    I rented this garbage and returned the next day. it's there things that should never happen. online. micro transaction filled and a cash grab with zombies. mgsv was bad enough but this is just terrible.

    This game is just boring. Hitting zombies with a stick over and over again is not fun. The only enjoyment I got out of this game was turning it off.

    This game is just Konami trying to get profit and overall try to make a Metal Gear game without Kojima. Both have failed, but don't worry, Konami will never give up on digging their grave deeper and we might even see some more failed attempts of games in the future. Remember Silent Hill? We're all doomed.

    Congratulations! This game has done what no other game has made me do, create a Metacritic account! Where do I start? Cash-grab? $10 save slots? Micro-transactions with a horrible A.I.? $40 for a game that should have been a new IP instead of ruining the legacy of MGS. Next time Konami thinks of pulling something like this again they should turn it into a pachinko machine so I never haveCongratulations!     I'll keep this short and to the point. This is nothing more than a shameless cash grab while using the Metal Gear name as an eye-catcher, avoid this absolute mess of a game unless you love being paywalled behind almost everything relevant in the game, almost EVERYTHING costs real money in this game.

    This game has nothing to do with Metal Gear other than the name and it is shoehorned into the world of Metal Gear. You get one out of 4 character slots, and each of the other 3 slots costs 10 dollars...yes, 10 dollars PER slot! You also get teams to get you rare items from scavaging missions, but you get one out of 6, and each locked slot is ALSO 10 dollars!!! The grind for items isThis game has nothing to do with Metal Gear other than the name and it is shoehorned into the world of Metal Gear.     We may never get another legitimate metal gear game because of what konami have done, they get a 0 for even attempting to continue the property they killed. I'll always miss the real metal gear solid.

    utter **** , literally the worst thing that could have happened to a metal gear franchise .
    the game play is a mix of tedious unbalanced "surviving" boosted by the most repetitive annoying AI voice ever , ur stamina is non existing , the assets are MGV identical , the world is empty .
    for short it's a zombie mod for MGV sold separately for 40$ but if u need more save slots u need 10$ ,    utter **** , literally the worst thing that could have happened to a metal gear franchise .

    i would love to give it +1 just coz it's MG themed and i love(d) the serie but it has micro transactions way too overboard -1

    This is the worst game I've ever played. Period. Unlike Metal Gear 5, each mission plays in one way: going behind a fence and beating the zombies to death. They fired the guy who made Metal Gear 5, then made this garbage. This is a slap in the face to Kojima. They used the fox engine. Slap a new map and make it an annual franchise and the games will be mediocre at best. This game isn'tThis is the worst game I've ever played. Period. The zombies are basically invincible and whenever you find anything cool the fun ends after 2 minutes because it breaks so easily. Your base is so far away and your only signal to where it is is your map. Half the time the map is covered with fog making it so you can't see the waypoint! The food is far away from the base and you can't eat it when you get it. You have to walk back to your base. I could go on and on about this disgusting game but I'm wasting my time as it is.… Expand

    Is Metal Gear Survive worth it? Oh yeah, totally. Game of the Year. Honestly, I don’t know why you haven’t bought it yet! Death Stranding won’t be able to compete with this. Sarcasm aside, don’t buy this game, just don’t. Yeah, the environments and visuals are kind of neato and the feeling of helplessness certainly comes across, but it’s just a clusterf**k.

    The whole existence of Metal Gear Survive closely resembles this of the Wanderers – the game’s zombies. With the story, characters and wit ripped out completely off it’s body, what remains is a lifeless yet standing shell of Metal Gear Solid V. The decent (and borrowed) survival mechanics barely keep this husk walking around aimlessly with no purpose whatsoever. Survive may not be a bad survival game, but the merciless grind required and lack of respect for gamers’ time are inexcusable.
