    This game has it all for me. So many well spent hours of playing. Every fan of the first two installments will find this one to be truly EPIC!

Те, кто укоряет игру за слабый сюжет, кажется, нихрена не поняли замысел разработчиков, потому что поезд с красноречивым именем "Аврора" на полном ходу мчится по СОВРЕМЕННОЙ РОССИИ. Главные герои бегут из Москвы с её идеологией аля кругом враги, они верят, тем не менее, что адекватных людей за пределами Москвы больше, но встречают на своем пути лишь попов, стопящих развитие технологий, необразованных дикарей и толпищу ненасытных людоедов заместо правительства, непонятно как на место этого правительства попавших, но невероятным образом им удается удерживать власть двадцать лет и ОБМАНЫВАТЬ всех вокруг)) Особенно, доставила сцена, где предводитель каннибалов сразу начинает что-то затирать героям, но ему без промедления режут горло, только б сказки его не слушать. И не просто так игра напрямую говорит игроку, что Каспий в сотню раз хуже Ямантау, потому что нет ничего ужаснее, чем лицезреть безвольный, рабский, поставленный на колени народ! А уж какие виды открываются с поезда! Примерно тоже самое я вижу на каждой станции, когда выхожу на перекур по дороге в Сибирь - дороги, как после бомбежки, и серые города, чуть ли не лежащие в руинах. Так что Exodus невероятно смелый и глубокий шедевр, душевный и печальный, предназначенный в первую очередь для тех, кто любит вдумчивое прохождение, а не скипает всё подряд.
    P.S. Пройдено на PS4, баги были замечены, ни одного особо критичного для прохождения выявлено не было.    … Expand

    İt has some glitches and crashs but its a must play if you like to get lost in a greate story, be worned thou its not for you if you're the type who buys the same call of duty or assassin's creed every year, this game is intentionaly clunky, and you need to get in to the atmospher

Сюжет не затягнутий, а цікавий, тебе не тягнуть в додаткові місця, хочеш йдеш сам, не хочеш - йдеш далі за основним сюжетом, є навіть варіативність проходження, стелс, гучний бій, якісь обходи, навіть є механіка карми яка впливає на пряму на кінцівку.

    З неприємних моментів, можу виділити лиш    Крутий та унікальний геймплей, сучасна графіка, шедевральний сюжет, один з найкращіх, дійсно. Сюжет не затягнутий, а цікавий, тебе не тягнуть в додаткові місця, хочеш йдеш сам, не хочеш - йдеш далі за основним сюжетом, є навіть варіативність проходження, стелс, гучний бій, якісь обходи, навіть є механіка карми яка впливає на пряму на кінцівку.

    I recently bought the metro trilogy on ps4 from all of the 3 masterpieces this is the best I love how immersive the game is and how it has improved from the last games The story: 10/10

    Einer der besten Story-games die ich je gespielt habe. Jeder Charakter erzählt so eine Spannende und mitreißende Geschichte, wenn man ihnen den auch Zuhört. Das Gameplay bleibt seinen Vorgängern Treu, und die Mechanic mit dem Rucksack ist genial und sieht auch noch gut aus. .......

    Ich könnte hier noch 10 Stunden weiterschreiben also fasse ich mich kurz eine 10/10

    The Metro games are some of the best FPS games i have ever played. Exodus is 4A Games best one yet. The characters, music and overall story along with beautiful graphics and great stealth, combat and exploration make this one of if not my favorite game ever made.

    Hands down my favorite game in the Metro Series. There is less of mystical stuff. Game is generally focused on post-apocalyptic survival and exploration. I consider Metro Exodus a fully fledged AAA first person story game. That's a mouthful, but it is a great leap forward for the series as a whole. Previous two titles were AA quality, but still awesome. Metro Exodus is excellent.

And the whole feeling of the trip.

    Come on… name me one game that's so unlike the others, surely maybe more polished, but oh-so-average and no-risk stuff that was coming out in this genre for last few years. I would say maybe Horizon Zero Dawn would be one. But can't really name anything else, that's so completely out of this old "standard" approach to the FPS genre.

