Aug 23, 2016Like this delicate butterfly lost in vapors and cogs of LIMBO,
INSIDE is a state of grace.
An accomplishment.
Thank you Arnt Jensen, thank you Playdead. -

Apr 30, 2017This game is a worthy successor to Limbo (and may I say, a superior one) with its stunning visuals, dark, rich atmosphere, ambient music, smart puzzles, incredible attention to detail, its gripping story told without words, its perfect ending, and last but not least, its realistic animation.

Mar 30, 2017Great ambientation, like a indie game but so beautifull. Simple gameplay, but great. Maybe it's not too long for a game, but deserves a good score this one
-
May 10, 2019Another 10 for Playdead. I always tell people, if you've ever seen the movie "7", this game will remind you of it, because everything that happens is continually more and more shocking until the final mind-bending ending. This game is indescribable. If you haven't played it you are missing out on one of the greatest games of all time. Period.

Oct 11, 2016while i did like the game overall i still to this day do not understand what all the glowing reviews are for. to me in my eyes this game is just a good game, no where near GREAT and no where near wonderful, if i was you i wouldn't buy it for more than 10 dollars. its just not worth it and i just don't get what all the fuss is about over this nice but not wonderful game.

Aug 31, 2016This is truly a piece of art and one of my favourite games so far this year. Limbo was my first "indie game" back when it came out and this is a more than worthy successor. Inside's dark and creepy atmosphere and the great puzzles don't leave a lot to be asked for. Now I want to play limbo again.

Sep 21, 2016Exelent game experience but the ending was a little to pretentious maybe a more prolonged poetic clousure could have make of this a true mastertpice instead of the abrupt and simple metaphor that end my otherwise flawles adventure.
A terrific indi, not as good as soma but great nontheless . -
May 28, 2017Playdead have done an incredible job to surpass their previous game, Limbo. Inside is a true work of art, both disturbing and gripping in equal measure.

May 25, 2018People are so easy to manipulate. Mind-blowing ending, beautiful shades and great art-direction at all!
-
Dec 5, 2016Inside should just be called Limbo 2. It's an ok game but it seems the puzzles are easier than Limbo. It is a pretty short game also, l'm not sure why critics were giving this game a 10 as it's nothing special or amazing. It's a good indie puzzle game but that's it. Story is very abstract and l guess people can read into it what they want but I couldn't discern a coherent story.

Oct 3, 2018This is the best game of its genre, hands down. It doesn't technically deserve a 10, but since it's at least a 9 and the best of its genre, in a genre that is lately overdone, it must have a bonus. Definitely recommended to anyone liking some atmospheric platformer.

Dec 5, 2016If you're fast enough, you could beat this under 2 hours and get a refund for it on Steam. It would then be worth it for $0. For $20 it's a scam. The game is way too short.

Nov 12, 2016Worthy follow up to LIMBO. But inside is one of the first films to truly make me feel uncomfortable and more than a little depressed. I love to play it, but only for limited periods of time. Still, it's a huge success, great puzzles, gorgeous visuals, and a haunting sound design.
-
Feb 27, 2018Great game! The atmosphere, graphics, presentation are out of this world. Gameplay is great as well.
this game makes you want to play it. and you cant put it down till you passed it! One of the best 2D platforms I played! -

May 15, 2018Beautiful, haunting, expertly paced are all words to describe Inside. It's one of the darkest yet interesting games I've ever played. It honestly shook me by the end.
-
Oct 10, 2017This game is creepy horror done right. While there little to no jump scares, The game creepy atmosphere and graphics as well as the music keeps me intense though out the whole game. The game also loves foreshadow which add to the intensity. The controls are very simple and easy to get use too. The narrative is brilliant. Overall a game worth it's 20 dollar price tag.
-
Sep 9, 2016Inside is one of the best games I've played this year, and even has some replay value. 20$ is a perfect price for a game this fun and good looking, with an amazing story. (told through no words) The art in this game is stunning at times, and it's only "flaw", is that if you're looking for a very difficult puzzle game, this is not it. Highly, highly recommend.

