The art style and charm of this game is the first thing that stuck out to me, I just thought everything was cute and adorable despite being a ninja bunny out here slicing fools up for snatching your carrots
here you have a sword and a projectile, you go across short waves of usually around 10 as enemies come at you trying to stop you, you pick up carrots, dropped treasure chests and try to make it to the end of the waves without dying.. these chests will unlock new weapons for you to equip to your character, and you can also use your carrots to buy weapons and items to increase your health for example or give you the ability to earn health back for a certain number of kills.. this loot system is what helps ninjin stay fun and intereting for a little while…
but a little less than half way through, the gameplay just starts to feel stale and repetitive…
it’s the same thing from start to finish, dodge attackings, get some damage in collect carrots, occasionally figh a boss rinse and repeat…
the game will constantly add new enemies to add to the challenge and again you can buy new weapons that work differently and add different strategy to different levels…
but this game just doesn’t do enough to pull you through.. it doesn’t get its hooks in you and im not quite sure why, its cute.. its colorful.. it has loot… but it just slowly gets boring due to the repetive nature instead of challenging and exciting, its just like okay ive done all of this before.. im done now…
Ninjin in no way is a bad game.. its just…
    its alright
nothing here that’s a must play
I give Ninjin Clash of Carrots a 5.5/10

Stylish presentation and quirky fun are Ninjin: Clash of Carrots's standout selling points. Retro graphics and an eccentric storyline are the heart and soul of the experience, even if the script is at times frustratingly over-the-top. Ultimately, Ninjin holds up as a mostly fun experience, but its co-op modes, amusing story, and enemy variety fail to overpower an over-simplicity that lets it down.

A relentless flow of action with a large selection of guns available deliver a lot of fun, especially in co-op. Controls could have been a bit more intuitive and sometimes it's hard to have a clear overview of what's going on around you. Nevertheless an entertaining title.

Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is a superb looking game that has an initially fun gameplay loop with the mixture of bullet hell mechanics and scrolling beat-em-ups. Unfortunately, the cracks appear when you hit the midway point and realise that there are no more tricks left and all that is left is repetition and unspent potential.
