This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even for a MK fan since MK3, it sure may seems a lot to pay $40(AU $60) for me to pay for expansion pack. But after I finished the game I have to say MK11: Aftermath is a better story version of MK11. The story consists of 5 chapter that full of amazing story, character details and battle! They used some scenes from the previous MK11, which make its look recycle scene but the familiarity also adds another exciting elements to it! After all, they are going back through time to fix it.

What’s best about MK11:Aftermath is how they include all the original characters that is very important without much involvement of the new characters (Cassie, Jacqui, Erron Black, etc.)! It brings the nostalgia back and it reminds us why Shao Kahn, Sindel, and Shang Tsung are the best original villain of MK series!

    Hands down to MK11: Aftermath!

One only flaw is just that how Netherrealm studio makes us fan to pay big extra amount just for it! Though, again it’s worth it!

Great game is a great game - with is a blockbuster movie. Netherrealm studios didn't just give us a dlc, but a full experience and the result shows it. MK11 was a good game, with the inclusion of Aftermath it is still a good game. However for me personally, the games story is only there for fan service, nothing more. If that works for you, then great! It just didn't for me. However, if you would call yourself a hardcore Mortal Kombat fan then you probably already own this game, if you don't then you should! The gameplay isn't the best experience NetherRealm Studios have done (That would be MKX) but it is still quite fun and will keep you entertained. A final point would be that the accusations of abhorrent microtransactions are blatant lies! At no point does the game require additional purchases to acquire content, all of it can be earned in game. The microtransactions are there if you want to earn specific COSMETIC items faster than unlocking them yourself, which with the addition of Aftermath has been made quite easy. The game IS a grind if that's what you enjoy but the grind never feels overwhelming and in some ways isn't even really a grind. Overall, I enjoyed this game but I do hope the next entry improves where this game is lacking. Expand

great dlc, i loved, the story is solid, but ruined by the stupid logic of some characters. If you're thinking about buying it, just wait till they sell everything separately.

This Special Edition of the MK11 comes with 3 new Fighters (including an 80s Action Movie Hero), New Stages, the ability to do Friendships to end matches, and additional chapters for the story mode, which is a first for MK. This is a great fighting game. Don't listen to the people that say microstransactions are almost obligatory or that you have to pay to win. This is a difficult game if you go online but only your skill will get you winning.

    Cons:
Paying for every new DLC is awful. Netherrealm Studios, we are on a pandemic. Como on!
A bad ping can literally make you lose a fight online.
Towers of time will make you frustrated.

Overall it's a great game. A must play if you like fighting games.

It have good story even though they often break their laws of time travel, also really amazing gameplay, even thought its slower than MKX and the inclusion of crushing blows gives the gameplay a whole new feeling. Amazing DLC and guest characters also makes the game feel refreshed Expand

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection is a great re-release, including an interesting additional story that expands the game world and adds three cool characters, as well as a full “battle set” with six new fighters. All of them have their own unique features and are aimed at different audiences. The new chapters of the story are well-directed and represent a fascinating mini-series with breaks for gameplay. In addition, the new arenas, as well as the introduction of Stage Fatality and Friendship, will please old fans of the series.

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath is a modern take on the "Game of the Year" collections that are common in the fighting genre. It has excellent new additions to the character roster and an even more twisted story. Adding that to the already existing content makes this package one of the most complete fighting games.

For accessible, deep, fun, and nostalgic-rich fighting, you’d be hard-pressed to do any better than MK11: Aftermath.