    I can understand technical issues (but I really had nothing game-breaking or any noticeable frame rate issue - but I must say I'm on a PS4 Pro) - but jeezus. With all that said, I really can't get enough of the FRESHNESS of the game - again, weapons, locations, dialogs, customization even. Do give the game a try. I personally had a blast and thankful for companies like 4A doing what they're doing, without trying to please everyone with STANDARD and boring af formulas (and no risk-taking)    … Expand

    Beside long loading times after dying I really loved this experience, it was so immersive and some environments looked INCREDIBLE.. I liked the characters and story and the different outcomes is a fine edition too.

    Some slight input lag fails to score this a perfect 10

    Voice acting could should have gotten a little more work done,
    Loading times can be frustratingly long

    Other than that, this is the definitive Metro experience, and a step up from the previous 2 installments, which with all due respect, were already atmospherically stunning.

    I really enjoyed this entry in the Metro series, much more then the last 2 and those ones were awesome. The graphics in this game are probably some of the best of seen in a ps4 game, so much tiny details in every level, left me in aw of what i was looking at. I personally enjoyed the mini open worlds much more, gave you more of a feeling of exploration without to much excess stuff likeI really enjoyed this entry in the Metro series, much more then the last 2 and those ones were awesome.     I've never played the previous titles although always intrigued by it. The game and its mechanics certainly takes getting used to. It's not some sort of 'fluid shooter'. It feels heavy and clunky, which does add to the realism and it's combat and exploration are designed around this, so it's not like you feel like hampered and just needs getting used to. Saying that, it does suffer from noticeable input lag and the AI isn't the greatest.

    Saying that, It is a very cinematic, atmospheric and story driven game and one of the very few games where friendly NPCs just feel so ''alive''. World building is incredible and manages to capture moments of sheer horror, comedy and fight for survival extremely well.
    Although the game is relatively short, gameplay and settings are varied, and it is not padded out with annoying repetitive tasks found in other games like Far Cry etc.

    I did genuinely struggle to warm up to the clunky movement and game mechanics to begin with so much so that I wasn't sure if I should just drop it. But, I persisted and I have to say that the overall gaming, visual experience, world immersion and story telling of the game were simply incredible. It's well worth sticking with it and getting used to it's nuances, just like it was with games like 'The Last of Us'.
    In fact I'd go as far as to say this should be an unmissable title for anyone interested in high quality games. I can't wait for it's two DLCs and It's certainly a game I'll re-visit with the next console generation which should resolve the current technical limitations.    … Expand

    easily the best one out of the series for me. The graphics do seem kind of date, but that's alright since the story and the amounts of customisations for weapons make up for it. The sensitivity does seem quite low though, had to turn it almost completely up to be able to turn my damn character and another thing that kinda pisses me off is the ridiculous loading times.     So all in all a fantastic game. The graphics are by far the best I’ve seen in a game thus far. The mechanics are very crisp and clean. Story is compelling and we all know the voice acting could have been a little better but I thought it was better than most people were saying it was. I played it on hardcore and am about to start the Ranger mode. The one bit of feedback I have is in hardSo all in all a fantastic game. The graphics are by far the best I’ve seen in a game thus far. The mechanics are very crisp and clean. Story is compelling and we all know the voice acting could have been a little better but I thought it was better than most people were saying it was. I played it on hardcore and am about to start the Ranger mode. The one bit of feedback I have is in hard core mode don’t make save points so readily available. You can save whenever you want which takes a lot of the suspense out of the game. It would be much more nerve racking if atleast when I am invading a camp I couldn’t save during my invasion. Now the ranger mode may be like this but I feel hardcore should be like that as well. Beyond that WOW what a great game. Great job 4AGames!… Expand

    I wish I could give this a 10 but there are a few technical shortcomings. Nonetheless this game is in my top 3 best survival games of all time. This one really hits the spot. 9.2/10

    А так я горжусь что кто-то из СНГ смог достойно показать себя на рынке видеоигр.    Отличная игра от украинских разработчиков. Да встречались баги но атмосфера и повествование сюжета перекрывают все эти минусы. Игра отлично симулирует выживание в постапокалиптическом мире, ты начинаешь переживать за всю команду.

