Each level of Mousecraft tasks you with placing and/or destroying Tetris shaped bricks to guide three mice from their cage to the cheese at the end. The developers have described Mousecraft as Tetris meets Lemmings and to be fair that is pretty accurate.

As with most puzzle games extra elements such as additional objects to use and obstacles to avoid are added as the game progresses

As with most puzzle games extra elements such as additional objects to use and obstacles to avoid are added as the game progresses but, while these do help add little variety, the gameplay was just never quite entertaining enough to inspire me to want to play through all of the 100 or so levels (I personally gave up after about 25). If you picked this up free with PS+ then I'd say its just about worth checking out for yourself but if you have money to spend there are plenty of better games in the genre.

Simple puzzle game, with poor graphics. The game is fun at first, but the longer you play it the more you will start to hate it, the game is really not that well done.

Well presented, technically solid and fun. Runs out of challenge and interesting concepts roughly halfway through, however. [September 2014, p73]

If you’re a fan of puzzle games, don’t miss Crunching Koalas’ brilliant remix. MouseCraft drops you into a series of challenges that will initially make you feel like a mouse trapped in a maze. But after working your way through these environments, you’ll feel like a mad scientist who can’t be stopped.

A lemmings-like puzzle with an interesting editor. But after so many years we keep playing this formula, we deserve something more than a nice looking graphics trying to renew an old idea.
