This unique little adventure game will provide you with a couple of hours of genuine laugh-out-loud fun as you play through the story mode trying to just make Sam get through his day – with the co-op mode and time trials adding a little longevity to your good times. The dialogue alone bumps my rating up another star.

Because of the game’s short story mode, the mechanics and dialogue never became tiring or repetitive. On the whole, it’s a generally well-executed idea that just runs with its silliness and works all the better for it. Go ahead and grab it whilst it’s on sale and spend a couple hours with Death, War, and Satan himself… oh, and try not to pee on yourself!

It’s a short but sweet game that does something a little bit unique. It’s unlikely to win any Game of the Year awards and it will only be amusing for so long, but considering it’s a budget priced game, I still felt that I got decent value out of the title.

It’s not entertaining, nor is it memorable for any good reason. It’s simply frustrating, annoying, problematic and painful to play. Skip it, and spend your money on something much more deserving of it than Manual Samuel is.

For its price Manual Samuel is a short but fun experience that won’t outstay its welcome. Some scenes can become a little repetitive but the novelty will carry you through the majority of the game and the humour will take you the rest of the way.
