    Even the story doesn't make any sense. I saw some bad designs in this game. The always-online feature is a pain. I play mostly at night, and every time I saw "This server is shut down in 30 minutes due to maintenance" and "Bad Connection, may cause gameplay experience". Often, I get kicked out of the server while I'm racing due to the server. Handling is rough, feels like a cartoon, andEven the story doesn't make any sense. I saw some bad designs in this game. Only good things are customization for cars—the way you modify. Actors,voice acting, and dialogue are so bad that feel like Mario Kart is amazing for just YUHUUU. Bugs are everywhere. I can't play DLC because I don't get a call for Robyn to play Prestige mode.… Expand

    A NFS game ruined by the power of the Internet, gets half of everything right, and the other half stupidly wrong, not for the reasons the developers and EA think.

    The driving feels very good in this game. Visuals are preety nice, and campaign at least has better story then Rivals. Sometimes AI is very bad,but not frustrating. But in the campaign, EVERY SINGLE character is so cringe, that is so hard to watch those cutscenes.

    Many people will say this Need for Speed title is just a new chapter from Need for Speed Underground, well... I can agree with them, you will realise this soon enough, The city of Ventura Bay is amazing but it is always night and raining so you'll not experience how beautiful the city looks during day. The story, well, we can say there is none, the only thing you do is trying to get as more reputation as possible, the more REP points you have, the more are the possibilities not only for customisation options but even for gameplay (more races with higher difficulty). The cutscenes are real-life, which is good, they hold to their roots, but within those cutscenes, you'll not find anything useful, just some cringy scenes with no sense whatsoever. Also what you'll realise is the more the powerful is the car (without upgrades), the less are the appearance options, but this is not the far more irritating thing in this game. The worst thing here which does affect the gameplay itself are the cops, they're slow, you will have to go for a search quest to find them, there will be always one cop in the police station, but there is almost no backup units, most of the time only 1 cop will chase you, before you realise how slow and bad they are. During the whole game, I haven't been in any situation where they almost got me, you have to use the worst car if you want them to catch you. Speaking of bad things, you have to always be online, which can be irritating for those with bad or no internet connection, if you want to play this game somewhere with no internet connection, well..., you can't and yes, if you encounter a bad connection during gameplay, the game will kick you out on the main menu.

    All in all, the game itself needs many improvements, the cops and always-be-online are the worst problems, the background story is bad, and this leaves you with only one thing you can enjoy within the game, which are the graphics, still not used to its highest potential, such a shame.    … Expand

    Não é um bom jogo. Definitivamente a repetitividade das corridas, o mapa é pobre e pequeno a economia do jogo facilita muito a vida do jogador. Quando você compra o carro mais caro (ainda com uns 30% de progresso no jogo), o gameplay perde totalmente a graça. Totalmente dispensável. Jogue apenas se você gosta mesmo de um arcade e fazer drift. A personalização dos carros, que foi um dosNão é um bom jogo. Definitivamente a repetitividade das corridas, o mapa é pobre e pequeno a economia do jogo facilita muito a vida do jogador. Quando você compra o carro mais caro (ainda com uns 30% de progresso no jogo), o gameplay perde totalmente a graça. Totalmente dispensável.     The game looks great and once you upgrade your cars a bit it is pretty fun. but everything else about it is mediocre at best and the 'story' is particularly bad. 72/100

    Decent racing game with weird cut scenes. Factor in that the game description says this can be played with ONE player, but yet makes you be online.

    Oh god ghost never publish another need for speed game seriously the online only i tried to play internet connection lost man and pls online only f*ck off the drift train is kinda terrible so if i am far away i cant score points like wtf

    Game itself is a frustrating as it is fun. Good profression and car levelibg system, bad track design . Racing is hard due to color pallet and 30fps, thewill often be crash causeing cement blocks whete you cant see them and un avoidable head on traffic..     Cons:
    - always online, can't pause
    - lots of loading screens
    - cluttered and distracting UI
    - only night races, poor location variety
    - cringey live action scenes, even for a need for speed game

Basically, you are only drifting around another lifeless city. There is a story mode, which offers no story to be honest. It's a set of cutscenes that offer tons of very bad, pointless dialogs and bad acting. There are not too many cars to choose andNeed For Speed offers fun gameplay but for a limited time.     If you like arcade games you might find this one interesting. Generally, it is fun to play. If you are into driving simulator games and realistic driving - you should avoid this game.

    Another thing worth mentioning is that you MUST be online and you must have EA account in order to play this game. If you do not have a decent internet speed you might spend a lot of time starring at the loading screen before you even start playing anything.    … Expand

    The drifting and graphics are nice but besides that, the rest is quite terrible. Grip handling feels really heavy, sometimes it's really difficult to steer. The AI is a big problem in this game especially with their 'rubber band'. No matter how fast and far and how well you're doing, they'll always catch up.     I have love and hate for this game and honestly it's going to be one of those games that we will look back and admire. Firstly the graphics are amazing, even to this point comparing this game to Payback or Heat this game is still much better looking than both games. While racing games don't have a strong suit for stories this game does a great job with a story. Like I said it'll be memorable for its own flair because the game does indeed have some flair that I like. I'm not sure if it's the foxbody drifting down the nice watery road reflecting the light. It's a game I still go back to due to the street racing authenticity. As for the complaining on steering the game has a tunning section. I had no problem beating the game with the Foxbody and the steering was perfect. Don't know if it's because people don't know how to drift in the game but most people who had no patience complained on this game. The game is all based on your tuning.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game tries to bring back same aspects from the Undergroud, Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit series, but there is some lack of heart during the game, which is something found in the Underground 2 and Most Wanted 2005 for example. You basically can finish the game without major pursuits or stress with the police, the cut-offs to play the live action for the main story are terribly boring... no tension in the history, same boring scenes with no sense during the whole game and unfortunately the addition of all the professional drivers in the live-action don't save that. AI for the events is not that great and the overall history can be easily finished, there are more fun in on-line mode, for example.

