    Horizon Zero Dawn is a game which I put myself off playing for a very long time, the game came out almost 5 years ago as I am writing this review and the new Horizon II Forbidden West is dropping in just 3 weeks time.

    The game feels fun and enjoyable but it does have its flaws and show some signs of age even though it is a spectacular game, I feel the story was fairly good but a little    Horizon Zero Dawn is a game which I put myself off playing for a very long time, the game came out almost 5 years ago as I am writing this review and the new Horizon II Forbidden West is dropping in just 3 weeks time.

    The game feels fun and enjoyable but it does have its flaws and show some signs of age even though it is a spectacular game, I feel the story was fairly good but a little bit shorter then I hoped, the combat felt smooth I mainly used the bow and arrow and enjoyed every second, the other weapons were good too however I didn't really use them as much as I might have liked.

    The selection of weaponry you have is satisfactory along with the heavy weapons you can pick up from enemies that add to the list of fun and enjoyable ways to take down human or machine enemies.

    The world of Horizon Zero Dawn is both beautiful and massive although I did wish exploration was a bigger focus, fast travel made this habit redundant at times and the quite frankly poor climbing really killed the vibe at times (a lot of these issues look to be fixed in Forbidden West).

    Overall Horizon Zero Dawn is a must play game if you want something fairly unique and different, I just hope the sequel lives up to it's billing and is a knockout hit for the playstation 5    … Expand

    One of the best games gameplay-wise. Graphics are amazing, quests are fun, just running around and exploring and fighting is also great fun. Animations and voice acting are sometimes little janky.

    Great game. The story is captivating, the gameplay is pretty sweet - nice progression pace. Sure I'm only playing it now in 2020 for the first time but for the moment I haven't noticed any performance issues or bugs. Overall a great title - 10/10

    I have nothing to say perfect on PS4, better on PS4PRO in 4K much better on PC again in 4K with HDR, THIS IS MASTERPIECE, i cant wait for Forbidden West, but i hope for ONE PS5 in some store for me :) Mega fun, and re-playing game still fun. Very nice world, enemies, combat style. This game wil be fun for many years. I enjoy back the game

    Horizon zero dawn and is one of the best game available on ps4, gameplay an amazing action open world game with some rpg elements. Beautiful graphic and gameplay, and waiting for the sequel on ps4 and ps5.

    I've heard that videogames cannot elicit the same range or depth of emotion as other forms of media, such as music or film. HZD proves that wrong. This game is brilliant and phenomenal on so many levels. The originality of its concept alone is captivating. Ironically, I find the voice actress for Aloy the weakest aspect. I say "ironically" because she voices one of the strongestI've heard that videogames cannot elicit the same range or depth of emotion as other forms of media, such as music or film.     Normally post-apocalyptic games do not resonate well with me, but Horizon handles the journey in such a beautiful way you're often filled with a feeling of curiosity and hope above all else. A vibrant world filled with strange machines, a curious mystery of how it all came to be, and a lovable main character alongside you to experience the journey. The gameplay is equally addictive as youNormally post-apocalyptic games do not resonate well with me, but Horizon handles the journey in such a beautiful way you're often filled with a feeling of curiosity and hope above all else. A vibrant world filled with strange machines, a curious mystery of how it all came to be, and a lovable main character alongside you to experience the journey. The gameplay is equally addictive as you hunt giant machines in a more fun and complex way than Monster Hunter or other similar titles, strategizing and equipping yourself as you see fit to take on these monstrosities and feeling really good as you take them down. This game rewards nearly every action you make from hunting, gathering, and doing the side quests that reward you with both good rewards and story value content. With such a fantastic formula and gameplay loop you can spend as much or as little time as you want playing, and it always feels good no matter which you choose.
    A lot of love went into this game and it really shows at every twist and turn. It's clear the developers wanted their players to enjoy playing it as much as they loved making it, and it nearly hits the mark of perfection as a result. I am glad I played it right before the release of the sequel due to the semi-cliffhanger ending, and I find myself legitimately excited to play the sequel in only a couple of weeks. If you haven't played this game yet do not let it slip your mind as this is a game any Playstation 4 or 5 owner should definitely experience. Aloy has earned her spot as one of Playstation's mascots, because if any game should define a beautiful game that only Playstation Studios can make, it's Horizon Zero Dawn.    … Expand