    I'm going to get straight into this and say this. That Metro Exodus is phenomenal. I've spent a lot of time with this game, and without having completed it I am almost nearing the end, but I had to write this review and share my thoughts. First of all, why are people complaining that the movements are cumbersome? You play as a Spartan, with heavy armor and a backpack full of gear. 4A gamesI'm going to get straight into this and say this. That Metro Exodus is phenomenal. I've spent a lot of time with this game, and without having completed it I am almost nearing the end, but I had to write this review and share my thoughts. First of all, why are people complaining that the movements are cumbersome? You play as a Spartan, with heavy armor and a backpack full of gear. 4A games didn't want you running round the map like Master Chief or Soap McTavish, they wanted a boots on the ground, visceral, realistic experience. NOT a run round the map blasting everyone away like the Marine in DOOM, so please, stop complaining that movements are slow, it's made for some harrowing moments. Like seeing a group of Humanimals come your way and you turn and fire a shot and it whizzes past their head and you curse and reload that gun and then land a perfect shot, those are moments that must be felt in a post-apocalyptic environment. If you want a full action post-apocalypse to run round in then please, wait for RAGE 2. But if you want a solid adventure with a decent storyline and tense, heart in mouth moments, Metro is your thing, even without being a fan of the originals. I've completed Metro 2033 but didn't get around to Last Light even though I have the remasters, but Exodus is, as I said earlier, phenomenal. The gun play is great, the sneaking, and I don't usually have the patience for it, has been a smooth ride so far, the enemies are around enough to pose a threat but not too much to become an annoyance, the level design is perfect and the switch to open areas (I love scavenging) is amazing.
    I did, however, encounter a common bug which prevents you from using workbenches that you need to use to upgrade, repair, switch loadouts etc while I was on the Caspian desert level, but when I completed the chapter the bug fixed and wasn't a problem. It was annoying as I had to fight with dirty weapons for a while, but it did fix. That's literally the only negative I have about Metro, other than that, it's been one hell of a journey. 9/10    … Expand

    Минус только в физике, а именно в физике главного героя, нашего подопечного. Он, уак бы это сказать...., тупой, в плане ходьбы, прыжков, бега    Игра отличная! It's a slower paced SURVIVAL shooter with some occasionally shocking horror moments. Your character isn't a Call of Duty hyper soldier who runs on walls, he doesn't heal from wounds by crouching behind a log for 5 seconds and he doesn'tSo listen, there's a lot of hate coming from people who don't seem to understand what the Metro series is about, at least from a gameplay perspective. It's a slower paced SURVIVAL shooter with some occasionally shocking horror moments. Your character isn't a Call of Duty hyper soldier who runs on walls, he doesn't heal from wounds by crouching behind a log for 5 seconds and he doesn't sprint as though he was wearing a fresh pair of nikes and nothing but a t-shirt and sweats. He sprints like a guy carrying 3 guns, a backpack full of ammo and crafting resources, gas masks etc etc etc. Admittedly this might turn some people off of the game but for fans of the series like myself this is what we're used to and essentially what we wanted and expected. As a survival game, it's all about weighing your options in any given scenario based on how much ammo you have, air filters, health packs and all that other good stuff. The nature of the game is the ever-present tension of knowing that each of your resources count so if you decide to go guns blazing in one encounter where stealth was an option, you may find yourself in a ''forced shootout'' shortly afterwards wishing you had slit a couple of throats rather than spraying your AK at all the goons you met just before or avoided the pack of irradiated wolf **** haha. I think if you enter this game knowing these things you're a lot less likely to get frustrated or surprised by any of it. Otherwise it might make you decide that despite the game looking cool it just might not be for you, the same way PUBG isn't for me even though it's also a first-person shooter. Different strokes for different folks as they say. I wouldn't go review bomb a game that I don't understand or that straight up wasn't made for the type of gamer I happen to be.

