    The story mode is okay, with slightly too much button mashing. Good cast of characters, but it doesn't make a difference really. The mechanics between characters are too similar. The old ninja storms used to have fewer characters, but with greatly differing mechanics. Some jutsus used to sacrifice hp for more damage, or apply buffs or debuffs.     I played all the games Saga Storm and I can tell you that this is the best of all of course the nostalgic factor puts to me that the Storm 2 is the best put in question as improving gameplay, graphic, character number, right online stability compared to others in the launch makes me say that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is yes the best Naruto game ever made to date, of course,I played all the games Saga Storm and I can tell you that this is the best of all of course the nostalgic factor puts to me that the Storm 2 is the best put in question as improving gameplay, graphic, character number, right online stability compared to others in the launch makes me say that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is yes the best Naruto game ever made to date, of course, nothing is perfect as the adventure mode is now separated from the history in my case I I prefer when the two are one and the other Saga Storm.

    Epic. Tal vez la fata de ninjutsus y las repeticiones de personajes son algo pasadas, pero el modo historia sigue muy bien al manga y al respectivo anime.

Graphically, the game has not improved much since it's many past incarnations on previous generation hardware, but the over-the-top action and drama sequences in the relatively short story campaignA solid fighting game with a humongous character roster, artful story mode and plenty of unlockables make Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 one of the best anime adapted games to date. Graphically, the game has not improved much since it's many past incarnations on previous generation hardware, but the over-the-top action and drama sequences in the relatively short story campaign are quite stunningly portrayed. The frame-rate remains steady this time around, even with six interchangeable fighters using insane special moves and attacks on-screen at one time, so there is no slowdown during player combat, unlike the previous titles in this series. In addition, there are several survival, challenge and tournament modes, all of which are fun and rewarding. The addition of an after-story RPG mode adds to the overall length of the game, though it is nowhere as impressive as the main campaign mode.     This game is a blast and a hell of a lot better with its combat mechanics than storm 3 and revolution. Its kind of sad that they removed mecha naruto but then again they did the same with lars from storm 2.

I mean they have plenty of cutscenes and they are all so very nice to look at. Boss fights of course are amazing with the graphic fidelity. I mean there was one part of the story mode were they re-used the boss battle cutscene with the 4th hokage vs the masked man from storm 3.... and it definitely shows how out-dated those graphics are. It was kind of weird to see it there, they didn't even bother to remaster the cutscene or anything, they just copied and pulled it out from storm 3. Other than that, I mean the story mode is fantastic. Though Getting S ranks in story mode is a real... pain.... like if you even lose more than 90 or 80% of your heath, instant A rank.... geez Storm 3 was easier than this.

    Gameplay - New leader change system gives you some new and creative ways to pull off some sick combos. The game is also a lot harder because of this. The AI has definitely been approved and it feels like playing a ranked match sometimes, they really stepped up the difficulty level in this game by a lot.... There is battle damage and elemental effects now, like getting burned from a fireball jutsu and doing small damage to you from the flames after. Get so much battle damage that your character is practically naked, its a nice detail to the gameplay. The rest of the features are you already know anyways.

    Online : Sometimes filled with spammers, sometimes with legit players.... most of the people you fight with will be in rank 6 or 8 as a newbie... I would strongly recommend getting practice and complete control of your characters before you even go online or else you will die very fast. There are these limited timed events now.... which are just special conditions for online ranked matches... I guess you get like more BP in these events or something... idk I haven't really touched online much other than just regular ranked.

    Graphics : Amazing, everything has been improved and all the old justus got graphic updates. All the fireball jutsus look sexy and everything else like all the nice little particle effects for everything. It just looks SO good this time around.

    Adventure Mode? : Could have been better.... you can't even jump or throw shurican.... although the hub world is really damn huge this time around. They even have fast travel. Its just something extra really.    … Expand

    I have to say, this is a fantastic new take on the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. The game looks, feels, and plays perfectly pristine. Beautiful.