    Cons
    - Missing the measure of the distance from my car and the next one (in seconds);
    - Poor variety for visual customization (poor amount of different parts, wheels, spoilers, etc.);
    - All the cars have basically the same performance after all upgrades;
    - The cars have a serious issue to perform the turns in the game.
    - Traps everywhere, every turn, specially when the fun is happening.

    Pros
    - Model fidelity of the Cars, beautiful and stunning (even the Active Aero Spoiler in Aventador automatically moves-up during high speeds);
    - The physics are good and the handling is nice (despite the performing turns issue);
    - Right size and distance proportion between cars, streets, corners, obstacles, etc;
    - City visual and construction (buildings, bridges, highways, etc.);
    - Expectation (you will expect something during the whole game, which gives you reason to play);

    Overall speaking, the game brings some fun, but could be much better.    … Expand

    + видеоролики с реальными людьми (актеры подобраны хорошо, к ним можно успеть привязаться) + музыка (тематику уличных гонок она передаёт на 100%) Минусы: - управление и физика (главные проблемы игры; к управлению очень сложно адаптироваться, более-менее нормально ездить начинаешь только к концу    Плюсы:
    + графика (она действительно отличная; капли дождя, отражения, визуальные эффекты)
    + видеоролики с реальными людьми (актеры подобраны хорошо, к ним можно успеть привязаться)
    + музыка (тематику уличных гонок она передаёт на 100%)

    Минусы:
    - управление и физика (главные проблемы игры; к управлению очень сложно адаптироваться, более-менее нормально ездить начинаешь только к концу игры; очень большая зависимость от настройки управления автомобиля; долгое восстановление после столкновений и аварий; на скорости 300+ км/ч водить очень страшно)
    - нет настройки уровня сложности (некоторые гонки действительно сложно пройти, особенно в режиме Prestige)
    - ИИ полицейских (они бесполезные, не доставляют почти никаких проблем, если ты не в гонке; заграждения появляются редко, оторваться от копов - дело 20 секунд)
    - необходимость в постоянном подключении к интернету (даже если играешь только в одиночный режим; частые разрывы соединения)

    Может не понравиться:
    = вечная ночь (к середине игры надоедает)
    = тюнинг (на первый взгляд он может показаться очень детальным, но далеко не все машины обладают всеми деталями тюнинга)
    = гараж всего на 10 мест (5 в гараже + 5 на складе)
    = нитро почти ничего не даёт (возможно я не прав, но на настройке "мощность" прироста в скорости не ощущается)

    Итог: атмосфера уличных гонок передана отлично, но управление чересчур непривычное (по сравнению с прошлыми частями NFS)    … Expand

    Это хорошая игра, хорошая попытка на продолжение серии, но физика... господи как же мне плохо было. Постоянные баги с физикой. машину кидает по трассе. Но игра очень красивая.     Generally, it was a good experience, but why do i get in a multiplayer server everytime? I always have manually to go solo, that's so annoying. Also, it was really dark in some sections, and i couldn't even see where i was going. AIs are too easy to avoid. The in-game dynamics are not the best.

    Nice story with real actors and stars from car culture, pretty cool car customization, nice car physics witch can be easily tuned for grip or drift. Nice looking city, yeah it’s small but it beautiful. Nice ost, and there is a lot free content witch was released after game launched

    La historia es buena pero hay veces que te quedas un poco WTF por las cosas raras que llegan a hacer los coches, y hablando de coches... Pues no hay muchos, la personalización de prestaciones es buena, ya no es una moneda al aire cada vez que vas a una carrera en multijugador, por todo esto no le puedo dar menos nota que a Rivals.

    All in all, the game does give you the vibe of nfsu2. Going in to it i expected very amazing visual customisation of cars. Sadly barely few cars had nfsu2 level of visual customisation. I was very saddened by it, but in the end the ones that could be were amazing to tune. Major problem is that this game is online only, the loading times are horrendous and if you want to play in your ownAll in all, the game does give you the vibe of nfsu2. Going in to it i expected very amazing visual customisation of cars. Sadly barely few cars had nfsu2 level of visual customisation. I was very saddened by it, but in the end the ones that could be were amazing to tune. Major problem is that this game is online only, the loading times are horrendous and if you want to play in your own map you have to suffer though 2 loading screens, after that you do forget about it because you load in to a map that looks stunning. Rain falling on your roof when you turn of the engine, just amazing. Cars sound nice, driving tho took some getting used to as I was trying to find the sweet spot of handling versus drift. After a while, when you get more cars set up its enough to have your older ones set up only for drifting. The other IMO even worse thing was the money, i wanted to immerse myself in to car tuning not grinding for money with my old drift bmw on a hard drift track that gave 8k each time i finished it. Story is fine enough, i would have gone for more nfsu2 thing, but more in depth.… Expand

    Need for Speed is a well-wrought game, full of interesting features, albeit without many fresh ideas. However, it is prone to deliver most of the gamers in the uncomfortable arms of boredom sooner than later, although it is bound to satisfy the hardcore fans.