    Now as for THIS particular entry in the series, my thoughts are as follows:

    PROS
    - First off the graphics are staggering at times. Some lower resolution textures here and there but nothing overly noticeable. The lighting is particularly impressive, even at night.
    - The newly added feature of semi open world design is far more interesting than I originally anitcipated. They managed to make exploration (something that was hardly present in the previous games) quite rewarding.
    - Speaking of rewarding... LOOT. They have a pretty rewarding system in place for this game. You find weapons AND weapon parts and attachments spread out everywhere throughout your travels. New types of gadgets and consumables, new types of air filters, body suits, ammo pouches and other such components. Every time I see an abandoned house or cave or whatever I end up finding something of great use to me. I always look forward to looking for my next favorite gun or attachment.
    - The weapon modding is really quite flexible. Just to give you an idea, I turned a six-shooter revolver into an awkward yet functional stubby little silenced sniper rifle that saved me more than a few bullets while sneaking about.
    - You have the choice to take on situations as you please. There is a day and night cycle that is used for more than just an aesthetic change. During the day human enemies are more active and common, whereas at night the creepy critters of the wasteland are far more active forcing you to either spend a lot of ammo on taking care of them or slowly crawling through mud and bushes in the hopes that the pack of watchmen just south of you doesn't spot you and scream for backup. there is also a karma system in place where your decisions affect your ending. Sometimes human enemies will even surrender when they notice that their friends are dropping like flies around them and feel like you're too badass for them to handle. At that point it's your choice whether to leave them to their fate, finish them off or knock them out.
    - The gunplay is also really satisfying in my opinion. They feel weighty, loud and wildly powerful. The sound design is a big part of why they have such a satisfying crunch to them.
    - Finally, for fans of the series, The story is really good. The why and the how to this adventure beginning makes a lot of sense and is really engaging. Some occasionally awkward dialogue, but pretty forgiveable as it's translated from Russian. Interesting characters as well.

    CONS

    - The AI is sometimes dumb as holy hell. This is coming from me playing on Hardcore difficulty too. I'll end up playing on the hardest Ranger Hardcore difficulty at some point but I doubt it'll be much much better. Though they are pretty dumb they ARE, however, lethal. Death is always close in this game.
    - Sometimes clunky controls. Might get smoothed out with some patches.
    - Steep learning curve for anyone not familiar with the series or the survival genre.
    - Occasionally campy dialog.
    - Some framerate dips here and there but nothing like what some people have been claiming.

Игра мне понравилась, но есть не большие не доработки, завис заложник, я не мог его освободить, а вспышку хотелось получить, я перепроходил всю главу из-за этого.(Всех врагов я убил).Еще была ситуация, когда я проходил игру получилось так, что у меня остался 1 фильтр и не было ресурсов, из-за сохранения главу не перепроходил.В целом игра очень хорошая, атмосфернее игры я не видел, превосходит предыдущие части, еще есть проблема с оптимизацией, падает fps когда проходишь мимо дыма, но я надеюсь это исправят, игра длинная(играл 30 часов), не знаю почему все жалуются "на псевдо открытый мир", мир можно сказать полностью открыт...Есть несколько концовок, лично я получил хорошую, мне понравилось.И еще не идеальное управление.     After finishing Metro Exodus both good and bad ending all I can say is that I love this game. My game has crashed 2 or 3 times, I've had some buggs, I've had frame drops but even after all of that I would still recommend this game. The gameplay is good, the enviroment is lovely, the graphics are amazing but the feeling of this game is what makes it so good!

    It's not a perfect game, there are some bugs and glitches, do not throw cans around, since everyone in the immediate area will know exactly where you are. But all in all they never bothered me to the point that I was not able to enjoy the game anymore.

    I would have given this game a solid 8, but since I think it deserves a lot more than 6.7 in the user scores I have given it a 9.    … Expand

