    Graphics are trash, yes I judge games by its graphics, if you can't make good graphics in 2018, please release games on switch. Look at Horizon Zero dawn, how come capcom not feeling shame. I am the individuals who are not able to continue a game if the graphics hurt my eyes.     What a masterpiece. What a great game. The best MH ever by far. It's an amazing open world experience full of action and rpg elements to keep you going for hundreds of hours.
    The story is crap, but that is usual on any MH game (except maybe MH4U). This game is not about a good story or character developments. This game is all about action and gameplay.

    There is a ton of content to explore and they keep adding more every month for free. The graphics are outstanding. The gameplay is probably the best ever on a video game.

    First of all, it's my first time playing a Monster Hunter game, and I'm very hyped even though I have played only 20 hours. This game is one of the best RPGS in this generation of consoles and it has an amazing open world with amazing graphics.     good sign that we will be getting returning monsters, there are a lot of classic monsters that I would love to hunt in Monster Hunter World.

    only reason this doesnt have higher user score is because some people dont like the grind and it makes you wonder why infact they bought a monster hunter game to begin with.

    I really enjoyed this game and iceborne. Plain and simple but i got things i hate.

    I played this game for about 400 hours including iceborne, i done every quest/ played with firends and it was fun but once you do everything the game becomes boring, this may of been my fault for doing it all so quickly. The story sorta exist, it is kinda boring most of the time but i do like the game    I really enjoyed this game and iceborne. Plain and simple but i got things i hate.

But again after you verse them 10+ times they become really boring and easy so it loses its sense of challenge. I include iceborne in this review but i beat all of iceborne without failing a single quest becuase the game is to easy at that stage. Maybe for others its a challenge but this was just me.

    This is a shorter review but overall this game is worht playing including iceborne, its fun, combat feels good and it has depth. This game is what the genre should be unlike certain rip off games lie God Eater 3.    … Expand

    The game is great fun with friends but it drags out too long and was barley able to hold my attention until the end. Still the core game play was pretty fun and the graphics, music, and character design were the highlights. I'm still glad i played it though.

    Most of the weapons are so slow, that they're unusable. When hunting monsters they run away many times throughout the encounter. The movement speed is Crazy slow. The attack animations are way too slow. I have to re-sharpen my blade multiple times throughout an encounter. I get stunned by an attack, only to be stunned again before the first one's time runs out.    I deeply dislike this game.

    Wonderful bosses, worlds and character customization. The music is jamming and the animations and fun. Combat is also satisfying. Put in over a hundred hours into this. Ultimately, the G-rank and the need to consistently grind the same monsters is what put me off continuing this otherwise fantastic game.

    The base game is one of the worst monster hunter games but iceborne is really good. The main problem of this game right now is the lack of variety in the meta (optimal equipment), everyone uses the same things. Other than that it's one of the best games in the series (thanks to iceborne) and a great game overall.     On PS4 absolutely love this game. From some strange reason it is so wonderfully satisfying to jump in and bash up large dinosaur type monsters. You get to craft all your gear with what you kill/capture. Just wonderful! The learning curve is rather steep but definitely worth taking the time to master. Graphics are gorgeous and the replayability is endless. A definite must buy!

    What a game. never played MH before this game. not a story game but great fun with friends and as single player. seems to be endless things to do. also Capcom adding new features and festivals. will look at buying the DLC

    After few missions I got sick with it. It is all-the-time the same thing: get info about new monster type, make preparations, spend time on looking for that monster, long killing process, win or try again. And again, again, again the same. Plus you need to kill one monster many times to get pieces for your armor. There is some kind of plot here, but it is only for showing: killing allAfter few missions I got sick with it.     My non-gamer girlfriend loves it so it's gotta be good.
    My first MH game I'm finding the controls clunky and unresponsive, I know this is 'how they're supposed to be' but it just feels like a PS era game.

