J-STARS Victory VS+ is not perfect, but is the ultimate anime crossover and a must have for anyone who loves manga and Japanese animation.

Its structure lacks of frills and it may appear to simple, but J-Stars Victory VS. + is a joy to play and can count on an excellent roster of fighters.

J-Stars Victory VS+ is a crossover for the ages and a delightfully mad brawler in its own right. A few shortcomings are overshadowed by the attention to detail, great cast, riotous combat and the big silly grin it will leave on your face.

The more characters you know or recognize the more fun you will have with this tremendous roster of animanga star power. But fortunately J-Stars has more to offer, e.g. a solid fighting system and astonishingly diverse characters. The arenas and campaign mode lack variety, though.

With some polish and refinement; it could be a great series. I really hope that this isn’t its final form.

Unlike almost everything, but far from perfect. Otakus should have it, the other players may have more complete options, but not so original in its genre.

As a fighting game, J-Stars Victory VR+ is quite limited, but with more than fifty characters taken from the most important manga and anime series, will definitely make Shonen Jump fans happy.

It's a great tribute to a good amount of anime and manga characters, but when it comes to gameplay some ideas are better than others. Still, as a game, it is really fun, and particularly enjoyable if you like the franchises it is based on.

Specially designed for the otaku fandom. It feels chaotic the first time you play it and its graphics are clearly outdated, but it delivers some flashy and spectacular moments. Tip: play it with friends.

A dream come true for manganime fans. The most popular franchises and characters from the Shonen Jump magazine are included.

Many different characters to play as satisfyingly fun combat different than most fighting games. Offers a ton of content but will have go be played extensively if you want to unlock everything. It's a very fun addicting arena battle game, if you're a fan of shonen Jump manga like naruto, bleach or dbz or if you just want a fun unique fighting game different than the arcade fighters out there you will find a lot to like about j stars victory. The arcade mode is hard, and the adventure mode is OK, but everything else is smooth. No characters are clones, and I don't see what other reviews are complaining about it being simple. There's a character that can heal himself, but if you keep missing attacks he'll get weaker. The 2 v 2 open arena battles don't seen crowded, but the versus split screen is too small, but I got used to it. Full Review »

Now I'mI want to start by saying that I'm an anime fan and have seen at least a few episodes of most of the animes represented in this game. Now I'm not much of a fighting game fan and I only bought this game because it was anime related and on sale for like $12 on PSN. How could I go wrong?

The truth is I wasn't wrong. This is a decent (albeit repetitive) game. I wasn't expecting much from this game but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Each character is unique and true to their anime counterparts in their attacks / special attacks. It'd be cool if they added in extra outfits for each character though rather than just having their original gear. There's a pretty decent number of stages ranging from large to small but none were necessarily great or all that terrible. There are also a lot of characters to choose from as well which is awesome.

This is definitely a fan service game for those of you that love both Shonen Jump animes / mangas and 3D fighting games. If like you like one (like me) or both then definitely check this game out as I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Especially for those of you that think your Shonen Jump character is better than all others but your friend thinks otherwise, then you can fight to prove it! For those that aren't complete fans of both though get it if it's cheap / on sale like I did. I wouldn't recommend buying it if it cost more than $25-$30 max if that's the case.

    6/10 for me