    Прокачка оружия и персонажа тоже сходна с оной в Far Cry 3, 4 и 5. К стати про оружие, его в игре невероятно много. Оно правда архаичное, но со всякими кибернетическими прибамбасами. И, что самое главное, всё оружие будет востребовано до конца игры.
    О сюжете. Он мне в принципе понравился. Запоминающиеся персонажи, есть тайны, есть и предательство. Но есть какая то недосказанность что ли.
    Теперь про внешний вид. Ну здесь думаю вопросов быть не может, он великолепен. Джунгли, города, но больше всего конечно порадовали машины. Роботов какое то невероятное количество, они красивые, брутальные, каждый со своим подходом. Очень понравились такие роботы-брахиозавры, они очень высокие, огромные, их видно из далека. Они представляют собой эдакие ходячие вышки из Far Cry. Немного огорчили враги люди, просто меркнут на фоне роботов. Так же мне не очень понравилась мимика людей.
    Порадовала боевая система, такая смесь Enslaved и Assassin’s Creed.
    В общем игра классная. Есть небольшие недостатки, на пример однообразные захваты поселений людей, на мой взгляд геймплей с людьми наиболее слабое место игры. Но плюсов у Horizon Zero Dawn в разы больше к ним можно прибавить и неповторимую атмосферу игры.
    Скоро выходит сиквел с подзаголовком Forbidden West, это повод освежить воспоминания и пройти игру ещё разок.    … Expand

    Probably the game that has the most amazing graphics so far! It's a total immersive world! The characters are amazing and Aloy is a stunning brave young woman that isn't out of a cliche female character type. The story is also great! The gameplay is just so well designed and offers you a ton of possibilities for what you wish to fight with.     The BEST game I have ever played. So interesting story, characters, locations, just everything. I love how It's different than other big RPG games and how It goes in It's own path. Really recommend to everyone.

    Muy bueno en todos sus apartados, gráficamente espectacular para tratarse de un juego de 2017 (lo he jugado ahora en 2022) y un Gameplay muy divertido. Una buena historia y una dificultad muy ajustada redondean un juego excelente.

    I bought this game in 2019 but never played through it cause I had many other games at that time, fast forward to 2022 and i decided to complete it so I could get ready for forbidden West and omg i was blown away even though the game is 5 years old it did not age one bit, you could see the love and the attention to detail at every corner. Please do yourself a favor and play this game.

    Horizon Zero Dawn was a surprise for me. When I played I didn't think it would be a great game but the narrative caught me and made me love and be passionate about the history of the game. Incredible gameplay.

Действия Horizon Zero Dawn происходятЛюблю я, знаете ли, все эти постапокаллиптические картины мира, тем более если эти самые картины получаются хоть сколько-нибудь оригинальными со своими яркими колоритными особенностями. Рассвет нулевого горизонта (хех) от голландской Guerrilla Games получилась как раз-таки из того самого разряда игр, о которых хочется говорить и приводить их в пример. Действия Horizon Zero Dawn происходят на территории бывших США в далеком будущем спустя много веков после неизвестной катастрофы, которая надолго откатила в развитии человечество, да и количество его так значительно подсократила. Нынешние же редкие племена людей, населяющие эти места, погрязли в междуусобицах и вынуждены влачить нелегкое существование в постоянных смертельно опасных стычках с агрессивными машинами. Машины эти как правило предстают пред нашим взором в знакомой форме животных или доисторических динозавров с хромированным блеском и в ореоле синего света — захватывающе! Природа дышит полной грудью, картины пышных лесов и цветочных полей перемежаются с монструозными останками машин и развалинами давно отгремевшей войны. Такой постапокалипсис и его обитатели очаровывают и восхищают. Положение дел на планете таково, что именно машины не человек являются ее хозяева. И вот наша рыжая смелая девчонка Элой, до наступления совершеннолетия пребывающая в изгнании вместе с ее наставником Растом, решается изменить ход событий и расстановку сил. Помогает ей в этом визор, найденный случайным образом после того как она еще совсем юной провалилась в глубокую яму, которая привела ее к древнейшему строению предтеч с куда более совершенными технологиями нежели у того же племени Нора, застрявшего в еще первобытных временах, откуда собственно и была изгнана наша героиня. Визор дает Элой всевозможную наглядную цифровую информацию по окружающему миру, происходящих в нем событиях и населяющих ее машинах, об их слабых местах, наличии брони и главном их оружии. Благодаря этому волшебному девайсу ну и конечно же усиленным тренировкам с наставником наша протагонистка становится к совершеннолетию просто исключительным охотником на машин и прекрасным следопытом. Задача вселенского масштаба в игре выяснить как человечество дошло до жизни такой, узнать причину появления машин ну и конечно же немного о себе. История Horizon весьма массивная и местами занимательная. Примерно на экваторе сюжетных перипетий потихоньку начали скучать, уж больно томная размеренная подача с растягиванием «интриги» до самых до окраин. Финальной битве той же с Аидом определенно не хватило эпичности и грандиозности что ли, какая-то она будничная получилась. Могли бы какого-нибудь нового невиданного монстра впихнуть, Мега-Громозева например.… Expand

