Some minor iffy moments aside, How We Soar is a beautifully relaxing game, with tight presentation and some sound controls. A lovely concept that's really well executed, this is another wonderful example of why virtual reality gaming represents the way forward, and you should certainly check it out if you haven't done so already.

How We Soar is greater than the sum of its parts and is an incredible experience that should be played by all PlayStation VR owners. Its core formula can get old, but what’s here is executed quite well. More variety would have been nice, though, while some kind of sense of peril would have heightened the stakes. Fortunately, How We Soar excels as a game that allows you to both have fun and relax at the same time.

While the story is serviceable as a backdrop, it’s actually the environments that steal the show. Gliding around and exploring the levels is relaxing for the most part, apart from a couple of moments of disorientation. The artwork throughout is sublime and the music fits it all perfectly, though it sits along titles like Bound, where the art and experience also outshine the plot. If you have a PSVR and are keen to play something that doesn’t take too much effort while providing some great visuals then How We Soar is a worthy pick.

Bolstering the ever increasing ranks of PSVR efforts that place a premium on calm and relaxation over challenge and depth, How We Soar is a charming title that embraces calming spectacle over mechanical ambition.

I'm really impressed by this game - it will appeal to those who loved Journey and also reminds me a little of the game Flowers. But onI'm really impressed by this game - it will appeal to those who loved Journey and also reminds me a little of the game Flowers. But on steroids! It is the best thing I have played on PS VR so far and is a real relaxing escape. The artwork is superb, the flight controls are intuitive and the game itself leaves me wanting to see what is in the next book. The game does not really tell you how to unlock each book but it it simply a matter of learning a simple and very natural sequence and in no time at all it becomes second nature. This is not a fast paced game for those that like to slash and kill, but a beautiful artistic and relaxing adventure for those who like that sort of thing. It is one of the few games that I would say is probably priced too low! The immersion level is excellent - if you want a place to hide from the world for a while, this is it! Full Review »

Very beautiful to soar in the sky for a little while and I recommend doing that for a bit and checking it out. At the right price pick it up but realize you won't be playing this long. Full Review »