    Its fixed now. So this game has solid game play and the story was ok. But is not well optimized and has a lot of glitches. Regardless you will have a fun time with this game.

    Here the reason why...
    Pro- Everything looks great and excellent for me, story mode, battle mode, online mode seems to be nearly perfect.
    Cons- Bit disappointing on adventure mode. Not what I imagine, cannot satisfied me.
    I want running from village to other village, throw shuriken, jump and everything just like old Naruto game series.    … Expand

This is the first time I bought and played ninja storm series but for me i was instantly amazed when i played this game the graphics were so good and there are so many characters to play with in VS mode. The story mode was great because it's just like watching the entire war series of the naruto shippuden thanks to the crappy fillers in the naruto shippuden episode, i appreciate the story mode of this game. I'm still not finish playing the game because i just bought it yesterday but i would really recommend you guys buy and play this game and btw don't believe IGN's Bullsh*t review about this naruto game IGN gave this game a 5.5 rating and i was like WTF. for me this game is 9/10 by far.… Expand

    Also with regards to combat this time around, types are now gone. Which means no more having to choose awakening, drive or ultimate type before a match, you have access to a characters entire repertoire. The disgraceful counter system that was in storm revolution has also been adjusted, now in only knocks away your opponent instead of stunning them. The new leader switching is great fun and adds new dynamics to gameplay and of course the number of new secret techniques and combination secret techniques are just incredible. They are visual spectacles of beauty.

    There's so much more to talk about, but what I've just mentioned is what I feel is most important. Online play is pretty much the same as it's always been, so I won't really go into that, few changes here and there but nothing huge. This is a must buy for all Naruto fans.    … Expand

The story mode does the Naruto franchise justice in more than one way, almost surpassing the anime and manga in terms of story telling and drama.
    It took me around 7 to 8 hours to get through it, but even then I barely scratched the surface of the game. Aside from the story mode, there's a highly addictive free battle mode that's full of over 100 characters. In addition to free battle, you can take part in tournaments, and survival mode is a blast that pushes you to the limit by pitting you against countless enemies as you try to go up in streaks.
    If that's not enough, there's another mode called adventure mode. This is basically an open world rpg in which you try to complete a certain set of missions and quests in the world of Naruto, and even though it's a step backward from the same mode in Storm 3, it still is a lot of fun.
    Not only are you getting a beautiful story, you're also getting a full fledged deep fighter and an open world rpg, In the end this is a game that bleeds content, and in an age where developers are releasing unfinished and empty games for full price, Storm 4 stands out as a change in the positive direction.    … Expand

Some of the action/fight scenes were just done so perfectly, it really puts the anime to shame....     It's a very casual fighter but has enough depth to be entertaining and challenging. It's not intended to be an E-sports candidate.

    There are some frame rate drops during the 1 vs mob fights in the story mode, not game breaking but noticeable.

    It's a 9/10 for me because I think while it doesn't really standout as a fighting game, it sets a new standard for the anime fanservice fighting game subgenre. I didn't take points off for the netcode issues because I play with my friends locally so it's really not an issue for me, and to be honest the few matches I played online weren't bad so I think it varies from people to people.    … Expand

    Entre lo bueno esta el "Gameplay" que mejoró bastante en comparación a sus antecesores, con un ritmo mas acelerado y la posibilidad de cambiar al personaje en medio de la batalla, dando unas combinaciones no antes vistas con tus compañeros de equipo. Los gráficos se beneficiaron con el agregado de mas partículas, notándose un gran detalle en el transcurso del combate. Hay bastante contenido, a pesar de ser un juego de lucha. Las batallas contra jefes resultaron ser mas dinámicas que los anteriores juegos, consiguiendo un toque algo diferente pero que desde mi perspectiva no le sentaba tan bien.

    Sin embargo, unos cuantos aspectos afectaron al juego entre estos esta el apartado sonoro, que resulto ser bastante bajo para mi gusto llegándose escuchar casi nada de la banda sonora a veces, y la poca duración del modo historia, que es entendible por como habían dejado las cosas antes. No obstante, sigue siendo un gran juego de peleas y una magnifica conclusión para la saga de Naruto.

