    To be honest this is the worst 2k I've ever played the gameplay is trash and slow, you miss layups with low coverage, you can't defend and I'm really considering not the next 2k.

    I can't believe there's no negative critic review on this garbage which is averaging 0.8 user score. 2K is not respecting their customers, at all. They make myteam mode looks like a mobile pay-to-win game while we have to pay the full price of this product at first. They only know how to launch some ridiculous myteam card to earn more money.     NBA 2k19 has some incredibly fun modes and gameplay, but it’s hampered down by an insane amount of pressure to make micro transactions (is it even “micro” if they want me to spend $50 all the time?) and comes off like a passive aggressive attack against their customers. While 2k claims they are making VC easier to earn, they can only claim this due to a deceptive change to the game. ForNBA 2k19 has some incredibly fun modes and gameplay, but it’s hampered down by an insane amount of pressure to make micro transactions (is it even “micro” if they want me to spend $50 all the time?) and comes off like a passive aggressive attack against their customers. While 2k claims they are making VC easier to earn, they can only claim this due to a deceptive change to the game. For example, last year $10 worth of VC only get a MyPlayer up to a 67 or 68, but this year, you can get it well into the 70s. However, they only lowered the cost of lower level VC. . You'll STILL need 200k VC, or $50 worth, in order to go from a 60 to 85, exact,y the same as 2k19, which is a difficuly task for an adult like myself who works 40 hours a week and has a family. Once again, The MyCareer path could have easily been called 'Return to the Grind” or simply, “give us your money mode.' This doesn’t even get into the casino elements that nearly everyone on here is complaining about (and justifiably, they’re right).

    Once you get passed the VC issues, the game is still fun in some ways. The new MyCareer story mode took a step back this year, but it’s not as cringe as 2k15-2k18. I wish they’d just focus on making a better MyCareer game then some a rather boring pre-NBA movie. I don’t think 2K has realized that players don’t care nearly as much about their characters BEFORE they enter the NBA, so maybe they’ll fix that in future games. I loved that they added the WNBA this year and hope they’ll expand it next year. They also fixed the “teammate” grading system from last year, making it much more fair. I also like some of the balance tuning they made to shooting.

    Overall, NBA 2K is a fun game that is hindered by it's desire to take the absolutely every penny they can get From it’s most devoted fans. I don’t hate 2k, I love them, basketball is my favorite sport and my hobby in many ways, I just wish 2k could take a step back and realize that their fangs are unhappy for a reason.    … Expand

    Worst animations, worst dynamics ever. Im going to play 2k17 or 16. They are better than this game. Just another money maker.

Literally nothing changed on 20 but the controls the neighborhood is the same a new bull **** prelude story but same 2K... trying to get you to buy VC so you won't have to start all the way over with another ****ty my player

    This is legit the worst game I’ve ever played. I can’t even describe how much of a disappointment it is. No improvements made from 2k19. This game is not even slightly realistic with graphics that just would never happen in real life. Help defenders makes me want to break my ps4.

    This game has become one of the most underwhelming releases on the year. Bugs have taken over the game ever since its birth and it has not been fixed since, and has possibly gotten worse. 2k devs clearly don't care about the game. All they care about is the cash that falls onto their fat laps during the games release. Its been like this since the 2k17 and it has not changed since.     The game is just a joke, its NBA 2K18.5 bro. The gameplay is terrible, if you dont green its not going in (except in mycarrer), the servers are trash, the park is the same, its just not worth buying.

    Worse 2k game ever. Game play isn’t as responsive as older 2k games. Your my player will ultra suck even if you’ve upgraded to 90. Slow reaction time, slow shot gather up, games are rigged or decided for you to be lose, your team AI will be the stupidest scorers ever.

Throughout my life I have went through some pretty torturous experience i.e. 2k18 and 2k19 but after experiencing the atrocity that is 2k20 I look back at my times at 2k18 and 19 with a smile. As if this wasn't enough they have also implemented a RNG component to shooting! YES. SHOOTING!!! When you play 2k20 it is like playing basketball in the 40s people act like the three point line isn't a thing. The game is plagued with rim running whores. Prior to the launch of NBA 2K20 there was a lot of talk about in innovative new way to make your myplayer that would emphasize diversity and allow you to create players capable of doing more than just one thing. This myplayer system is ass. It encourages uniformity by limiting the types of builds you can make and allowing everyone to use the same badges. On top of this the badge system although at first glance a marvelous feature allowing players to choose exactly what badges they like is terrible. The badge system is a facade as many of the badges you are required to choose if you want to be a capable myplayer. In con-closing I think 2k20 is unconstitutional and I feel like it contradicts my civil liberties as an American citizen. 2k games needs to be held responsible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME. GO OUTSIDE AND COUNT THE CLOUDS IN THE SKY IT IS MORE ENTERTAINING.… Expand

I think 2k18 was still enjoyable then this and I didn’t like 2k18. I just can’t play this game. I get lagged out of parks and when I do get in the park I can’t get in to a game.     NBA 2K20 includes fewer innovations than a "copy/paste club", yet manages to still play and feel pretty great. Gambling and microtransactions involved are becoming more and more toxic with each year tho.