    Я проходил эту игру на пк и да, были проблемы с корявым портом, но все это нивелируется достоинствами игры:

    Каждая секунда, проведенная в игре доставляет удовольствие, игру хочется исследовать. У нее продуманные и проработанные активности, например в начале игры тебе показывают механику приручения машин-ты сразу это пробуешь, но ты не можешь укротить все существующие машины, тебе нужно зачистить котел, что можно сделать по стелсу, а что можно сделать с боем. Первый котел ты зачищаешь и это то еще зрелище, ты еще ко второму котлу, там все тоже самое, когда тебе хочется зачистить следующий котел, ты идешь туда с мыслями: опять тоже самое, но нет, тебя встречают там бойцы затмения и этот котел оказывается обжитым, получается что ты сражаешься уже не с машинами, а с людьми. И это лишь один пример продуманности.
    Так же не могу не рассказать про то, что игра безумно красивая, свет и цвета подобраны филигранно, что уж говорить, если я каждые 200 метров делал скриншоты через классный фоторежим.
    В некоторых играх, чтобы узнать больше о мире(А мир в этой игре безумно интересный, как я уже говорил), нужно выполнять побочки, что-то исследовать и это не всегда интересно. В этой же каждый вопрос, который у тебя возникает в голове при прохождении сюжета объясняется, а если тебе хочется узнать еще больше, то всегда пожалуйста-исследуй. С самого начала игры и до самого конца у тебя есть интерес в это играть. Интриг хоть отбавляй, да и неожиданных сюжетных поворотов хватает. Отдельно отмечу режиссуру катсцен: поставленные катсцены и синематики просто прекрасны.
    Если у вас есть свободное время на игру или вы просто хотите с удовольствием провести время, то советую присмотреться к этой игре.    … Expand

    игра зашла мне не только графикой и прорисовкой на и сюжетом , такого сюжета с интригами не встречал давно уже , игру прощёл 2 раза от начала и до конца , дополнение показалось более интересным , советую пройти игру всем !!

    This game isn't without controversy, though, unfortunately. Any game with a woman as the protagonist gets slammed by immature fans, and this game wasn't an exception. Add to that by not giving the main character sexy clothes to wear, and some people were angry    I'd like to start the review of this game by saying that Horizon: Zero Dawn is one of the best games I've ever played. Period.

Add to that by not giving the main character sexy clothes to wear, and some people were angry at the game for not being what they wanted it to be.

    Graphically, HZD is beautiful. Photo mode can be abused to the full extent. The game features many areas that are so scenic and picturesque, that I was stopping a lot to admire and line up a good shot with the camera. What really shines in this game are the lighting and physicality of the environments. Rock formations can be destroyed, trees can be toppled and burned down, and fields can be trampled. The detail of the game world is amazing and a ton of fun to interact with.

    The gameplay of HZD is polished, easy to control, and rewarding to master. Movement and climbing feels seamless and just the right speeds, using the bow feels balanced and precise, melee combat can get a little funky, with the main character (Aloy) sometimes being pulled in to attack the closest enemy, so your plan of attack in melee might be overridden by the game forcing Aloy to attack whatever is nearest her. The enemies you face in HZD are varied, and require quick thinking and strategy to take down. The challenges in combat never get boring because the game refreshes you with a deep pool of opponents. Interacting with the game world via combat feels so fun. Using the environment to your advantage in stealth and open combat feels incredibly tactical and rewarding, and the game gives you ample opportunity to outwit and out maneuver your enemies. The difficulty of combat is determined by how you choose to play in any given scenario, and adapting to what the game gives you is paid back in spades with satisfying action.

