This game in my opinion is one of those silly fun Lego games to play. And has the same story as the movie and plus it looks great on HD. And the characters are great and fun to play as them the only problem I have is really nothing so it is a masterpiece I guess. So you should buy this game.

Ive played several LEGO games beginning with the original Star Wars. Over the years the games have gotten better in all areas such as graphics, control, sound, replay, puzzles, number of characters, adding dialogue etc etc etc. I just felt like this game stepped up the some of the really monotonous building actions & puzzles (puzzles might not be the correct word). If you like LEGO games then this is a great step forward to changing things up a bit. The add on characters aren’t necessary but fun but i do recommend playing the extra levels. C-3PO & his red arm is a touching level in particular. Expand

The games I usually enjoy the most are the ones that I have low expectations going in to. For example I wasn’t very interested in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens at first, then I started hearing good things about it here and there and I decided to give it a try. And to say the least I enjoyed this game…A LOT. It was one of the best LEGO games I have ever played. And to say the least I enjoyed this game…A LOT. It was one of the best LEGO games I have ever played. The gameplay was great and had new features such as TPS cover shooting sections, multi build system and dog fights. The story follows the movie Star Wars the Force Awakens and also includes new levels too. It has a wide range of characters and vehicles that fans know and love. As usual with LEGO games there is plenty replay value and stuff to collect. Also the voice acting is great and the fact that they got the cast members back to record extra dialogue is the icing on the cake. Other than the occasional glitch I enjoyed this game immensely and recommend it to any Star Wars fan. Expand

LEGO Force Awakens brings back the magic of the original instalments and adds new game mechanics that require a bit more thought.

Going into this game, I had no idea what to expect because I had never really played a Lego Star Wars game before. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised in how much fun I was having.
The game began with me taking on the role of Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca and Luke Skywalker in the battle of Endor. From there you progress through the story of the seventh installment of the Star Wars franchise. In the Force Awakens, you will play through Ten, epic chapters of non-stop action, puzzle solving, platforming fun. All the way from the Assault on Jakku to the Epilogue of Lukes island. Playing as characters from the franchise we all know and love and some new ones who we have grown to love.
Now the gameplay in this game is something that threw me off course because of Lego games I have seen before. It is an action adventure/ third person cover shooter, Which is great because we see all these genres of games coming together in this one game. When I started to be able to fly in the millennium falcon and dog fighting I lost my mind in excitement. Going around shooting, hitting enemies of the first order and watching them fall apart into pieces is very satisfying. Now as far as puzzles go the majority of them are quite easy but as I progressed through the story of the game I found them to become more challenging there were two or three puzzles that took me about fifteen minutes to figure out. While you are doing these puzzles you have to switch between characters a lot because certain characters that have certain specialties; which is why this game is more fun if you have someone to co-op this game with.
Lego Star Wars is a game that is fun and exhilarating with over 100 collectibles it gives you all the more reason to go back and play it all over again to get more of the collectibles that you missed on your first playthrough because you needed a certain character for. With great gameplay mechanics and great dialogue and some comedy that even an adult will have a great appreciation for. Lego Star Wars the Force Awakens is definitely worth the pickup.

Great game, simple and fun, just like games used to be back in the day. This is by far the best game I've ever played. The amazing graphics, the stunning storyline, the amazing characters. This is the pinnacle of gaming, and I think that no game will ever close to hitting the greatness that this one did. If I could give it a 1,000,000, I would. This is truly the culmination of all the progress the gaming industry has made.

The best version of one of the best Lego games. After playing on Wii U, the PS4 version plays like a dream. Not without its share of occasional glitches, but definitely solid.

I recently purchased the deluxe edition of his game from PSN for $7.49. It was cheaper than the standard edition by 50 cents (but only if you had PS+). It's the first Lego game that I've ever owned and I didn't expect it to be super challenging or anything and it wasn't. Not that I'd mind. I liked how well thought-out some of the mechanics were. Many are very simple yet at times I got a little stumped on certain sections. The game is more of a sillier take on the movie it's based on while staying pretty close to the events of the film. The story consists of 10 chapters and an epilogue. You could honestly beat it in a day if you wanted to. But when you do, there is still tons of content left. There is a lot of replay value here in this game. After watching the credits, the completion percentage came up. I had about a 24% completion rate. So many unlockable characters with different abilities that you can go and replay levels with in Free Play mode. Doing that will help you access things you couldn't before. There are several unlockable ships, and other missions that can be unlocked via the collection of Gold Bricks throughout the game. You can find Red Bricks as well that kind of act as modifiers (Examples include Super Strength, Disco Sabers, and multipliers for Studs). You still have to buy them with the gold and silver bits that you find everywhere though. These can also be used to buy more characters, and I believe vehicles as well. And while I'm on the subject of that, this shouldn't actually be refreshing but it's just nice to play a video game that has its own in-game currency and there is no option whatsoever to buy that currency with real money. NONE. But back to the stuff you can do, you can also travel to multiple planets. I did encounter some glitches in the game though. One was on the level where you meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca on the Millennium Falcon. I had to start the level over and it was fine after that. Another type of glitch that I'm actually still experiencing now is with the carbonite bricks. When you find some and bring them to the terminal to thaw them out to see what characters are in them, you're supposed to see them. But now after the effect takes place, nothing is shown. It's a shame because the element of surprise is ruined by this issue. You can still see who you have when they show the name of the character though. Overall I had a really good time with this game and look forward to finding all of the unlockables. And the game supports 2 players locally as well, so that's another reason to scoop this one. Expand

Overall, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a genuinely faithful recreation of the Star Wars universe, while being brilliantly entertaining, charming and as good as any LEGO Star Wars game which has came before it, therefore it is not only a highly recommended game if you are a fan of LEGO games, but also if you are a fan of the Star Wars universe.

Traveller's Tales FINALLY evolves their product over the critical point. The last few installations to Lego franchise have been disappointments, but Star Wars proves, that the studio hasn't lost their touch. The dull fighting mechanics are improved, level design is solid and the source material is adapted beautifully to Danish plastic. Hopefully TT Games will stay on this curve. [Sept 2016]

As with the recent LEGO games, Force Awakens is a fun distraction for a while, but ultimately doesn't bring much to the overcrowded branch of LEGO games.
