    Usually you can tell when a game has been play tested upon release because the platinum trophy will have a percentage of 0.1%. Mafia II Definitive Edition has 0%. A game so broken that the platinum trophy is locked due to a bug that took too long too fix.

    In fact, I’m positive this same bug was in the original version of the game in 2012.     Купил я сие чудо, игру сложно назвать ремастером... Из плюсов
    +Увеличили качество текстур
    + поработали с освещением + сюжет старый) А теперь минусы - обосанная оптимизация игре 10 лет сильные просадки даже не в загруженных сценах. - убрали физику вещей, местами при управлении машины.( долбаебы) - анимация , местами полный пиздец - баги!!! Багов пиздец то трава пропадет, то блять    Купил я сие чудо, игру сложно назвать ремастером... Из плюсов

    В общем самый кривой и обосанный ремастер убить весьма не плохую игру. Не тратьте деньги , я пожалел что купил!
    А да эти кривые долбаебы на мафии 3 нихуя не сделали + ухудшили еще больше графику... это пздц
    Я не рекомендую к покупке!!! на ремейк первой мафии который выйдет 28 августа, я не питаю надежд...

    Game is overall good. The graphics are a little bit updated but that is obviously because it is on newer consoles. Game does not feel delayed in any movement. It also does not feel clunky which is good.

    I picked Mafia 2 with bundle together with 1st Mafia remake, so while waiting for the original to become available, I'm playing Mafia 2, and it's extremely entertaining. It has some bugs, yes, but nothing to ruin the fun.
    If you loved it back then, you'll love it even more upgraded.

    Разочаровывает халатное отношение разработчиков к ремастеру - так они показали своё неуважение к поклонникам и сообществу в общем.

    Суть проявилась и это - зарабатывание лёгких денег на чужих кошельках.

    So called "definitive" edition on PS4 is literally the worst place to play this decade old game. Buy the game of the year version of the original release for PS3, 360, or Steam, avoid this remaster unless it's literally the only way you can play. Mafia 2 is one of the best games of it's generation and a love letter to fans of classic crime stories like the Godfather and the films of MartinSo called "definitive" edition on PS4 is literally the worst place to play this decade old game. Buy the game of the year version of the original release for PS3, 360, or Steam, avoid this remaster unless it's literally the only way you can play. Mafia 2 is one of the best games of it's generation and a love letter to fans of classic crime stories like the Godfather and the films of Martin Scorsese, but this version is embarrassing. On my game the "Saving..." indicator in the top left corner literally never left the game, no matter if I was on the main menu, DLC stories, or after having reset the game. Plenty of other game breaking bugs too, mostly scripting stuff. The dialogue in cutscenes only plays in your left earphone if using headphones of any sort, and this 10 year old PS3 game on PS4 is a ridiculous 52 GB, making it even bigger than it's sequel, Mafia 3, a four year old PS4 game that even got a similar "remaster" treatment, and lastly, the technical performance of the game isn't even better than the original PS3 release, with frequent pop-in and a bad framerate. If Mafia 2 interests you, definitely play it, but only buy this version unless it's the only way to do so. Fingers crossed the Mafia 1 remake is handled with the care it deserves, unlike this.… Expand

    To be honest, I really enjoyed the news about remaster as this was one of my favourite games when I was a teen-ager. Okay, then here comes the may 19th and what we can see - 30 USD for the game with tons of issues.     Would not recommend buying this game, if only it's price was no higher than 10USD.

    This is just a shameless cash grab, full of glitches and disappointing visuals. the original Mafia II was a masterpiece. this is not an upgrade and not worth your time if you have played the original.

    Yes its buggy sometimes, but this game is a piece of art, you people have to appreciate the art in this game. There is not a single other game about the Mafia that comes even close. Its just the perfect illustration of an italian immigrant in New York in 1940. I have played at least 300 games, and Mafia II will always stay in my top 5 of all time games.

    This game is absolute garbage. When I played the original mafia 2 back in 2010 I didn't face any bugs that could mess up my gameplay. This remastered version has one fatal issue and that is being textures disappearing and my car always falling under the map. The game is u playable. Smh.

    Probably one of the worst remasters ever, bad lag awful frame rate and it crashes way to often, buildings and structures barely load in Hanger 13 shouldn't have bothered with a remaster because the older game runs a lot better than the remaster.

    I bought the remastered trilogy of hearing for years nothing but praise for the series, especially the plot and characters, and wanted to give it a go now it's remastered.
    However I found the games incredibly dull and shallow. This is also true for Mafia 2 however the plot does start to get more interesting towards the end, but by that point I was waiting for the game to be over. I had instances where my game completely locked up on playstation because it mid-game asked me to create a 2k Account and I clicked the refuse button. I had to force close the game to be able to do anything. Then one time, whilst playing the game, I got screen lag whilst pressing buttons, only for a privacy policy screen pop up saying it wants to remove my privacy and do i accept, immediately followed by a thank you for accepting message.    … Expand

On PS4 Pro at the launch was almost not real, there was no such drop FPS before that we could talk about graphic artifacts and cut physics. Surprisingly, DLC did not sell separately. I love the story the gameplay but the glitches on this game is unbelievable in the mission whare you have to warn leo i fail like 9 10 time because i can't open the gate because of glitch and the checkpoint in this game is very bad in one mission whare you have to get 27500 you need only 2500 but after you get it and die you have to start all over again.… Expand

    Unfortunately, this version of Mafia II feels like a barely-touched-up version of a last-gen game that constantly tested my patience and despite my love for the script, I can’t recommend that anyone play through hours and hours of a mediocre, buggy mess just to see the cutscenes. In its current state, Mafia II: Definitive Edition is not worth a player’s time or money — without any further improvements or substantial patches, this one needs to sleep with the fishes.

    The remaster of Mafia II remains a great opportunity totally missed by the publisher to turn the bad memories, softened anyway by nostalgia, into a new worthwhile adventure. Instead, we received a console port put together haphazardly and without any care or consideration. The Definitive Edition of Mafia II dooms the game to go down in history as an experience that went from bad to worse.