Образы всего экипажа отпечатались у меня в голове на долгое время, эти сильные но в то же время добрые, родственные души, которые не оставят равнодушным многих; Дамирка - казахский парень, всепрощающий и помогающий, Идиот - главный лицедей и библиотека всего экипажа, Сэм - американский сукин сын, матерый боец и умелый повор, правда в начале немного подбешивал его стереотипный ход мысли и образа ( в отдельности хочется поговорить о отдельном дополнений про Сэма - история интересная, персонажи живие и за них хочется переживать. Чего только стойт момент пьянки Сэма и Капитана субмарины ), Степа - самый противоречивый персонаж, с одной стороны сильный, крепкий и устрашающий '' Русский медведь '' но с другой стороны - добрый, чуткий и трепетный здоровяк, Князь - молодой, бодрый и очень энергичный живчик, Токарев (Тэтэшник) - мужик обычный, умелый с золотыми руками и инвентаризатор и тех обслуга снаряжения всего экипажа, Леша - человек с самым большим либидом на Авроре, но такой же большой силой духа и отваги, Ермак - добродушный старик-машинист, Крест - этокий подмастерье и большой любитель техники, Аня - пассия нашего Артемки и по совместительству главная заноза в заднице Спортанцев после главы '' Волга '', Катя и Настя - ну тут говорить мало чего, Катя - лекарь и слуга Гипократа на борте старого поезда, а Настя - маленькая девочка, поддерживающая веру всего экипажа о наступлений лучших времен, Мельник - полковник специализированной группировки Спартанцев, человек службы, чести, отваги и мужества, человек с тяжелой рукой.
    Все бы ничего, но ввиду полной '' немоты '' Артема пропадает чувство погруженности, хочется хоть как то ответить персонажам, что я аж начал кивать им в ответ, лишь бы поняли меня.
    Атмосфера атмосферой, но и про графику не стоит забывать - моя оценка 6.5 из 10.
    Так же много недочетов по технической стороны: много фризов, долгие загрузки, частые сбой и баги системы ( вплоть до удаления всех сохранений и попаданию под текстуры на ровном месте ) по технике 5 из 10.
    Но эти факты не помешали мне наслаждаться игрой и ее живой историей.

    Very good game, 20+hrs. Nice graphics, good shooter, very realistic. Movement is not very fluid in many cases you will hit something in the environment many times without realizing what is it, even with some "bosses", movement it very hard and will be frustrating sometimes. But overall a ver todos game for the series!

Проблемные анимации моделек, мимика персонажей вообще ужасно, все слова попадают не в такт. Стелс ужасный, ты ходишь перед врагами и им плевать они тебя не видят и это ещё и на максимальном уровне сложности. Но так как игру делали соотечественники, я им прощу и это. Бюджет был не колоссально огромным, но даже так они сделали достойную игру, атмосфера ничуть не уступает прошлым частям. Ты играешь в эту игру, ты ощущаешь себя в этой игре. Had a whole lot of fun with the game. From start to end it never gets boring. And for how short the game is, (you can compete it in one weekend). It manages to fit tons of content in without feeling forceful. I do wish it was a little longer though. The characters are realistic and make the game feel a lot less gloomy and pointless. All though there are parts of the game that make you feel hopeless. Someone keeps you going. Both your character Artyom, and you going. The ending is strong and impactful with some great twists. I like how the game rewards you for being a good person In general. I also love the combat and it feels great both outside and in the Metro. You’ll feel tension fighting both humans and mutants. When running out of ammo you can simply stab your enemy in the throat.The crafting system is a lot more fun than having the vendors from previous games. Overall I love this game and it still holds up more than a year later. The replay ability is not bad either. You may find your first play through slow and methodical and your second crazy and action pact. Regardless it’s fun either way you play it. In conclusion it’s clearly worthy of being called a metro game. It stays true to its previous titles while having a very different plot. Many improvements and not many new problems… Expand

    This game is great, lovely small open world, no hand holding, just a harsh post apocalyptic shooter with a few RPG elements.

    The train makes the game really immersive, since you want to protect the crew and find ( spoiler) The weapons feel great, I loved the way the backpack works, you can upgrade any weapon and make small adjustments.

    The graphics are some of the best on PS4. The atmosphere is breathtaking, terrifying surroundings, day night cycle, terrible humans who roam the world. Traps. Cannibals.

    For me this is the best PS4 shooter there is. It’s more than a shooter, it’s an immersive experience.    … Expand

    Based on the Dmitry Glukhovsky Meto series that I highly recommend metro fans look up, the game is the hidden gem of 2020, with all the woke trash consuming all genres of media. Well done, some great stuff coming out from Ukrainian studios. Can't wait to see Stalker 2. Do yourself a favor & pick up the metro book series!