    Story: Story mode finally puts closure to the Naruto journey so prepare for a story mode with Manga spoilers, for me that’s a good enough reason to play the    If you’re new to the Naruto games but not the Anime/Manga then we're in the same position and you're not alone, so with this being supposedly the final Naruto “Storm” game I sure found myself lost once again in the world of Naruto.

    Story: Story mode finally puts closure to the Naruto journey so prepare for a story mode with Manga spoilers, for me that’s a good enough reason to play the story – it moves the plot forward and finishes what the Anime is taking forever to do.

    As for adventure mode I felt this mode had so much potential, basically giving you the chance to learn about and re-enact most of the historic battles from the Naruto series, but it lacked due to the rough pacing. 8/10.

    Gameplay: The gameplay is amazing and that is probably due to this Naruto game being my first, I discovered first hand though that the online battles (esp ranked) was where the veteran players of the series were waiting – bullying new comers and eventually kicking my ass due to their experience from past titles but besides this I found myself enjoying the unique fighting system. 8/10.

    Content: Naruto seems to overwhelm us with content but don’t let it all distract you, the only worthy content I feel was worth the time is costumes, but I also discovered that the majority oi the unlockable content and Ryo (in game currency) quickly become useless, you can basically unlock almost everything after one solid play through of the story.

    Despite the great cast of characters they still managed to miss out a lot of characters which fairly disappointed me, the unlockable stuff should’ve been more costumes and characters but I guess that’s all DLC in this day and age, sadly. Will our games ever be fully released or will we be cursed with pre-order and season pass DLC. 6/10.

    Graphics: Easily the best looking Anime game out today. beautifully executed and well done, i can say much as this looks as good (or even better) then the Anime itself, the graphics will easily impress many. 10/10.

    Fun Factor & Challenge: Naruto is a fun game especially with its great cast of characters and even online battling was fun while it lasted. There wasn’t much challenge with the story or adventure and even the hardest difficulty of Survival and League were somewhat easy especially when you get past the games minor learning curve (for newcomers like myself). 6/10.

    After playing Storm 4, I feel I missed out with the previous titles but at the same time I was glad to finally pick up and play a Naruto game. A great game for newcomers of the series and veterans.

    I had a great time playing this game!This is just what i expected from the naruto storm series.I played all the storm games and to me this is definitely the best out of the series.If you haven't already, you should definitely buy this game if you are a naruto fan like me! I promise you won't be disappointed.

    Most beautiful anime game to date, a definite treat to any naruto fan. Very entertaining story mode besides the still anime pictures. Combat is fun, still too casual but it looks better than ever. Storm fans like me will be disappointed by the lack of new characters/modes.. A boring adventure mode and still anime picture in the story mode hold back this game to true perfection..

The roster is massive with over a hundred characters even though it's not balanced it's still great. There's only one thing that I don't like and that's the online mode and it seems like others are alsoNot perfect but impressive. Naruto Storm 4 truly delivers an amazing story and gameplay. The new naruto game continues where the story left off with great animated fighting scenes, a new and improved fighting system and support switching system, but it does not feel like a new game. The rest of the characters were simply recycled. I was hoping for new team ultimate combos, or more fun game modes to play around in.

    In general, however, one may argue that the storm series is very good as it is and doesn't need much change. The game-play is always fun and the animations are brilliant. Combat is very smooth and responsive. Hopefully additional downloadable content would make this game even better than it already is.    … Expand

    Game has great combat mechanics and switching out characters on fly really helps allowing you to hit some sick combos. Has a great story mode, adventure mode is lacking. Multiplayer on the other hand the servers are broken and ranked matches are unfair with me being rank 1 vs rank 11 players that has a 90% win percentage but the game is fun

