Another thing i don't like was the voice acting, i thing skullgirls had a decent voice acting, not sure what happened, but in this, i really don't feel the "acting", it's like they are just reading a script, i'm not an native english speaker, but i just didn't like it Expand

Good story. I especially like the dialogs. They are funny and with different tones. The graphics are very good. This is a side scrolling game with anime style graphics. The platform seems fine. A lot of dying because the difficult curve is bad. Some enemies are easy to beat, then a couple of scrolls later, the same one kills you easily. I don't like how you can take enemies by surprise (or not most of the time). It's clunky and hard to achieve. The combat system seems simple but you get the impression the enemies are much faster then you. There is no pause to initiate a special skill, that means you are always slow since the enemies doesn't seems to have that problem. Blocking didn't felt natural at all and didn't seem to always work. I give it 50%. Nice packaging, bad combat system. Expand

Im triying really hard to like this game, but im clocking 2,5 hours in and im already tired of the combat system, it feels really monotonous and unpulished. Second , i dont understand some comments saying that this is a METROIDVANIA, Did they eveng played a metroidvania before?, the game is ultra linear the sense of exploration is dim. I had high hopes for this game since it combined genres that I enjoy, but I was very disappointed in the end. While the combat seemed interesting at first, I found it extremely repetitive and boring after only a few hours. The RPG mechanics are very light and not well explained, so you never really feel like you are getting stronger. Battles always seem to take longer than they should, especially bosses, where it becomes more of a battle of attrition than anything. Platforming feels a bit off too with the momentum physics. Expand

Very bad and repetitive platforming, padded out gameplay full of button-mashing, and an unlikeable protagonist.

    Pros:
    Beautiful visuals.
Fun if not chaotic battle system. Cons: Story is poorly paced and written. Gameplay can become too frantic. Missing JRPG staples such as equipment. Plot moments make zero sense with zero context. Oh, how I wanted to love this game. I played the demo and enjoyed it so when I saw it on sale I figured it’d be a great throwback to Xenogears and Valkyrie

Oh, how I wanted to love this game. I played the demo and enjoyed it so when I saw it on sale I figured it’d be a great throwback to Xenogears and Valkyrie Profile. That was a mistake. The first major issue is the story. It has breakneck pacing. This isn’t always a bad thing, though. Here though it just makes no sense. There is barely any exposition and things just don’t make sense.

The combat is fun, but it is a bit too frantic. It can get really overwhelming once you have a full party.

The other major issue that didn’t work is the lack of equipment. Those are JRPG staples. Perhaps the studio ran out of money or was rushed but it was something I felt was needed to make this stand up to the other games it was based on.

All and all, it’s not the worst RPG on the PS4. If you can stand the nonsensical plot and too frantic of combat, it’ll probably be your thing. Anyone else? Play Ys VIII or something else instead.

After being in development for many years, Indivisible is finally here. The graphics and sound are superb, and it’s fun to play too. However, its difficulty will not be for everyone, and the otherwise high level of polish is undermined by a lot of bugs. Furthermore, it can be hard to resonate with the protagonist’s actions, which creates distance between the game and the player. That being said, the story development towards the end of the game will bring you back into the experience, resulting in a game that is worth playing.

I adore Indivisible. I enjoyed all of the characters, I appreciated how the story made Ajna reconcile with her choices, and as a fighting game player I loved the style of combat. Even though some of the hiccups had me muttering unkind words, Indivisible still sits with me as one of my favorites of 2019.

Indivisible is a rare game that can rise above so many things not coming together, and whether you decide to dive in now with all its faults or wait another year for the ongoing polishing efforts to pay off, it will deliver a fantastic adventure that should easily stay with you long past the final closing credits.
