While it may be the same game, it still OK. Maybe it would have did better, this game will be good.

The career mode is largely the same as the 2005 career mode in the EA Sports versions. Start on dirt, on to the truck series, the xfinity series, then the big show. I'm surprised there's never been any sort of character based story added to this game the way NBA2K and some others have done quite well.

Some of the lighting visuals are pretty solid, and the highly customizable

Some of the lighting visuals are pretty solid, and the highly customizable difficulty settings allow you some good flexibility so that you can make racing competitive. The reputation system is pretty decent, and serves as a stopgap to causing cautions and wrecks. Having some sort of crew chief to help you out with mechanics would be useful to those that don't have a huge knowledge of those elements of racing.

It’s an excellent racing experience held together with numerous player-friendly gameplay options and superb controls, but anyone who played NASCAR Heat 4 will likely get a feeling of déjà vu.

Gameplay was a strength of NASCAR Heat 4, and that has been augmented for NH5. The play is so much fun, it helps to compensate for some of the presentation issues, and what I’d describe as a lack of creativity in other areas. Those issues prevent the game from being great. That said, I’d still consider it the strongest release in the series’ history, and a solid get for NASCAR and racing fans.

NASCAR Heat 5 is a step backward for the series, but still delivers some tense and rewarding racing.