I really do hate having to read things for 10 minutes on to then have a fight happened. Anyone whos watched naruto already knows the story. I do enjoy the multiplayer but for 60 bucks this game just isnt worth it. Story mode is only 4-5 hours longIm a major naruto fan boy. This game is fun if you just like play multiplayer. I was going into it expect a good story mode and was let down. I really do hate having to read things for 10 minutes on to then have a fight happened. Anyone whos watched naruto already knows the story. I do enjoy the multiplayer but for 60 bucks this game just isnt worth it.     Great game, plenty to unlock. Repeatedly. Go play the story mode and then start it again when it doesnt save, and then after playing through it completely, watch the game crash without saving and losing all progess. Just keep at that story mode. Auto saving is a thing of the past.

    Since 17 years, i always had a limited interest into Naruto things, so looking at the Storm 4 crictics, I was curious to put myself a bit deeper in the franchise. The result is a total disapointment, I tried but I could't bore myself with the story, so I skipped anything as possible, I started the adventure mode but it it feels so aged gameplay, so i just looked at the red spots on theSince 17 years, i always had a limited interest into Naruto things, so looking at the Storm 4 crictics, I was curious to put myself a bit deeper in the franchise. The result is a total disapointment, I tried but I could't bore myself with the story, so I skipped anything as possible, I started the adventure mode but it it feels so aged gameplay, so i just looked at the red spots on the map and i skipped dialogues as soon as possible, i played vs mode with friend and i realised smashing every buttons at the same time was the ultimate strategy technique, so yes I can confirm now Naruto Storm 4, like any Naruto Manga/Anime/t-shirt/Music/tooth brush/Soda/Pen/Shoes/Burger/hair cut, doesn't worth to go out of your way, it really is as bad as it seems.… Expand

I love how we can choose what Jutsu you use for a decent amount of characters. It would have been better for wall running to be a feature implemented outside of the story mode, but it was still fun. I love the new characters they added, and it's awesome that they have more on the way! The story mode is great, and it's cool that you don't have to walk around. That was boring in Storm 2 and 3.     Having played all Naruto titles on consoles I can say this one is one of the best. I miss some aspects of 3 that were taken out but that aside the game is solid and has some great play.

Don't get me wrong, the extremely over the top transformations and hidden ultimate ninjutsu stuff looks great for a Naruto game. But for a competitive fighting game? I just can't get around it.

    On top of that the Substitution Jutsu used to take up a LOT of chakra. For good reason too, you were only supposed to use it for emergencies when you're about to get laid down with a massive combo. If you used it up too much chakra then you were out of luck. You're supposed to rely on your guard and evasion to stay out of devastating combos. But the Substitution Jutsu can be spammed like crazy in this game with plenty of chakra to spare. You just see logs of wood all over the place now.

    As a Naruto game, it's fun and addictive (the animation is beautiful). But as a fighting game? It has some design flaws. If they want to have crazy ninjutsu battles why not just make an RPG? Keeping the nature of a fighting game doesn't seem to be the main focus so, why not.

    Oh and lastly... aren't we sick of quick time events? Why not just let us enjoy the beautiful animation on top of the awesome fighting scene rather than have us scouting out where that next prompt will be. It certainly doesn't help when they make the quick time prompts hard to see. I can't tell if some of these prompts are for quick time events or just part of the animation.    … Expand

    So the thing I like most about the Ninja Storm games is that I can experience the story, rather than reading the comics and watching the episodes. I don't have the time to be doing all that, so this was great. Although I would say I maybe missed some cool stuff by doing so, I like skipping the fillers and all the talking. I rate the story of this game as okay-to-occasionally-great. I was happy to see how a series that I was emotionally invested in as a high schooler ended, and it was nice. Occasionally some of the sappier moments made me roll my eyes, since I'm 25 years old now, but the story really has its moments! Also, something I found funny which is probably in most anime shows, everyone that always seems defeated always seems to have more power left over. It's all very funny. Also, the scale of some of the battles is cool. The narrative isn't top notch by any means, but if you already care about the Naruto series, that will make it better.

