    Metro: Last Light (Redux) is the sequel to Metro: 2033 (Redux), It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. I decided to pick up this game a few years ago whenMetro: Last Light (Redux) is the sequel to Metro: 2033 (Redux), It is the year 2034. I decided to pick up this game a few years ago when it was on sale Alongside Metro: Last Light (Redux) but I never really got around to playing them, This weekend I dedicated my time to play through all 3 titles in the series in order, 2033, Last Light and Exodus, here are my thoughts and opinions about Metro: Last Light.

    When I started the game during the first few hours I experienced a lot of crashes, But that may just be me but I'm just warning you before you buy the game that it might have frequent crashes.

    This game is just awful, worse than the original, i dont know what they were thinking, this is a 20 dollar game that should of been free DLC for the original but they are so money hungry at deep silver they made a reskin of the original changed the name, threw in another bad and uninspired story along with some of the worst level design and character progression i have seen in my time of playing games, somehow made the graphics and details WORSE and along with that missing the target on the sound and music and even settings are worse in this game than the orignal, a completely uninspired dumbsterfire of the game by a money hungry company, they completely tried to make this game something it isnt, this game has some of the worst gunplay (WORSE THAN THE LAST GAME SOMEHOW) and some of the worst controls i have ever played with, this isnt an FPS, this is **** the graphics are **** the lighting engine is **** this game is terrible i complete waste of my money, my time and energy, the level designs are so bad it will either make you fall asleep or puke (same with the story actually) this is one of the worst games i have everplayed, i strongly do not reccomend this game, if you really want a metro game buy 2033 its better then this **** and if you really want a good game, Get stalker, save your braincells.

    I really don't know what else to say besides this game is horrible, not worth it at all.

    Conclusion.

    Story - 1/10 (Terrible uninspired story, the only thing interesting is your character but even then he's boring and has no personality)
    Controls - 2/10 (Terrible controls somehow worse than 2033, Playing on mouse and keyboard feels tight and like a controller)
    Gun-play - 3/10 (FEELS LIKE IM USING ARROW KEYS TO MOVE MY HEAD, TERRIBLE GUNPLAY AND GUNS IN GENERAL)
    Weapons - 1/10 (NOTHING INTERESTING AT ALL TERRIBLE)
    Enemies - 3/10 (TERRIBLE WHAT THE ****)
    Graphics - 4/10 (Terrible again SOMEHOW WORSE than 2033!)
    Details - 3/10 (Almost none but you can't even tell with how bad the graphics are again, this game is devolving from the original 2033)
    Sound - 4/10 (Somehow they made the sound worse than the last, everything sounds so fake and loud or too quiet)
    Music - 5/10 (Only thing that carries this game but even then it's worse than the last game)
    Characters - 1/10 (Uninspired Developing of characters and they are all just boring like I don't care about any of them)
    Achievements - 4/10 (Nothing great)
    Areas/Levels - 1/10 (Looks trash, everything is the same, either boring or terrible)
    Enjoyment - 2/10 (Boring and Uninspired)
    Environment - 2/10 (EVERYTHING LOOKS THE DAMN SAME ITS SO DARK)
    Game Settings - 1/10 (Barely any sliders for anything)

    Overall Rating - 2.4/10 - STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED

    Pretty **** not gory, narration and story were kinda good but the game play is very sloppy especially the gunfights and there are a few game breaking glitches forcing you to restart whole levels and there is sometimes no patches available even more than a year after the release.     I've been playing these games on and off for a few months now. Never played either one for long because I quickly lost interest. After getting irritated by the game play at one point, I stopped playing the first one after about 1/4 of it. Started playing the second one. It was slightly better. Less of the annoying, repetitive, monster fights, but it too got to the point where I stopped playing after, yet again, getting irritated by it, for the n-th time, about half way through,. That was the straw. I deleted the games of my HDD. I'm so much happier now. These games might have had acceptable mechanics/story/acting when they were first released long ago, but this re-make, even with new visuals, gets boring, and frustrating rather quickly. Games are supposed to be fun, this game isn't. I have absolutely no friggen idea why this game has such high score. I honestly don't buy these high-score reviews. Fake news! Fake news!     These games consist pretty much entirely of walking down a straight hallway with bad graphics, guns that sound like toys, bullet-sponge enemies that don't react to getting hit, and a story that was probably pretty cool in the books but isn't even remotely fleshed out in the game.     This game has passed its prime a long time ago, its dull and I found that I couldn't engage with it at all. The gameplay is very limited, as are the graphics. I was excited to play this as I loved the book, which was so engaging, but sadly I was very disappointed. I found the narration very poor, and the advancement of storyline boring.

    So...Russia made their Half Life attempt...Buying games that everyone says that it's masterpiece doesn't mean you're gonna like it! At least I payed cheap, but omg, the gun play in this is SO bad...I expected a shooting game with a great story, gameplay and graphics and left so disappointed, the story of the 2 games is ok, the first game "2033" lacks good and charismathic characters, youSo...Russia made their Half Life attempt...Buying games that everyone says that it's masterpiece doesn't mean you're gonna like it! At least I payed cheap, but omg, the gun play in this is SO bad...I expected a shooting game with a great story, gameplay and graphics and left so disappointed, the story of the 2 games is ok, the first game "2033" lacks good and charismathic characters, you jump from one partner from another and you don't even feel anything, they're flat as hell for the sake of the plot, the second game "last light" it's much better with this, I liked the antagonist, but it wasn't nearly enought to call this masterpiece, because the story in both of them are just ok and the fact that the main character is speakless ( he talks only in the charging menus, but is not enough for me to care about him )...And the gameplay in the 2 games is just a disgrace, everything is bullet sponge, everything feels awful, trowing granades and knifes feels like trowing paper, the guns are boring to use, almost like you're using toys, the melee is dumb...just no fun at all...if you're short on money, buy Far cry 4 instead, because that at least feels like a video game, not a 10 hour movie with **** gameplay and a mediocre story...the graphics and some story parts ( and there is no many of them lol ) are the only good in this, don't waste your time!… Expand

    Good atmosphere. Horrendous scripted game-play. One of the worst AI I ever seen in a video game. Stealth is unbalanced and broken. Enemy animations are horrible. Artificial difficult.

Hugely impressed with this game as it wasn't something I personally would have tried but my daughter bought a ps5 and downloaded and basically said "play it" I liked the originality of this and the world building was awesome as I've not played many games where the background people continue their lives and chats in such a detailed way. I found this made the game way more fun to hear random conversations.
    A couple of weird quirks was the children who sounded like old adults. Kind of freaky and the map......oh god the map was soon annoying. To not be able to zoom in to see clearly where the compass was aimed at times or a general direction to say how many metres away the objective was, yes I know, I've played too many Assassins Creed games but for some reason all i seemed to do was get turned around in the wrong direction. All in all I'm in awe and miss the whole series now I'm finished. I wish they'd done more of these as now what will I play!?!    … Expand
