    It's great overall. Don't understand the hate. EAsuckslol is a perfect example of a troll review. As a fan of NFS and racing games since the mid 90s I'll give you a better intake on this game. The game gives you the ability to pick a character and customize it. There is a story and it is not strong like past NFS games, none ever had a strong story so whenever I hear any loser talk aboutIt's great overall. Don't understand the hate. Anyways the games physics are much better and arcade. The car list is okay. Something for everything but could have done a better job adding more tuners that don't need to be Toyota. The gameplay is the best part. There's a lot of races to do as you progress. I don't know what people are even asking for if Ghost literally did what fans asked for. A single player experience where you have a character that engages a little with the story. You will race a lot to progress and unlock parts you even have the ability to switch engines. The games system of racing during the day and night is excellent and it works. I don't understand how people are giving this game a low score just because. This was definitely the best racer for 2019 next to Wreckfest. This game doesn't have hardcore bugs as people claim and the mechanics are the best by far with the day and night cycle. It makes sense because during the day you earn money and at night you earn respect which makes sense. People suck and don't know anything about decent racing games and aren't good at them therefore they are salty. Police level 4 is easy to escape. I've escaped plenty of times. I don't understand the frustration people get out of this game.… Expand

    This is NFS getting their form back. It hooks you and keeps you coming back. The cars seem to have a character, pimping the looks, swamping engines, all adds to the experience. The races are challenging, night cops are hard, the day night switching is fun af. The bad; no drag racing, lots of bugs.
    It is not the best NFS, but it is the Best Modern NFS. Very underrated.

    EA just can't do anything right. They don't care about anything except quick money. This could be a good game. like NFS (2015) but they just don't care and don't support both products and users.

    Overall 6/10 Since tuning, story and racemodes are far more important to me than having good graphics i refuse to give more than 6. if this game had not been reduce to 30€ i would have NEVER bought it. Its sad to see that EA is never learning from past mistakes and refuses to earn a load of money with a good game. It would be so simple...    … Expand

    Ridiculous cops mechanics ruin all the fun. Cops just teleport to you and smash you. You can't drive away, you must deal with them through stunts. The game name is Need for Speed NOT Need for Stunt by the way... You can't normally progress without night races (races with cops!), where cops just smash you no matter how good you drive.

    The game itself is very nice. I love the car sounds, they're very well made. The soundtrack isn't very good but i think it fits the game so i'll just let it pass. The choice of cars is very good and the customization is what takes the cake in this game. To sum up, it is not perfect but it's not bad either, therefore i'll give it a 7 out of 10.

    1) Latin music is really bad, it's not for racing.
    2) Horrible style - absolutely all the characters look like hipsters. It's look like and Asphalt for mobile devices.
    3) The plot made on the basis of fan fiction 13-year-old girls do not even want to describe.
    4) The city is generally empty during the day. In the same Underground 2, there is a lot of bots ride and honk, but here you are in a zombie apocalypse.
    5) I don’t know where the scriptwriters live, but in real street races people drive honda accords, mitsubishy lancers, subaru impreza and . Not on supercars. This destroys the whole atmosphere, unlike the underground 2, where there are corollas, mx5 and celica, which, for example, in Cyprus, are just thousands.    … Expand

    I'm not a fan of this game at all. The gameplay sucks, the music sucks and the story sucks. I hate the steering.. I loved "Need for Speed Most Wanted" back in the day but this is nothing like it.... The drifting and steering is soooooooo baddddddd....... Again why is the music so trash? 0/10

    Great game! I love the customization of vehicles here. Car physics became better. You can now feel the grip and change the way you want your car to be controlled. Way better than NFS 2015. Unfortunately, the storyline isn’t that good, that’s why Need for Speed Heat is a 9/10 for me.

