It's all about rolling dices. There is no tactical gameplay involved, no strategy whatsoever, just a bunch of randomness and poorly balanced factions. Overall probably one of the worst Warhammer games out there if not the very, very worst.

I love RPGs and tabletop games, but this is such a sad attempt at bringing that experience to the digital world. On Xbox One X, arguably the most powerful console out there at the time of this review, load times are extreme, frame rates low, and character responsiveness is shoddy. Perhaps the most offensive part is the user interface. Mordheim is a frustrating experiene I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Expand

If you’re desperate for some Warhammer strategy then this may do you, otherwise you’d be best to look elsewhere.

I found myself wishing that something would appear to redeem Mordheim: City of the Damned, but as it began to feel like every action in the game was taking a few agonizing seconds too long, I realised that I’d lost hope in much the same way as the residents of the eponymous city. Mordheim isn’t a dangerous place, it’s just a bit dull.

Like its PC brother the console version of City of the Damned delivers challenging turn-based strategy. And like its PC brother it lacks technical finesse and precision. But that rarely impacts the fun.