Feb 9, 2017for me a masterpiece. This game is art. Its like playing a interactive theatre play. This game produced a kind of a mood like Michael Haneke or Lars von Trier movie on his on way.
-
Sep 4, 2018Amazing art and just overall style in this game, it was a joy to play through and there were a lot of super cool aspects to the game. I felt legitimately scared and tense at various points throughout the playthrough. The story was really interesting, and they did an amazing job of integrating the story with the gameplay.
-
Jun 23, 2018An excellent atmospheric, twisted, clever, affecting, piquant, surprising, vicious and fascinating game. As much fun in a group (passing the controller on when you die) as it is playing alone in the dark, it definitely needs to be played to the end. There's not much of it but it's as long as it needs to be.
-
Nov 14, 2018This game is absolutely fantastic! too short, but considering is made by a really tiny team ... I don't mind! I would love to play anything these people make!
-
Nov 14, 2018Inside is a game without voice acting, but the way they show you the story it's just amazing. I had an awesome time, some puzzles are quite easy, some of them took a while to figure out. A super positive game I totally recommend. If I had to mention something about it ... it would be the length.
-
Sep 2, 2022Fun indie title with fun puzzles and mechanics . Certainly an improvement from limbo.
-
Jan 1, 2017It was too short, but it was pretty great. It makes you think and still leaves you a bit confused. Good pacing, nice puzzles, and a good story despite zero dialogue. Another gem for sure.

Aug 10, 2017Quite simply a masterpiece. Every bit as good as Limbo and in some ways better.
Superb graphics, engaging gameplay, fiendish puzzles...
You could argue that the end is slightly weaker than the rest of the game, but I loved it from start to finish.
Roll on the next release from Playdead. -

Sep 10, 2016Absolutely amazing and well polished title from the beginning to the end. So far it is one of the best gaming experiences I've lived this year. This is a real game design and storytelling lesson that should be studied in game or movie schools.
Well played Playdead! -
Nov 18, 2020Most enjoyable game ~ I haven’t had so much fun since Breath of the Wild.
I finished the game in one sitting [circa 3 hours] and I urge you to treat yourself and try this game. -
Oct 21, 2019Really creative side scrolling indie. Similar to Limbo and Little Nightmares (although this was actually fun compared to LN). Good puzzle difficulty, not too easy but you still have to rack your brains sometimes. Would recommend

Oct 2, 2016A great game but the last 30 minutes and the ending killed it a little bit for me.
After realising that the whole journey represents the process of conception/birth it all start to make more sense, but still... -
Jan 5, 2021An incredibly creepy atmosphere with a compelling and intriguing story. There's so many interesting interpretations of what the game represents and it's fascinating to read.

Jul 24, 2020The game has flawless atmosphere and ambient, I was hoping for mindblowing finish and denounement after knowing the factory but unfortunately there was nothing like that. However apart from the ending it's a very unique fun to play game with great in game mechanics.

Sep 25, 2016I've been playing computer games since the 80's and Inside ranks very highly against all games from all era's. The style, mechanics, music, gameplay; everything about it is top notch, and the feeling of immersion is something quite special. The storyline and the world it plays out in is so compelling and thought provoking, it is truly a work of art. A genuine contender for best game of all time!
-
Mar 3, 2022beautiful and atmospheric 2D platformer. This is one of those games. I can't really explain because it's all about atmosphere and background storytelling so I wouldn't bother doing it. Just play it it's good.

Jan 24, 2017me encanto Inside juego corto y al grano con una historia que da que pensar a todo el que la finaliza, te deja con la boca abierta el final y las mecanicas del juego son basicas pero muy atractivas, una pasada de juego obra maestra

Feb 7, 2019Like Limbo, Inside is another disturbing and puzzling side-scroller from hell. If you're looking for a rewarding albeit short game to haunt your emotions and test your creativity, then this is a golden pick. I played this between Limbo and Little Nightmares, a sandwich of depressing stories that all work well together. If you like either of those games, give this one a shot too.

Sep 15, 2017Finally an old-school game that perfectly fit for modern players.
THe graphics is minimalistic, also the sounf but they reflect perfectly the dark atmosphere.
It's not a surprise that they tried to do a "demake" for commodore 64, for old players like me this is a gem of a game! -

Sep 15, 2016An awesome puzzle game with a fascinating style and a dark, but intriguing storyline. Fans of Limbo shouldn't hesitate.
