There is nothing great behind this game and the small basis it has is nothing spectacular or catching. You basically grind the same dungeons over and over for some errands and money. The menu system is horrible the same goes to smithing system. Katana Kami is not especially bad but it is neither good or motivating either.

I bought this game on a sale and uninstalled it after some hours

I bought this game on a sale and uninstalled it after some hours of grinding that felt pretty pointless. I had the feeling beforehand that this game would not be worth it but still wanted to give it a try. I do not recommend buying this game, not even on a sale. There is just not enough of substance behind it and for the regular price it is actually somewhat disgusting for the content it provides. Not really sure how people can give this game a 9 or 10 score when there are literally stunning triple A titles on the market for half the price this title costs. The graphics are looking also pretty outdated. The combat system has potential, the monster design is not too bad either but the game play loop is just boring as hell.

Katanakami: A Way of the Samurai Story is on the easier side of the spectrum for a Mystery Dungeon title, but the way it infuses the genre with decent swordplay.

Katana Kami: A Way Of The Samurai Story attempts to bring back a beloved PS2 franchise with a new twist. However, its lackluster execution and heavy repetitiveness leaves very little excitement in its wake. Fans might find some appeal here, but only consider this game if you're looking for a repetitive and simplistic dungeon crawler.

Katana Kami A way of the samurai story is a nice throwback to the PS2 era, with an interesting combat system and plenty of replay value, but also plenty of repetition and a dull UI.