    I'm well over 15 hours of this game and I'm trying very hard to like this game. I'm trying to understand on how this game received such a high rating. The game looks amazing and the environment is pretty cool but that's all i can say about this game. A few things I have an issue with this game.
    Combat mechanics is a bit weird. Even if you "lock" on to your monster, your character is    I'm well over 15 hours of this game and I'm trying very hard to like this game. I'm trying to understand on how this game received such a high rating. The game looks amazing and the environment is pretty cool but that's all i can say about this game. A few things I have an issue with this game.
    Combat mechanics is a bit weird. Even if you "lock" on to your monster, your character is not really locked into your target which i feel is a waste. You still have to make sure your character is facing the monster before you actually hit the attack button.
    Story line of this game is not very engaging. I find it a bit boring and the voice acting is dull. You keep doing the same thing over and over again which is to hunt monster and kill.
    No pause in this game, even if you're playing by yourself.
    This game is not for everyone. I should have listened to the user reviews instead of the critic reviews before buying this game.    … Expand

    As a fan of the serie since the first PSP game, this is basically a dream that came true.
    Played the betas and started the game, i can say that this is the best Monster Hunter ever made, and probably the best game ever to share with friends.

    With the change from handheld console to console, the game screen has achieved great evolution. There were new and interesting interation mechanisms included in the maps and monsters as well. As the game proceeded, we finally know that the game is still Monster Hunter. The fights with monsters who were much stronger than human beings are always full of excitement, always. With the approval of console, there were much more details in both the models and actions of the monsters. The remake of the monsters existed in former MH was satisfying as well. However, there were also problems created by this evolution. Besides the bugs and weird movements of the monsters, the turf war was upsetting after saw them over and over again. Also, the landform full of steps and slopes made it extremely difficult to enjoy the combat in later game period. Besides, the music was too mediocre to be remembered. Anyway, I still agree that MHW is a necessary evolution for MH series. With this platform, the future of MH is worth expected.… Expand

    This is an amazing game, capcom brought MH to an impressive level.
    The monsters are well built and make the battles as frantic as fun, the weapons are spectacular: each with its special characteristics. But the best part is crafting: deep and vast. It would take at least 100 pages to describe all the goodies of this game but the result is always the same: A pearl of this generation

    Tried this game when it came out and boy did i not expect to become a fan of these series. I had judged this game unworthy of my attention but only thing i can say is i regret not playing those games on the earlier consoles when they came out. I like playing solo but its best to play with friends. The MH community is so amazing, so many helpful and nice people.

    After playing MHW i bought MHGU on the Switch and MH4 on the 3DS.
    All amazing games that ive spent so much time playing and its always a pickle to decide which game to play.
    Iceborne is probably the coolest and most fun expansion ive ever played, its so humongus and added tons of new monsters and stuff to do.
    All the flippin careful details in this game, the content, the in-depth gameplay and locations are so good.
    Iceborne definetly feels like a new MH game and to me its the game of the year.    … Expand

I kept hearing that the game is enjoyable, fun, EPIC and lengthy. i saw the game on sale so i decided to give it a go and i am soooooo glad i did. The visuals, the color and and the game-play are just amazing. Hunting down these monsters and the thrillLet me just start off by saying that this game did not appeal to me at first.     Honestly, if the Low and High Rank portions wasn’t as polished and an incredible experience to go through. This score would be 7/8 margin just because compared to previous games, the rotating event quests, RNG investigations for RNG loot, reduced weapon and quest pool, and less challenging solo player end game. But, with the incredibly constructed world, incredible combat experience, and cohesive experience, the downpoints are more just demands for more content.

    I won't rehash the problems I had with World simply because they make me profoundly sad. I wanted to like the game, I hoped the new direction would bring the series to a new level, but instead, the whole thing blew up in my face like a Marshmallow Peep left in the microwave too long.

    Moving to real consoles has paid off for Monster Hunter. The fifth installment is bigger, nicer and funnier (a bit). In addition, a number of free addons will extend the entertainment for another dozens of hours. [Issue#283]
