuperable y muy peligrosa con rasgos psicopáticos (1), que si hay un cura muy mal intencionado que gusta de comerle la cabeza al prójimo (2), que si los¡Fueralastre es lo mejor que ha parido red barrels y el sector cinematográfico de los videojuegos! quizá sea por los mil y un tópicos que atesora este videojuego, que si es un centro psiquiátrico donde sólo hay gente demente perdida irrecuperable y muy peligrosa con rasgos psicopáticos (1), que si hay un cura muy mal intencionado que gusta de comerle la cabeza al prójimo (2), que si los psiquiatras y sus centros solo sirven para enloquecer a la gente poniendola peor utilizando todos los medios a su alcance para ello, más comúnmente medicamentos y cirugía (3).

    Outlast is a virtual tour through a hall of terrors. Even playing the game in full daylight makes me uneasy. However, the game's overall level design and gameplay were sacrificed at the altar of fear. If you're looking for an experience that will get your adrenaline pumping, Outlast is hard to beat, but if you’re looking for a meatier horror experience then you might want to run past this one.