Running from the cops should be the most fun part of the game but in my hundreds of hours there has never been a moment when running from the cops that I ever prolonged a chase because I was enjoying myself. That's because I hate it. They have an unfair catchup mechanic and the only way to lose them is by hitting jumps.The best street racing game since Carbon. The cops are awful though.     Я играю в nfs из-за сюжета, но тут он слишком приземлённый. Текстуры не успевают погружаться и больно смотреть как во время тюнинга у тебя всё это прорисовывается. Загрузочный экран прям 10/10 ничего больше не скажешь. Графика ночью вроде бы и красивая, но утром она куда хуже. Саундтреки ужасные, кроме рэпа ничего больше нет.     The graphics in this game could have been better, but they are still good. The main story is too short and poorly written. The game has decent driving mechanics. I know that it is an arcade racer, but they could have made the handling of the vehicles more satisfying. That being said, the racing can be fun, especially in multiplayer.     My expectations from the Need For Speed franchise are rather low at this point, but considering NFS Heat as an arcade racing game fails to deliver enjoyable driving experience makes me wonder about the low-key excitement surrounding some of the press the game has been getting thus far. Simply put, the game's core gameplay mechanics of driving are awful. Even games like GTA V, where driving is very much a secondary activity, succeed to deliver a driving experience more engaging and fun than the one found behind the wheel on Heat.

    I want to emphasise the point that I understand this is an arcade racing game and I'm very familiar with the franchise, but the driving experience just isn't fun and the cars feel about as lifeless as the game looks. The cars handle poorly, cornering feels especially awful and I definitely can not recommend the game for anyone wanting to enjoy a fun arcade racer.

    To put it bluntly, this game is a steaming pile of neon bulls***. The streets feel empty and the game world itself devoid of a soul. It seems like the game has barely anything going on for itself and it seems hard to believe Heat to be a AAA game instead of one of those free-to-play online racing mmo's.

    In all honesty I can not think of a single good reason for anyone to buy this game and in good conscience can not recommend this game to anyone. 3/10 simply because the game is not profoundly broken, only profusely so.    … Expand

    This is the best NFS Game since Prostreet, as it builds on elements from previous games (both Ghost and Black Box) in ways we haven't seen in over ten years, and that's fax. Is the story bad? Yes, but it does stuff I didn't expect and isn't super intrusive (see Carbon for an intrusive storyline). Is the music terrible? Yes, but I usually flip on a playlist and mute the music for these games anyway. Are the cops hard? Yes. Stay out of Level 3-4 pursuits until you get a better car, and git gud, after you start getting close to beating the game (which is like 5/8ths as powerful as your car can get) you can evade them with ease.

    But this game does a lot right. Decent choice in cars, good world and track design, good visual design without too many nasty filters or effects, and an honestly phenomenal customization system. The physics are different than a lot of other games, but they feel fine. Not realistic, and that's a good thing for a game like this. The cars have a decent weight to them and over/understeer if you tune them wrong and go too fast into a corner, but you can really dial it in and make them handle exactly how you want. It takes some time, but my Countach, M3 GTR and Devil Z handle really well.
    I didn't like drifting at first either, but then i just did it enough and it clicked and found them to be a healthy challenge. Tutorial for it is awful though so I see why people don't like it.

    No one as actually mentioned what I take issue with the game. No wheel support yet, and that's booty cheeks. VR Support missing isn't a surprise, but damn after playing Assetto Corsa it's hard to go back to monitor view. The worst part is the multiplayer, you just kinda get invited to a lobby to race with zero balancing, or matchmaking, or anything. It's supplementary, but still, i wish it was better.

    So yeah, 9/10. TL;DR this NFS game is fun, for the first time since 2007. The world is fun to be in, the races are VERY well choreographed, and the customization is bang on. Story is cheesy and the lines are poorly delivered but I honestly couldn't care less. Cops are finally a decent challenge even if they feel like **** at first. Peace.    … Expand

    NFS Heat brings back to U2 and MW days. Its a game that got me hooked up again and really wanting to play some NFS. Graphics are great and gameplay pretty fun, although cops are tough.

    Great game, races activities and all. Everything about the game is stylish, immersive and the story is well-driven. It's a great racing game, and would recommend to anyone looking for one.