    Combat is fun-ish. Some of the more frustrating elements of the story mode is that you can't adjust the difficulty, so you are kinda wrecking everyone until maybe the last one or two fights. I beat NS3 on Hard and I occasionally had intense fights in the story mode that took more than just a few tries. I probably died maybe twice at most before succeeding in the hardest of fights here. One of the things I will say are AWESOME though are the quicktime events, special moves, grabs and the ninjutsu endings of some combos. They end in stunning visuals, and this is definitely the best part of the game. After I beat the story I pretty much just went to training and tried out most characters special moves.

    Adventure mode, probably the most disappointing aspect. I really felt no urge to continue to this mode because of all the menu filler and running around and stuff. Maybe I'm just impatient, but if you're going to have a story mode and multiplayer, and you want to fill in a third mode, maybe make the third mode flow faster? This is a fighting game, ain't nobody got time to be running around skipping everyone's dialogue with post-main-story-ending filler. I will probably come back to this mode and see if I was wrong about it, but yeah, I didn't really feel compelled to complete tasks in the post-conflict world of Naruto after the stakes seemed so high in Story mode.

    Menus + loading: probably small gripes, but the menus and loading screens are slightly longer than I would like. No one interaction with the User Interface and waiting for the screen to load takes up much time, but after a while with the game I started wondering how much of my time was spent not playing or watching cool cutscenes PLUS how much time was spent running around and in the menus in Adventure mode. Was it 5%? 10%? 15%? Idk, but it was enough to make me think about it.

    Conclusion: You're coming here for the cutscenes, and to finish the story. That's the best part of the game. I don't have an opinion on multiplayer because I don't play online, and my friends don't really play video games, so if you like the combat this game got better for you than me! I enjoyed the combat sometimes, but was really pissed I couldn't change the difficulty during story mode. I gotta come back to Adventure mode. But yeah, if you have already played the really great games your respective console has to offer and need something to play while something you are waiting for comes out AND you are already a Naruto fan AND you don't mind paying the $45-50 this sorta new game still costs, I'd recommend it. If you are short on cash and/or are deciding on this game and some other AND ESPECIALLY IF YOU ALREADY FINISHED THE SERIES/STORY, I'd take a look at something else. Again, my favorite parts were the scenes and visuals, but if I already knew what awesome jutsus our heroes and villains used in the last arc of the series I don't know if I would enjoy the game the way that I did, as a vector to finishing the series.

But it had a close enough style to dragon ball z and that was good enough for me. But even with dbz i was mostly a casual fan (havent seen them all, but liked the games and fighting) and this game looked wild with the finishers and combos. After about 5 minutes in the practice mode i could tell i was gonna like this a lot more than dragon ball xenoverse. The visuals were mind blowing and the combos were imaginative and unique to character. Some combos in this games look just as crazy as certain finishers! And after my first hour or so messing around with characters trying to find my favorites, i knew i had to get into the series and know the back stories to all these amazing fighters. Let me just say, this game may have just made a huge naruto fan out of me. And if you can dig a show like dragon ball z, then this series could be just right for you. Im only on season one episode like 9 or 10 right now but between that and the game im totally hooked. And they have seasons 1-4 (about 50 episodes each!) On netflix. Although i think im going to buy the entire book collection and dvd set just to have them personally. Sorry to ramble on about more than the game, but i just want to let those of you who dont know anything about the series and are on the fence about getting this game, to know that i have this game to thank for getting me into something im truly gonna go all out on.     So as an independent fighting game I would give it a solid 9/10 which is amazing.