    I really liked this game. I have read the original books about Metro and finally managed to play this game.
    The shooting overall is fine, the crafting process as well as the exploring the world processes are also great. But the best feature of this game is the story itself and the atmosphere. I think this game is a “must-play” because of its atmosphere and the plot, which are truly awesome.

    A really very immersive one with an exciting ending, despite being "linear" you have the freedom to move around the game and choose what you want to do, as inside the train they are very interesting despite the long conversations, the game is not extremely challenging but it is good in the proposal "horror" is very worth to be played and I look forward to the continuation.

    Эта игра заставит даже самого стойкого и воспитанного человека невольно сказать что-то на подобие "Ут, сцуки я бы вам трёпку показал, ненавижу вас бандюги сраные". Эта игра может показать такие красоты, даже в столь умопомрачающей атмосфере что хочется просто расцеловать человека который делал локации в этой игре, но в тоже время в игре есть куча недочётом и маленьких деталей которые выбивают тебя из калеи постапокалептического выживания.
    Выбор, в этой игре ты мало когда столкнёшься с реальным выбором, разве что только когда выберешь убить врага или просто оглушить, но нет, даже столь маленькая сраная деталь изменила моё отношение к игре, так как в этой игре я отыгрывал роль последней mрази, и делал это с большим успехом, то я выкашивал всех и вся, даже добрых второстепенных персонажей(К примеру мужик на лесопилке который пил чай с 2 трупами). И в итоге за моё мразотное отношение ко всей жизни в этой игре игра меня наказала печальной концовкой, увидев которую я понял что всего этого можно было избежать.
    Битвы и остальное.
    Битвы тут мало как изменились с прошлых частей(ролики с прохождением куплинова), и поэтому из заметных изменений тут только то, что теперь нету торговцев, ты сам себе всё крафтиш и делаешь изделия для выживания.
    Итог.
    В итоге я могу сказать лишь одно......Это безусловно интересная и красивая игра, я не пожалел что потратил на неё деньги(использовал свой американский аккаунт для покупки)
    Безусловно она стоила своих денег и того времени что я на неё потратил, но от себя скажу что лучше всё таки пройти сначала прошлые игры этой серии.
    Upd. В связи с спецоперацией на территории Украины я вспомнил эту игру и мне показалось что возможно это будующая жизнь в России, надеюсь что такого не случиться ни с одной из стран этого мира.

    Metro Exodus was a game that pleasantly surprised me. I enjoyed Last Light on PS3 and was wanting to play Exodus for quite some time. Now that I've seen it through to the end, I can confidently say that although it struggles in some areas, Metro Exodus is pretty damn good. and it exceeded the expectations I had for it.

    I was hoping that Exodus would eschew some of the rigidity in the    Metro Exodus was a game that pleasantly surprised me. I enjoyed Last Light on PS3 and was wanting to play Exodus for quite some time. Now that I've seen it through to the end, I can confidently say that although it struggles in some areas, Metro Exodus is pretty damn good. and it exceeded the expectations I had for it.

    I was hoping that Exodus would eschew some of the rigidity in the controls from 2033 and Last Light, but it's still handles like its predecessors. There's an overall clunky stiffness to aiming and movement that is definitely off-putting at first and I searched the options menu for aim sensitivity options several times and couldn't find them, so I played the entire game on default sensitivity. Thankfully, my experience in Last Light allowed me to adapt quickly, but I can understand why newcomers would be put off.

    Once you adjust to the controls, Exodus really draws you in. The Metro series has always provided a level of atmosphere and detail that most other shooters can't compete with, and it's no different here. Artyom and his entourage's harrowing journey to find their "promised land" is full of tender moments and brutal gut-punches in equal measure. I cared about what happened to my companions and was invested in their plight.

    The Metro series likes players to take their time, and Exodus continues this tradition. To rush through the game is to deprive yourself of its charm. Whether you're listening to a casual conversation between a group of people, reading a journal, or having a tender moment alone with your wife, Exodus uses these small touches to flesh out its world and characters. Sometimes dialogue can drag on for what seems like ages, but I'd rather have the extra exposition than have the game suffer from a lack of it.

