    To be honest this is the worst 2k I've ever played the gameplay is trash and slow, you miss layups with low coverage, you can't defend and I'm really considering not the next 2k.

They make myteam mode looks like a mobile pay-to-win game while we have to pay the full price of this product at first. They only know how to launch some ridiculous myteam card to earn more money.     NBA 2k19 has some incredibly fun modes and gameplay, but it’s hampered down by an insane amount of pressure to make micro transactions (is it even “micro” if they want me to spend $50 all the time?) and comes off like a passive aggressive attack against their customers. While 2k claims they are making VC easier to earn, they can only claim this due to a deceptive change to the game. ForNBA 2k19 has some incredibly fun modes and gameplay, but it’s hampered down by an insane amount of pressure to make micro transactions (is it even “micro” if they want me to spend $50 all the time?) and comes off like a passive aggressive attack against their customers. While 2k claims they are making VC easier to earn, they can only claim this due to a deceptive change to the game. For example, last year $10 worth of VC only get a MyPlayer up to a 67 or 68, but this year, you can get it well into the 70s. However, they only lowered the cost of lower level VC. . You'll STILL need 200k VC, or $50 worth, in order to go from a 60 to 85, exact,y the same as 2k19, which is a difficuly task for an adult like myself who works 40 hours a week and has a family. Once again, The MyCareer path could have easily been called 'Return to the Grind” or simply, “give us your money mode.' This doesn’t even get into the casino elements that nearly everyone on here is complaining about (and justifiably, they’re right).

    Once you get passed the VC issues, the game is still fun in some ways. The new MyCareer story mode took a step back this year, but it’s not as cringe as 2k15-2k18. I wish they’d just focus on making a better MyCareer game then some a rather boring pre-NBA movie. I don’t think 2K has realized that players don’t care nearly as much about their characters BEFORE they enter the NBA, so maybe they’ll fix that in future games. I loved that they added the WNBA this year and hope they’ll expand it next year. They also fixed the “teammate” grading system from last year, making it much more fair. I also like some of the balance tuning they made to shooting.

    Overall, NBA 2K is a fun game that is hindered by it's desire to take the absolutely every penny they can get From it’s most devoted fans. I don’t hate 2k, I love them, basketball is my favorite sport and my hobby in many ways, I just wish 2k could take a step back and realize that their fangs are unhappy for a reason.    … Expand

    This is legit the worst game I’ve ever played. I can’t even describe how much of a disappointment it is. No improvements made from 2k19. This game is not even slightly realistic with graphics that just would never happen in real life. Help defenders makes me want to break my ps4.

Bugs have taken over the game ever since its birth and it has not been fixed since, and has possibly gotten worse. 2k devs clearly don't care about the game.     Worse 2k game ever. Game play isn’t as responsive as older 2k games. Your my player will ultra suck even if you’ve upgraded to 90. Slow reaction time, slow shot gather up, games are rigged or decided for you to be lose, your team AI will be the stupidest scorers ever.

Prior to the launch of NBA 2K20 there was a lot of talk about in innovative new way to make your myplayer that would emphasize diversity and allow you to create players capable of doing more than just one thing. This myplayer system is ass. It encourages uniformity by limiting the types of builds you can make and allowing everyone to use the same badges. On top of this the badge system although at first glance a marvelous feature allowing players to choose exactly what badges they like is terrible. The badge system is a facade as many of the badges you are required to choose if you want to be a capable myplayer. In con-closing I think 2k20 is unconstitutional and I feel like it contradicts my civil liberties as an American citizen. 2k games needs to be held responsible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME. Many spin rewards don't work, game crashes, AIs are ridiculously dumb. And they basically copied most of the game and graphics from NBA 2k19 except with a lot more bugs with the newer version.     Broken game mechanics, microtransactions, lack of quality and authenticity to basketball, their too focused on monetizing the game and surrounding the game with advertisements, which would be fine if the game wasn't fundamentally broken. Full price game with free to play mobile microtransactions, little improvements from one game to the next, game is the living example of how a monopoly can work.

