Madden 19 is noticeably better than 18 when you play it. It is not perfect but it is more fun to play. The player movement is more responsive. Seeing the entire field when passing is better, they must have improved the cameras a bit because now when my QB is in the pocket, I just feel more comfortable seeing which receiver to throw to. The running is tougher but I like that. The A.I. is much more intelligent now as now teams really do play more like their real life counterparts. I played against Steelers and they ran the ball much more than the pass happy Patriots. Also the DBs in this game for the first time ever in a Madden game, do not drop the ball. Now if a QB makes a bad throw more than likely DB will come down with Interception. Graphics are significantly better. Most importantly, Madden 19 does not feel repetitive like 18. I feel like this will be a game even 6 months from now, you will still want to play. Expand

It's interesting that last year kp70724 scored Madden '18 a 4/10, and this year it is a 2/10. Is the game twice as bad? Has kp70724 even spoken with the games creator, John Madden, and asked about why he made the design decisions he did? Common, let's have some integrity people!!

8/10 for another amazing game from the all time great gaming whiz and all around great guy John Madden.

P.S. Keep an eye out for kp70724, it looks like he is being paid by Metacritic to make sure game has a fair and balanced overall user score and is paid to bring down game scores that are too high. Some people would sell their soul for a steak sandwich!! 2/10 for a game as amazing as Jonathan Madden, you've gotta be MAD to think that's a fair score!! 8/10 is the only fair score. 7/10 is too low because clearly the graphics are incredible, but not a 9/10 because graphics alone don't make a game amazing. I pray to my lord that Jonathan Madden doesn't pass away before Madden '20 and he can release his next masterpiece.

I haven't played Madden since Madden 10 and this game feels great so far.

I really enjoy how franchise mode plays out and the overall feel of the game is much better than the previous one I played on xbox 360. The player motion feels great and the AI seems much smarter.

I’m absolutely in love with this game. Haters are already hating, but that always happens. The addition of the following positions with their own unique ratings has really improved the experience: power halfback, slot wide receiver, rush left end, rush right end, rush defensive tackle, sub package linebacker and one or two others that I can’t think of at the moment. Just ignore all of the bad reviews, if you're a die-hard Madden fan then you'll love this game! Each year Madden just gets better and better, though the music is a bit lackluster this year that doesn't take away from the exciting hard hitting action! Get in the game!!!

Madden 19 is a big improvement from madden 18 across the board except for long shot. The gameplay, especially competitive online play, is much better, your receivers don’t need 10 feet of space around them to catch the ball, however you won’t see cheese one handed catches. Running the ball is a bit more difficult this year but if it feels a lot more fun. MUT isn’t as pay to win (for the time being), which makes a solo grinder budget guy like me happy. The power system in MUT this year is way better than last years power up system. Franchise mode is better but still not great. It’s harder to build a dynasty this year on account of realism, you can import custom draft classes, and the new archetype system paired with schemes increases the immersion. However, the sim stats in franchise seem a bit unrealistic, with edge rushers consistently getting nearly 20 or above 20 sacks, among other statistical issues. For the bad, Longshot I’ve heard was meh, but that’s not what I play the game for. Online, the strip ball mechanic can be overpowered at times. The commentary is pretty bad and doesn’t capture the excitement of the game. Finally, the running animation is really awkward and weird. Overall, Madden 19’s much improved gameplay and franchise make it a worthy buy. Expand

This is the first time i've played a Madden game, so I don't have anything to compare it against, and i am spending all of my time i Ultimate Team, so cannot speak of the game as a whole. But I am loving this game from what I have been using it for. Every single day there seems to be new Ultimate Team content, and I am quite frankly overwhelmed by the number of things to do within this mode alone. For a completionist, this would be quite irritating that you cannot keep up with the challenges, but that's a good problem to have in a game like this.

Tried playing multiplayer twice and was murdered both times - this is in the initial league, but hopefully you can get relegated from there and i'll be pitted against people more at my level.

Beautiful graphics, satisfying challenges, tons of content, solid game!

Madden 19 does not redefine the series but it's a great game nevertheless.

Madden NFL 19 is a sublime example of what can be achieved with a sports title. The Real Player Motions generates that feeling of not 'controlling' players, but rather living as the players instead. Seeing how lifelike all the players are within a match, and how they communicate with each other before and during plays, and then watching them seamlessly get into the next play, is freakishly uncanny.

Madden 19 is much like Madden 18 before it.