    However, naruto storm 4 isn't just a fighting game, its an RPG game of sorts, even though the RPG isn't linked to canon story, and it has a storyline mode similar to other naruto storm games.
    With regards to the storyline, some interesting new visuals have been added to boss battles, giving them more flare and a better overall look. However, I found most boss battles very strangely put together in terms of oscillating difficulty levels between very easy and slightly difficult, and the easiness of some boss battles during the 1v1 segments was a bit disappointing. The button input segments were pretty impressive, and featured great visuals.
    The normal storyline battles which made up most of the game however, did not seem so interesting...
    The normal action packed 1v1 battles were sandwiched between 2d image cutscenes which were quite boring and a general put off from all the action in battles.
    The 3D story cutscenes were very scarce, existing only in more quantity near the later part of the storyline, and in general seemed only slightly better visually than the cutscenes present in naruto storm 3, which was also a bit disappointing.
    The mob battle segments were also very strange. I recall playing through the mob battle between kid obito and kakashi and a hoard of ninja, and found that if i stood still during the battle, the enemies simply would not attack me, which is a very poor conception of AI and makes the battle way too easy. This particular mob battle had no camera lock on or even the ability to switch camera focus, so it was very disorienting.
    The major let down for me in this storyline is the absence of cohesion between certain battles in what concerns difficulty and also presentation, since the story constantly switches between 3D cutscenes and 2d slideshows and combines mob battles that are way too easy with 1v1 battles with ok difficulty.
    I also thought personally, as a big naruto fan, that some parts of the game were actually up to standard with the Perfect Storm people were expecting, but most of time was so subpar. For example, the last boss battle between naruto and sasuke brought tears to my eyes, and was incredible in many ways and about 10x better than any other boss battle in the game. I also to some extent thought that hashirama vs madara was a very impressive battle and got me pumped for more.
    With regards to the adventure mode, at first it seemed like it would combine the best elements from storm 1 and 2's RPG, but then it turned out to be quite unsatisfying.
    The worst thing about adventure mode is its length. I easily cleared the main adventure events in 3hours max , and was left with sidequests such as: walk 30000 steps or break 30 crates... It wasn't very memorable overall.
    This mode tried to include naruto storm 1's 3D appearance of the village, but gave the player no mobility whatsoever (which was the main aspect of storm 1's rpg) other than walking slowly and running. It also cut naruto storm 2's main rpg feature which was the large 2d world exploration and created only checkpoints to certain battle stages or 2d areas already created in previous storm games.
    To me, the fact that only some of the aspects of this game are similar to what we would expect from a next gen naruto storm game are why I give it a 6 in rating.
    The story mode and rpg mode are overall both less engaging and less interesting than those in storm 2 and 3.
    The gameplay is outstanding however, and a couple boss battles were also amazing in comparison to other storm games, but there were not many boss battles, and not enough 3D content to surpass the previous installments in terms of story.

    К минусам можно добавить, что это все еще такой себе файтинг, да и 1 вид комбо (удары+ вперед) убрали, а пробуждение некоторым героем слишком сильно порезали, от чего некоторые смотрятся в пробуждении так себе.
    И хоть я уже лет 7-8 не смотрю аниме наруто, но мне было приятно играть в эту игру за знакомых мне персонажей.

В игре отличная боевая система, самое то чтобы собраться в компании друзей которые хотя бы смотрели Наруто и прекрасно провести вечер за данной игрой.     Esta opinion es de un fan del manga Naruto, vi su manga completo, vi el anime (Menos el relleno), y disfrute del primer juego de naruto para la version de PS2, la cual me encanto.
    Lo que me encanta de estos titulos esque cada juego comprende una parte importante de la historia del manga, se agradece, ya que comprende una buena parte, muy pegado a lo ocurrido al manga, hay cosas que no    Esta opinion es de un fan del manga Naruto, vi su manga completo, vi el anime (Menos el relleno), y disfrute del primer juego de naruto para la version de PS2, la cual me encanto.
    Lo que me encanta de estos titulos esque cada juego comprende una parte importante de la historia del manga, se agradece, ya que comprende una buena parte, muy pegado a lo ocurrido al manga, hay cosas que no pero entiendo que es por motivo de gameplay.
    La jugabilidad es buena, no innova pero es muy fiel a lo presentado en sus versiones anteriores.
    La banda sonora, muy buena, lo pudieron hacer mejor, pero es aceptable.
    Contenido secundario, pues se quedaron cortos, creo que pudieron agregar mas.
    La historia esta dividida en capitulos, y LO QUE MAS DETESTE DE ESTE JUEGO FUERON LAS CINEMATICAS, que decepcion mas enorme, las cinematicas no se pueden llamar ni cinematicas a eso, fueron imagenes con transiciones, asi de grave, ni siquiera se esforzaron en agregar imagenes del anime, tan siquiera, pero no fueron unas imagenes con transicion y subtitulos.
    Mi nota era muchisimo mas baja, pero debo ser lo mas objetivo y creo que si eres un fan de la saga este juego te gustara ya que se apega muchisimo al manga, el gameplay es bueno fiel a sus entregas atras, puedes jugar online y es bueno, batas grupales.
    Lo malo, como dije las cinematicas, el contenido secundario y DLC.
    Vale la pena jugarlo, si eres fan, sino eres fan no, encontraras mejores titulos.