    Gameplay is mostly a mix of exploration, scavenging, stealth, and combat. The world of Metro, now more open than ever, is rife with radiation, mutants, bandits, and different factions of survivors who may help or hinder you depending on how you treat them. Stealth is a key component, as it's far easier and more efficient to either avoid or silently dispatch foes than it is to loudly turn every potential threat into Swiss cheese. Light is an important stealth mechanic and you'll often finding yourself slowly extinguishing an enemy encampment of their visibility while quietly neutralizing them one by one. Exodus also has a full day-and-night cycle that can help or hinder you, as stealth is easier in the dark, but mutants are more plentiful.

    Combat is an option, whether you prefer it or need to fall back on it, and there's plenty of weapons at your disposal that can be customized to your liking. Shooting can feel stiff, but it gets the job done. Even on normal difficulty, health is extremely limited and can only be restored by either using craftable medkits or sleeping, so it's important to not get careless or hasty.

    Exodus has further systems that impact gameplay. You have a flashlight, but its battery must be periodically recharged via a portable power device. which takes a few seconds. Your gas mask is essential to entering areas saturated with radiation, but you only have so much air and need to replace filters every minute. Taking damage with your mask on also risks cracking it and necessitating repairs. Speaking of which, weapons will slowly become dirty over time and need to be cleaned at a workbench. Workbenches also allow you to customize your weapons and craft more ammo and equipment. Cleaning and crafting requires components that can be scavenged out in the field. All of this can seem overwhelming and cumbersome at first, but overall, I feel that the survival elements end up enhancing the experience rather than detracting from it and they help the game (and series) carve out a unique identity compared to other FPS games.

    Complains are few, but important. Metro Exodus commits a cardinal FPS sin: At several points, you're forced into close encounters with heavily armored bullet sponge enemies and it immediately derails the entire flow of the game. Every mechanic and tactic that propels Exodus forward is thrown out the window and you're forced to sit behind cover and cheese the enemy until they die, using up most of your ammo in the process. It completely sucks you out of the immersion and proves to be an exercise in frustration. What possessed the developers to betray their design philosophy in favor of cheap difficulty spikes is beyond me, but it's bad.

    I also had several instances where the silent takedown prompt didn't appear when close behind an enemy and I was spotted. Several times I was spotted by one person and he barely made a sound before I killed him, yet the entire area was put on alert. These occurrences are seldom, but they sour the experience. And while Exodus is beautiful, graphical glitches can leave you scratching your head.

For people new to the Metro series, if you enjoy first-person survival set in a post-apocalyptic setting this could be for you but without playing the previous games the story may not have as much of a connection withPretty much if you've played the previous Metro games like I have and enjoyed them, then buy this. If you didn't enjoy the old ones then I can't guarantee you'll enjoy this.     Not as strong as the metro 2033 and last light, this game has a good tragic story, good environment, good enemies and excellent weird beasts. I enjoyed a lot the atmosphere of this apocalyptic world. Shooting with bow was sooo fun.

    I played Metro Exodus in 2019 and thought it was a great game that I liked.
    However, I experienced a low frame rate often and loading times were way too long.

Metro exodus signs best at it's moments when you find yourself wondering around the wasteland in solitude.

    Updated my review after some more play time. The first section of the game doesnt do the game justice. I especially did not like the church by the lake and the first open areas you meet. But the game gets a lot better after you leave the first area with the train and winter turns to spring.
    So if you're not liking the beginning, I suggest stick through the first part - it gets better.

    I just finished the game and you can see footage on Youtube (PS Play NL). It took me around 14 hours and i had a blast. Its a nice game and follows the footsteps of Metro Last Light and 2033. The atmosphere is fantastic, graphics and sounds are good, but the gun shooting could use an improve. It's easier to shoot beast with shotgun and human with rifle.

    I like the more linear style. So the chapter in the beginnen like The Volga was a bit disappointing. It was more like go here, do this and next. What you expect from an open world game. After that chapters are getting alot better and the chapter Dead City was great! The game was a bit short and i wish i had more story to it.

