Sep 17, 2014Metro Redux is superior to all other remakes. Both games in the collection are set in a terrifying yet creative world and offer an impressive experience. On top of that, 4A Games had added so much content you’d almost forget you’re ‘merely’ dealing with a remake. This collection will satisfy both fans and newcomers.

Oct 1, 2014Released at a budget price, there’s really no excuse for not giving Metro: Redux a whirl.
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKSep 29, 2014Unique, dripping in detail, and well worth rediscovering. [Oct 2014, p.83]
-
Sep 17, 2014They are essentially the same games we know and love from the previous gen, but this time they are even more beautiful. If you're looking for an immersive FPS, this package is a safe bet.
-
Sep 17, 2014Metro Redux is more than just a polished version of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. The terrifying and sinister games have improved on every level, which makes Redux the best way to play both titles.
-
Sep 11, 2014Metro: Redux is one of the most atmospheric games I have played and it left me completely immersed in its world.
-
Sep 4, 2014Exploring a vast and devastated Russia down in the metro as well as on the surface is entertaining from the beginning to the very end. Improved graphics and other smart features such as the ability to choose how you want to tackle each play through makes this adventure well worth a revisit. Even though the human enemies more than often act dumb, there is no reason to miss out on these two unique horror/action shooters.
-
Aug 27, 2014A solid story, an interesting cast of characters, and two games that make you panic in a good way. It’s worth the price of entry.
-
Aug 27, 2014One of the best gaming purchases you will make all year.
-
Aug 24, 2014Metro Redux combines two of the most uniquely harrowing first-person shooters onto one disc, and applies a whole mess of graphical and gameplay improvements that hit far more than they miss.
-
Aug 20, 2014The journey through the Metro is more than worth the price of admission, plus the visuals are great at showcasing the new hardware. I am really looking forward to what 4A Games has in store next.
-
Aug 19, 2014Metro: Redux is a compilation only recommendable to those who haven't had the whole experience. There are obvious visual improvements, but it doesn't make it worth buying if you already have the games. On the other hand, if you haven't entered Moscow's Metro yet, this is the perfect chance, with the choice to play your way.
-
Aug 19, 2014Getting both [games] in a single, enhanced package is a great way to discover (or rediscover) the Moscow Metro's unconventional charms.
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaSep 19, 2014A solid collection well worth it for newcomers and veterans alike. [November 2014, p70]
-
Sep 2, 2014Two great and atmospheric games for a more-than-reasonable price? Not a bad deal. Not bad at all.
-
Aug 27, 2014Metro: Redux offers you two beautiful shooters: Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. The games have a good vibe, a nice atmosphere, it's totally something else than the next Call of Duty or Battlefield. Actually the story of the main character Artyom is way more interesting.
-
Aug 26, 2014Metro Redux may not offer much to entice players who have already played and enjoyed these games, but this remastered bundle is the best way for newcomers to experience the thrills and scares of this under-appreciated series.
-
Sep 15, 2014For console owners, Metro Redux is a chance to experience a top-quality, story-heavy, immersive shooter with the kind of visuals that high-end PC users have had the privilege of playing. It’s also great value for money when you consider the two full-story campaigns and additional DLC content included within.
-
Sep 7, 2014Dark, gritty, scary, exciting and beautiful.
-
Sep 4, 2014The first five minutes of both games proceed to slay every single one of AAA's worst tendencies one after the other, until only a few stragglers remain, and they don't break the games' affecting, fatalist spell.
-
Aug 29, 2014Metro Redux gives a real meaning to the word "remastered" and if you didn't buy Metro 2033 or Metro Last Light, you should throw yourself on it. At the opposite from some studios who just upscale their games, 4A Games remade 2033 from the bottom with the engine used in Last Light. With the DLC's, new game modes and a 40€ pricetag, you already should be convinced.
-
Aug 27, 2014Although both games are thematically grim at times, we thoroughly recommend Metro Redux to both series newcomers and fans of the original titles.
-
Aug 25, 2014As both 2033 and Last Light are single-player campaigns, one of the best aspects of the game is the amount replay value you can get out it, if you are willing to put the time in.
-
Aug 25, 2014All in all, whether you’re new to the franchise or not, the abandoned underground has never looked this inviting.
-
Aug 25, 2014Even if you played the original releases, Metro Redux is still an attractive proposition. The improvements to 2033 are substantial, while the more minor tweaks to Last Light simply refine a fantastic experience.
-
Aug 21, 2014Recent remastered games seemed a bit lazy. 4A Games doesn't mess around with this excellent compilation of their two FPS that keep their own identity and look - especially Metro 2033 - quite great visually. Even with a few flaws that were already known, they are definitely worth playing.
-
Aug 19, 2014This compilation is about a place. It's a place where you can hear the laughter of children long since dead, and the screams of aircraft passengers moments before their incineration. It's a place where you must fear both the hideous mutants that prowl as well as humankind--and yet it's only with humankind that you might find safety.