Alot of the characters have the same moveset since storm 2 (Sai, Neji, Lee, Killer b, the list goes on). Instead of adding characters we all want they added **** characters like Iruka Konohamaru and Rin. if theY added Kinkaku aNd Ginkaku instead of these characters i mentionnedI'm a big fan of Naruto so i bought this game without hesitatioN.     You're never gonna have a deep game with this many characters, they are all going to homogenized and the whole combat system will be more akin to Dynasty Warriors than a fighter. It didn't work with Saint Seiya (at least that game so much of a mess that it was fun), didn't work with Dragon Ball Budokai and it doesn't work here. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the game for people too pea-brained to play a proper fighting game, but hey, they like Naruto, so you can't expect too much!    … Expand

    Las escenas AI son estupendas y dan verdadera profundidad a las peleas, vaya que da gusto jugar los QTE de este juego. Cosa que por supuesto no pasa con todos los títulos.

    La parte negativa es que el impacto de los ataques (incluso los combos normales) provocan un daño bastante alto, por lo que las peleas se sienten más bien cortas, muy raramente nos preocuparemos del tiempo puesto que los combates terminan mucho antes que el cronometro. Lo anterior es más notorio cuando la pelea está entre dos cinemáticas relativamente largas.
    Y es que la mayor parte del tiempo, el juego realmente ABUSA de las cinemáticas. Nos pretende contar 100 capítulos de anime entre una pelea y otra, y eso puede resultar muy aburrido. Hay por ahí algunos capítulos de 20 minutos de duración donde la pelea solo dura 30 segundos.

    El sistema de cambio de personaje puede resultar funcional en determinados momentos y le da un agregado respecto de otros Storm. Aunque es justo decir que no es una evolución al sistema de personajes de apoyo, sino un sustituto.

    Como es costumbre en los Storm, la plantilla de personajes es gigantesca. Y eso, aunado a los distintos trajes de cada uno, dan una experiencia completa. Sí quiero agregar la ausencia de algunos personajes que aparecían en entregas anteriores y que me hubiera gustado ver en esta, pero no se puede todo y, como dije, el número de personajes jugables es más que bueno.

    Lo peor de todo son los combates en que estamos forzados al modo despertar. Su jugabilidad es PÉSIMA, y ni hablar de la horripilante fluidez. Es claro que los desarrolladores quisieron darle un toque de emoción agregado esas peleas, pero salen sobrando. Tal vez si se hubieran optimizado mejor sí resultaría, pero no fue así.

    También hay ocasiones en que DURANTE un combate, hay que esperar a que los personajes dejen de hablar para poder hacer daño a la barra de vida.
    Si han leído otros de mis análisis sabrán que soy completamente pro-narrativa, pero a la mitad de un combate de 90 segundos... (?) no es muy práctico que digamos.

    Mantenemos los modos desafío, liga, supervivencia, etc. Y eso es genial puesto que brinda MUCHO contenido offline.

    GRÁFICOS:
    El apartado visual es muy fiel al anime e intercalar imágenes del mismo durante algunos de los combates ha sido un acierto estupendo, y de la misma forma, haber usado propias imágenes del anime en la narrativa, ha quedado perfecto. La verdad es que cualquier fan y no fan puede disfrutar del estilo de arte.

