    I started Last Stitch Goodnight unimpressed with its attempts at humour but after four and a half hours of basic yet varied combat, unique boss battles and intriguing story, I finished with a much more positive outlook.

    Carves out its own unique place in the metroidvania genre, largely thanks to its whimsical take on presentation, puzzle-solving, and narrative.

    Whilst I loved the meditations on life and identity, the game never really felt polished enough to avoid detracting from the overall experience. It is by no means a bad game, but ends up as perhaps the very epitome of average.