    Did you like 2033 and Last Light? You will like this game. Sometimes there can we alot of dialogs, but you can skip that if you want. If you see it on sale, buy it.    … Expand

    Good story and gameplay when there were no frame rate, popping textures and audio issues but there were a lot of issues, I'm sure in time these will all be fixed but there is no reason for releasing a game in this state, I'm giving an 8 instead of a 6 like I feel I should because I'm sure it will eventually get there (fingers crossed)

    Great German game from Deep Silver entertainment. This is metro. Only looking better than ever and a genuine dynamic gameplay that keeps you challenged long after it's over. While lacks in a strongly defined asthetic, that i prefer. It is not a bad game. Quite the oppesite

The glitches can be frustrating at times, especially with stealth, or the occasional surrendered enemy who is still shouting that he's going to blyat all over your face.     Но есть у игры и минусы: 1) Самый отвратительный - как отметил не только я, когда стреляешь противнику в голову чуть выше уровня носа, то попадание не засчитывается. 4A Games поправьте хитбоксы.. это прям самое бесявое. 2) Тоже крайне бесячая вещь - аим не помагает, а больше мешает стрелять.. при чем аим как правило сразу выцеливает голову и при чем именно ту часть, где хитбокс кривой. 3) Лицевая анимация страдает. Что сильно отталкивает во время хороших диалогов. Именно из-за отвратной анимации я так и не смог осилить сюжетку CoD:WW2.. 4) Иногда крашится быстрое сохранение.. первый раз такое на Плойке встречаю.
    Приобрел издание Аврора и ситуация с постером, где Россия написано с маленькой буквы, меня крайне опечалило. В целом игрой доволен. Но как по мне, зря дату перенесли на 15 февраля. Шероховатости чувствуются крайне сильно.

    I really love the metro games this one is a fine addition my only real issues are when you load up the game on PS4 for the first time it takes way to long to boot up. I have also experienced some visual glitches fighting bandits were they would run across air to another place and have found bandits sleeping on couches with only their head sitting on it.

The game so far has been quite brilliant, and enjoyable - a definite play for anyone familiar with the series.

    Unfortunately, there are a couple of points, that really do knock the game down: Surround sound problems, and horrendous AI enemies. Let me expand:

    Regarding the surround sound - the game seems to have some real issues with sound sent to the front speaker. For example, if you hear a gun fight in front of you - you head that way, only to discover that the sound was actually coming from behind! As turning around (after finding no such fight) results in the sound still coming out of the front speaker! Same goes for enemy voices and footsteps at times - I'm not sure if it's intermittent or not, but it's certainly not my setup (works fine on all other games!).

    The enemy AI.... they are either completely stupid, or pinpoint deadly accurate. They also appear to have a sixth sense or something, as you could be hiding in complete darkness, picking their friends off silently; for them to all know exactly where you are! It really destroys immersion when the game does this, and there's no logic to it - I'm in the dark, NV goggles on, no laser pointer, silenced gun, and not seen by their torches - yet, they know exactly were I am!!

    The open world side is welcome, I feel it adds a fair bit more to the game, being able to explorer and find resources, on that front, I miss the different bullet types; that added an nice little touch to the whole 'end of the world' thing - using poor metro-made ammo, vs lovely pre-bombs ammo.    … Expand

    Having moved the action away from the dark tunnels of Moscow's underground onto a train, going into the unknown and forced to make stops throughout the journey, Metro Exodus' authors created a memorable interactive adventure consisting of happiness from discovering love and grief from irreplacebale loss, hope of better future and despair from understanding the truth. On top of that one might call Exodus a distorting mirror that reveals the most horrible sins of mysterious Russian soul: heresy and servilism.

    Overall, Metro Exodus is an enjoyable shooter. Taking Metro out of the Metro is a good move for the series, but the game still provides plenty of claustrophobic locations for those who enjoyed the dark tunnel crawls of Metro games past. The ammunition system is still limited, but it feels better managed and more forgiving this time out, although I can still see it as being frustrating to some players. If you haven't played a Metro game before or were put off by the games in the past, give Metro Exodus a chance. You can catch this train running and enjoy the ride.