I like the pink-blue Miami vibe but that’s something that stops to matter after a while. Instead, once you are used to the game (after 40,000,000RP, I am) you start to notice its problems: terrible displayNFS Heat feels like the previous NFS titles too much. A good thing is that the car handling has been improved. Drift and grip are now more distinguishable and handle more as they should. I like the pink-blue Miami vibe but that’s something that stops to matter after a while. Instead, once you are used to the game (after 40,000,000RP, I am) you start to notice its problems: terrible display distances (cops in opposite direction would literally not load when riding too fast, online players’ cars disappear when too far away, etc), terrible AI of PS3-looking traffic (for example, they will systematically stop when they cross road intersections) and no interesting endgame.

    Unfortunately, it’s not just the endgame that has poor content. The « story » is, once again, super uninteresting, extremely short and all what’s left to do then is to complete all collectibles and grind for a few ultimate parts (that won’t be useful once you get them anyway). The races are nice but get repetitive after a while, and to be honest, they have very low interest if not played online (ideally with friends who will restrain from idiotically ramming). A terrible disappointment is that regular racing is the only activity you can play online. Drifts, story missions or time trial races are all solo-only. I’m happy the NFS 2015 system is back, but why not entirely or more? All of these elements support why I say content is lacking, and why the impression this game gives is a lack of content at an extent where you wonder why you are playing it.

    In terms of cars, I think the game does pretty okay. No big surprises, not a crazy amount of cars, but I appreciate the several recent 2019-2020 models. The customization remains good, in line with what we have been given since 2015, with a few new things here and there, such as possibility to modify engine sound. A touch I loved is the crew system; the simple fact of being able to see your mates’ cars in the garage is very cool, and to be honest I feel that is the main novelty of the game, unfortunately not in line with its restrictiveness when it comes to play the game online with friends.

    In conclusion, it’s hard to say NFS Heat is particularly good. Sure, the handling might be better, but apart from that, what has really changed? Even the map feels less good than Payback, and all the things I quoted above explain why I cannot really find any characteristic that makes this game a must-have. It’s pleasant to play online with friends, especially in the first hours when things still feel new, but it quickly runs out of steam afterwards, with its many imperfections/problems. It’s maybe time we see a true revolution in NFS, where the new game doesn’t resemble the previous ones.    … Expand

    Basically made for kids. The story is childish, the premise of needing street cred to buy parts is beyond idiotic, the handling is pure arcade, and the modification system was designed by people who have never even read a car magazine, much less actually turn a wrench.

    It's one of the better Need for Speed game's made in recent time Imo easily top 5 in NFS franchise.     Some cool features from nfs 2015 like visual styling make this game good, but there are a lot cons like:
    -terrible drift, -game looks even worse than 2015, -cops chases broken and unbalanced (like you car get a tons of damage when cop easily touched you)
    -stupid storyline -terrible ost (only has stupid rap and latinos music)

Or is it just a sign of how stupid people have become and we are a generation that will pay $10 for different coloured pixels. This may as well be NFS2 Remastered. If the nostalgia of NFS2 was enough to ignore the fact it was one of the worst racing games of all time then this is the game for you.

    Need for heat feels spectacular it's a big improvement from nfs payback.I love that you can switch from day to night it has that underground feel to it so I would recommend this game to people who are fans of nfs

    I played everything in the name of ''NFS'.Always i have hope and i said this can be the one i waiting for. With HEAT another failure.. I will mention about cops.Nearly impossible to escape them and this ruins the game.At days win race earn money, at nights earn reputation and again nights lose half of everything you have its annoying.     Actually need for speed games are so boring at these days but this game is different because you do not need to just follow missions . But when you modified a car you notice that it has no diversity from need for speed payback . And there is no barricade so if you make a mistake you must start over ! Also you can change the sounds of your car !But despite everything game is good ...

    This has to be the best Need for Speed I have played in a long time. What ghoust got wrong with payback the got it right with Need for Speed Heat. The story is amazing, but I wish the story was longer than it is. The car list is amazing and the car customisation is better than ever. I highly recommend this game.