    Han añadido que los atuendos de los personajes se deterioren al sufrir daño en los combates, y eso le da un buen aspecto a las batallas. No es nada espectacular pero es un buen detalle.

    Los QTE son bastante vistosos y algunas técnicas hacen un gran trabajo de animación.

    SONIDO:
    No esperaba nada del sonido, pero me ha sorprendido para bien. Buenas piezas y efectos. Incluso el doblaje es bueno, se han usado algunos de los actores de voz originales del anime.

    Además, el que ciertos diálogos (que son bastante malos, pero eso existe desde el manga y por tanto es punto y aparte) salgan por la bocina del DualShock le da un efecto envolvente a las conversaciones. De nueva cuenta, nada sorprendente, pero es un buen añadido. Durante los combates algunos diálogos son demasiado repetitivos, y claro que a la larga es molesto (sobre todo cuando jugamos muchas batallas con un solo personaje como en el modo supervivencia).

    INNOVACIÓN:
    Storm 4 se mantiene en su formula ganadora. Agrega pocas cosas respecto a entregas anteriores e incluso sustituye algunos buenos aspectos de los predecesores como lo era el sistema de apoyo.
    Es una gran conclusión para a saga que no intenta innovar sino mantenerse fiel.

    having played almost all the storm games i have to say its good to see a small yet steady improvement and its my believe that storm 4 is the best so far. the challenge to get an S rating in all story episodes is challenging at times in a rather easy to beat game. but storm games are always meant to be fun not challenging and it does that well

    It's a nice game in the overall, but, knowing we already had incredibly good games like "Naruto Ultimate Ninja 5" this game doesn't seems to be more than a generic fight game with anime characters, also, the cutscenes are just static screenshots, kinda ridiculous.

The reason for me why its not a 10 is the story mode. I played the Rise of a NInja and Broken Bond on the 360 and those games did a far better story mode job. Especially withThis game is definitely the peak of the storm series. The removal of instant awakening for character switching is inherently a fair trade, it also eliminated support only characters which was definitely a loss. Graphics for this game is phenomenal as always. Overall if you enjoy naruto this is probably the best game you could buy and even if you've never seen the show you can enjoy the story and fun combat (After all I got into anime as a whole from storm 2). Great game with some bad flaws for the storm series as a whole but an unbiased look would give it about an 8… Expand

Whereas Storm 3 had impeccable cutscenes, both pre-rendered and in-engine, this one fails to live up to the standards of quality that 3 brought forward. Not only that, but the actual source material story at this point is more boring than the one found on Storm 2 and 3, so instead of making up for that with groundbreaking boss fights and cutscenes, they instead decided to follow the same path as Kishimoto by half-assing almost everything. Every ultimate jutsu is the same "build up a super giant attack that explodes in a bunch of different textures", there's nothing unique, fun or interesting anymore, and most of the boss fights were converted into these stupid "dodge the red line attack until you can counter" set-pieces.

    A big avoid if you're playing it as a fan of the manga. Only buy this if it's super cheap and if you want to try out all the different characters and play against friends.    … Expand

    For being an adaption of the anime in to a game, is done absolutely well, the combat system is changed from the third chapter, but it's good.
    The only problem is the Adventure Mode, it's boring and annoying.

The frame-rate remains steady this time around, even with six interchangeable fighters using insane special moves and attacks on-screen at one time, so there is no slowdown during player combat, unlike the previous titles in this series. In addition, there are several survival, challenge and tournament modes, all of which are fun and rewarding. The addition of an after-story RPG mode adds to the overall length of the game, though it is nowhere as impressive as the main campaign mode.     UNS4 will delight the fans of the series (i.e. with tons of playable characters that come with unique techniques) and leave everyone else wandering what the hell is going on. However everyone will admit that the scope of some fights is astonishing. [04/2016, p.51]