    I'm not someone who falls for the micro transaction aspect of this game because i refuse to play MyCareer and MyTeam for that reason which is a shame because i find MyTeam in 2k17 really fun. i consider my self to be a casual gamer, who doesn't play online and plays the computer on Hall of Fame difficulty. i feel like the graphics are slightly better, animations are better (not all areI'm not someone who falls for the micro transaction aspect of this game because i refuse to play MyCareer and MyTeam for that reason which is a shame because i find MyTeam in 2k17 really fun. i consider my self to be a casual gamer, who doesn't play online and plays the computer on Hall of Fame difficulty. i feel like the graphics are slightly better, animations are better (not all are needed), and the gameplay is mostly improved. im really big on MyGM/MyLeague, however this game this year is just not cutting it for me. i use the Nets who on paper have 8 SF's and no PF but the game wont let me change players positions once you start MyGM/MyLeague. in terms of the actual game play the jump ball is never stated whether when your suppose to press triangle, I've tried it at all different times and i hardly ever win it. lightly contested layups hardly go in and open shots that's not perfect release practically ever go in. the computer makes every layup unless you block it. sometimes you wanna go for a driving layup and the player comes to a complete stop before they attempt the layup which results in a block. on the fly subs get glitchy after the 1st quarter.… Expand

If people like it they should go for it. But it shouldn't have any influence on your win chances so that the game is available too anyone!

This game has this but it’s almost impossible To do more than one time. * passing has become a huge delayed system... now if you pass... it’s slowly getting to the person and feels like when you get it... the defender is right there. That being sad the game is slow and less exciting
    * dribble moves are sweet and well-done but by the time you cross someone up, you’ll be losing the ball because the computer wanted to high five you after that **** (Aka you dribbled onto jr Smith’s knee and turned it over)
    * myplayer has a good story, seems they know that’s the money making... but honestly it’s the same. The pickup courts are a rich kid at Center at height 7.1 overall 99 (can’t be done, but you understand hopefully) and a SG/SF pick and rolling on repeat. *myteam is pretty cool though, way better than Maddens ultimate team. *online ranked/quick play using actual teams is overall the same as before with the new gameplay... same **** happens... you win by 20 in the first and they leave. Andddd you get nothing. No stats... no level... nothing.
    * overall this game is slow and boring. ——————————————-
    What I miss and think should change.

    * online ranked (regular team being) should ban for 30 minutes, if you leave a match. DC/leave is a problem in every game but you have to deal with that and swallow that dc for a 15-30 minute ban.

    *myplayer should be easier to group with randoms somehow (idea, working on that)
    * passing should be quick, defense should change back to 2k12 style. You got the body work done, now add basic speed. Slow **** is boring and seems like I’m working instead of playing a game.
    * if I pass in the air, don’t make them retarded. It’s not that danm hard and is a common way of passing. Make it possible again. Same as old days, it’s not always a good idea, you might step out of bounce. But you can catch it. * overall ya’ll slackin. Whoever is workin on this... needs to go play basketball again and forget the graphics. It’s the gameplay we like. * 2k12-15 good job.(Didn’t play previous versions)

    Company tries to milk customers by any means possible. Games wastes 100s of hours of your time by having 5 cutscenes and loading screens whereever possible. Gameplay wise very stale and scripted. Going against the meta (3 point barrage) is punished heavily by incompetent game design.

    Imagine grinding this game for 100 hours to max your player, then 2k decides to nerf your player without any recourse.

    I also bought their MX called VC because the grind was rediculous in the first place.

    Fix the sharpshooter badge! It’s broken. Also, none of the problems of past 2k games such as it forcing you out of bounds/backcourt, stupidly contested shots, and how you can’t actually do anything permanent for your player at the Gatorade gym. Terrible game

    NBA 2K20 includes fewer innovations than a "copy/paste club", yet manages to still play and feel pretty great. Gambling and microtransactions involved are becoming more and more toxic with each year tho.