    Need for Speed Heat is one of the absolute best Need for Speed games yet. After so many years, Need for Speed is back on the right track and NFS Heat is a fantastic comeback and a triumphant return to form for the series. But this game is not as good as NFS Hot Pursuit 2, NFS Underground 1 and Underground 2, and the iconic NFS Most Wanted (2005).

But even customer support doesn’t know how to fix this, so they just tell you to hang in there.

    one of the best IMO, almost on par with NFS 2015, no need to be always online but the multiplayer is done really well, improvements on every aspect! (except maybe the soundtrack but that is just personal preference)

    Playing Need for speed: heat was fun at first.
    But, playing through the story line, that was short and unbalanced with leveling up your Reputation, realy let me down. I was rep Level 49 before finishing the last 6 so called story missions. This game looks like UG2, feels a Little like most wanted. BUt no its not.this game was finished before it got started.

    cidade vazia, gráficos no primeiro momento me surpreenderão, mas quando em 4k é possível ver os defeitos, a chuva é até bacana formando as poças d'água, porém elas não tem física, os carros são até que bem detalhados, mas os personagem, parecem ser do the sims 2, cidade vazia, a policia tem tantos recursos pra acabar com você, porque pra ter uma barra de durabilidade que não dura quasecidade vazia, gráficos no primeiro momento me surpreenderão, mas quando em 4k é possível ver os defeitos, a chuva é até bacana formando as poças d'água, porém elas não tem física, os carros são até que bem detalhados, mas os personagem, parecem ser do the sims 2, cidade vazia, a policia tem tantos recursos pra acabar com você, porque pra ter uma barra de durabilidade que não dura quase nada além da barra de prisão (que muitas vezes mesmo não estando parado surge) é um horror, a gameplay me da a experiencia de um jogo lego, carro destrói quase todo o cenário como as arvores como se fossem papel...
    Prós:
    -O mapa está quase no ponto, Palm City funciona. (menos as rampas que estão pela cidade sem nenhuma explicação, ao meu ver)
    -A personalização é legal, mas não é nada fora da realidade como muitos falam, a customização do "U2" ainda é maior, alguns carros quase não tem muitas peças.
    -A personalização do som do carro é incrível
    - Policiais muito agressivos são uma grande vantagem
    -A noite é muito legal, e o "conquiste tudo ou perca tudo" parece realmente gratificante.
    -Não há microtransações, pelo menos a partir de agora (eu não queria mencionar isso, porque isso não deveria estar em jogos com preços completos).
    Contras:
    -Graficamente, o jogo não se destaca (alguma implementação realmente ruim de anti-serrilhado, carregamento de textura com atraso, qualidade da textura também parece ruim. Joguei em 1080p - no Max)
    -Uma história muito esquecível e muito curta
    -Um monte de bugs, pelo menos até momento (o jogo travou 4 vezes em uma única jogada, na segunda vez, bloqueou o meu PC e tive que reiniciar o carro capotou e se recusou a respawnar, ficou assim por 15 segundos até que eu fui preso por causa disso, muitos outros bugs que me incomodaram)
    - Problemas de conectividade
    - fiquei preso em uma tela de carregamento várias vezes e tive que reiniciar o jogo (meu amigo que estava comigo teve o mesmo problema ao mesmo tempo)
    -O tempo do dia parece realmente sem graça
    - A trilha sonora é totalmente horrível (tem funk mano...)
    Muitos dos problemas mencionados acima podem ser facilmente corrigidos, sem dúvida. A série parece estar indo na direção certa, mas acabei não me divertindo tanto.
    Esta é minha opinião sobre.

This Need for speed (Heat) is the best NFS since underground 2 and Most wanted. Why you ask? Because, as many others said, they took the best parts from all the nfs and put it in this one! Sure the game ain't perfect, but it has everything we want from a nfs game! It's obvious that these spoiled kids here with the bad reviews are just pissed because they can't escape the police or they don't know how to drift. Or the fact that the graphics CAN'T be better due to the spec limitations on the consoles. But now after finishing the game, I can say the game is beautiful and I love it. Here comes the good parts and the bad parts.

    Good:

    - Many different cars for every taste
    - Tons of styles for the look of the car (depends what car tho)
    - Many ways to tune the car for your desired handling or race.
    - Day - Night by your choice
    - Transfer your engine parts onto another car
    - Offline mode
    - No microtransactions - Really hard cops (this is good and bad)

    Bad:

    - As I said, cops are maybe too hard for lower ranks, too fast maybe?
    - The music could be much better, although I mute it and use spotify - The cops take not just the money from what you earned that night, but straight out of your bank.
    - I lost some parts while transitioning from online to offline and vice versa, probably a bug that will be fixed in the future.
    - The price on the console in the digital store (download) was maybe a bit too pricey compared to a real store (on disc). So that's why I bought it on a sale in the digital store.

    And that's it, I personally love it and I really hope that they will keep making them like this! Most of the butthurt kids on here should be ignored because no matter how good the game is, they will always find a reason to complain about. Clearly they don't know what they want.

Sense of speed is pretty great but most of the AI is flat out retarded. Story is super short and offers no real reason to keep playing unless you're a completionist. If you can snag this for half price or less, it's probably worth picking up. Definitely not worth full pop. One thing I see a bunch of complaints about is the game is too arcade-y.... bro have you ever played a NFS game? It's what they've been doing for 25 years with less than a handful of exceptions. If you want a sim, play a sim.

    But there's still lots of parts that they didn't add as they promise, like where the hell K.S full blown parts for the Polestar!?!... like they've just let us drive it for a minutes.. yea I said it "a minutes" then dumped out of the sea!... nice way to farewell K.S (sigh)

    - Can't play as the police!

    - Всё окружение вдоль дорог, включая каменные заборы, ломается. Врезаешься в машину при скорости 150 км/ч - не беда! Ты просто замедляешься до 130 и продолжаешь движение не меняя направления.     This game has its flaws, but I have not put it down since I bought it. The one thing they need to work on still is the handling, but its definitely better than the last installment!!! The customization is a lot of fun and the races are a blast. The cops can be a little difficult at times, but not to the point where I think it's a bad thing. I hope for some more vehicles as there was a few times I was scratching at my head at some of the car choices and why they dont have 2019 vehicles or even 2018 is beyond me. The physics of the cars are good but I was hoping for some real car damage I mean slamming a wall at 150mph and not having any damage was kind of lame. The story is ehh but like I said the effort on the racing is much improved. All and all a great step in the right direction. And before I forget, NO MICRO TRANSACTIONS? You actually have to grind on a EA game? Bug thumbs up for that. I'm actually giving this a 8.0/10. A ten to offset these fake ass low scores!!!… Expand

    COULD be a good game if you guys didn’t make the police impossible to escape for no reason during a race and basically lose everything you earned during a night thanks for wasting my time just when I thought a good need for speed was coming out you guys make it dumb by trying to throw in all these new ideas.     Пока издатель и разработчики не поймут, что все то, что они выпускают последнее года - такое никому ненужно, то ничего не изменится - мы и дальше будем получать низкосортные проекты, и уничтожение культовых серий.    … Expand

    Beware - campaign cutscene length is less than two hours. In total I finished the campaign in about 6 - 8 hours...and that was me taking my time free roaming and smashing billboards. I foolishly paid £54.99 thinking it was a huge game. Thankfully GAME is offering me £30 to trade it back. The problem with NFS Heat is once you've finished the short campaign there's nothing left to do. Sure,Beware - campaign cutscene length is less than two hours. If you're going to get this game (I wouldn't recommend it, especially at full price) make sure to find collectibles and do driving stories as you progress through the campaign. If you do the campaign all at once, there isn't much worth doing after.… Expand

Since I can't give it a 7.5 I have given it an 8, since at the time of writing this the user score was 6.6 which is a joke and like always the cause of frustrated people giving it a 0 complaining about ps2 graphics while hoping it would be exactly the same like the original most wanted which surprise, surprise is a ps2 game...

    Anyway I'm not going to tell you this game is perfect.

    Graphics: the graphics are good, nothing like gran turismo but definitely better than the need for speeds on ps2 and ps3. If you liked the graphics in need for speed 2015, you are going to like these as well. Only complaint here for me is the loading time on stickers and how stickers look on opponents.

    Gameplay: The problem with this game and it's gameplay (mainly handling) is that it starts of very poorly and only really gets better by the end of the story. You'll have to get used to how the cars handle. I feel like a lot of times the cars have too much under steer, and you'll have to find a way to work around that problem with the e-brake and the brake to drift system. In the beginning of the game with a slow car this can be pretty annoying, combine that with the aggressive cops and only 3 repairs at night and you'll feel like the game is broken and unbalanced. HOWEVER! I kept on going and after beating the story your car will be around level 300. That's where the fun begins, the handling now will translate into something quite similar to the original most wanted, and now your chances of fleeing from the cops without some trick you found on youtube will highly improve. And it only get's better as you improve the parts on your car. Once you are around 370-400+ the cops will feel like peasants. Of course it's a real shame you only unlock this feeling in the post game, they should of balanced it better with the slower cars. Also I feel like they should of made the cops less aggressive but way more intelligent, now the danger is not the techniques they use to stop you but just them wrecking your car.

    Story: While I like the idea around the story and I like the characters, it just feels rushed. There are only 4 chapters and a couple of side missions (drift, rally and race). It could have easily been double that amount. Seriously the cop in the trailer that hyped us so much with 'the I said right now!' phrase is hardly in there. At a certain point you crash him and that's it, bye bye Shaw!. At the end of the story you will see an iconic car that was impounded by the cops, there is no explaination on how that car got there whatsoever, because the owner of that car doesn't seem like the type to just give up on it. Why not make him appear in the story or someone from that game! Also what is up with the league, who are these drivers? What makes them so special except for the fact they have expensive cars and clothes? Why not explore the league more? Make us climb to the top of the league with some kind of black list/ most wanted list. The story ends with you being around level 30, with half of the cars and parts still to be unlocked. I'll be honnest I felt a bit lost on how to feel about it.
    I honestly feel like the story is the biggest problem with this game, if it were longer and more fleshed out this game in my opinion could have been an 8.5-9 out of 10.

    Now you must be asking yourself with all this negativity why give it a high score?
    Well because if you are a bit of a petrolhead and you love the idea of a game based around having multiple project cars this game is amazing! Okay, you'll have to grind a bit. But in my opinion there is nothing wrong with a grind. For me that's the reason (sorry for bringing this game up) why I don't like forza horizon that much, it keeps throwing reward cars at you and that in my opinion is really boring also NO loot boxes like in payback! Being in a crew or having friends is a big plus, you'll have fun trying to beat their scores and times and having car meet ups, hopefully they'll introduce speedlists soon.

    Verdict: 7.5/10 Okay it has it's fair share of problems, the pace of the story combined with the way slow cars handle will leave you puzzled but give it a chance. Go for level 50 after beating the story and you might fall in love again with the need for speed franchise.

    You arent't that sure about it yet and find 60-70 euro to expensive, wait for price drop around 30-40 euro and I'll promise you, you'll feel even happier than me who bought it on launch.

    TIP: Go on youtube to find you some tricks on how to escape the cops and set up a drift car, that will save you from a lot of frustration.    … Expand

    Need for Speed: Heat is the first good step for the franchise in years. Devoid of micro transactions, providing some Underground-like neon vibes with it’s best customization system, it can provide more than a dozen of hours of fun, despite it’s dead like world design and irrelevant and boring story.

    Again, I don’t think Need for Speed Heat does much to re-invent the wheel when it comes to open-world racing games, but it does help reset the franchise in a way that felt necessary at this point. It’s an enjoyable experience throughout, the story is entertaining if maybe a little too serious, and the overall progression path is well realized. If you’re hungry to get behind the wheel of a virtual car this season, Need for Speed Heat is likely going to be the game for you.