    The story of Horizon: Zero Dawn (which I will not spoil here) is deeply, and movingly detailed. There is so much lore you can pick up by being curious and scanning environments, and having long chats with side characters. The cultures built within the game are so fun to immerse yourself in, and so cool to delve into the secrets of. The game offers choices, but overall, the story is linear with several consequences peppered in for how you choose to resolve certain things.
    The dialogue feels natural and meaningful to each character. A certain faction is very religious and exudes a 'holier than thou' attitude that is reflected in many of their conversations. Another faction is rough and blustering, and the characters speak with that aura. The conversations you have feel very authentic, and are acted very, very well by each artist voicing them.
    HZD's story has many twists, and although you can sometimes feel overwhelmed by the weight the game brings upon you, Aloy's determination and level headedness bleeds out to quell the tide of all the drama brought on by the game's events.

    HZD's music gives even more life to a rich atmosphere. Each area's unique qualities are enhanced by the music heard while in them. The game makes good use of silence, and uses its music to enhance not just the open world, but the tonal shifts in the game's story as well.

    Overall, Horizon: Zero Dawn is a deeply pleasing game that is hard to put down. Every part of it works so well with the others to create a very complete and fun experience.    … Expand

    One of my favorite games in the past years. The unique setting, the way the plot unfolds and the great combat are some of the best that gaming has to offer. The only minor flaws are weak characterization for side characters and not so great world-building.

    Horizon Zero Dawn is an excellent game with a great story and it is full of interesting characters. The combat mechanics against the robot dinosaurs are really engaging. Even the most basic enemies require the player to think about each engagement strategically. The world is also very beautiful. The lighting in particular really stood out to me.     I can not recall another game that I accidently found myself exploring the world for literally hours. Platinumed the game when it came out on ps4, went back on ps5 after the performance update and fell back in love with the game and completed it on new game +. Looking forward to the next Horizon game.

It has fun and often challenging combat, a great art style, a beautiful world with different biomes to explore, fantastic presentation, an interesting story to see unfold, and a very good score to listen to while you play. Half a point off because it could use better facial animations/lip sync, but it's just during cut scenes and it doesn't ruin gameplay. I highly recommend this game.

Um jogo exemplar com uma jogabilidade perfeita e viciante, com variedades de inimigos, combates e armas que fazem nunca se tornar genérico ou repetitivo, além desses gráficos e cenários ricos em detalhes que fazem qualquer um com olhos perceber que é um dos jogos mais bonitos de todos os tempos.     But if there's something where the game excels, that's the story. A brave and risky bet that works perfectly, creating a world that is mysterious at first but where everything makes sense at the end, linking every single detail with ease. The depth of the story, not only related to the main character but to the whole world, the secondaries, the perfect rythm that the game has to keep dropping hints and new info about everything, it's just amazing.
    Negatives? It's hard to find any, one being for me the huge potential of the story to create a way, way bigger game that makes this look kinda short. It is not, probably regular duration if we forget about The Witcher and similars, but it is so good that makes you wonder how many extra content could be made. That question is easily answered though, the second part is coming and probably will be more, so better bussiness to extend it withing a few games.
    The other negative I can think of are the weapons. They don't change much and you can get the best equipment fairly easy. The lack of upgrades in the spear, being the main weapon/tool is a bit dissapointing as well. This point might be the easier to improve.
    Anyways, you have to look hard to reason why it doesn't deserve a 10, really good game.    … Expand

Strategies for different enemies kept it interesting. Similar varied combat strategies to a Witcher 3. Although I love Witcher 3, I would say Horizon Zero Dawn has better controls! No need to adjust sensitivity or button layout. Menu and quick controls make it easy to adjust during combat. The menu and controls is where this game shines! Although I have not played the additional DLC and have already completed the game, I am going back to play it through again from the beginning to check it out and also get prepared for the new Horizon forbidden west. I have seen other reviews that say this game does nothing new and although I somewhat agree, it takes what works in some of the great games we all loved and slaps them into a new beautiful world with robot dinosaurs and an interesting story with great controls! Is that bad? Let’s face it, all games use targeting from Zelda that came out back with the N64! If it works, and it feels right… then it is good! If u like big open world games, great graphics, straightforward crafting, great controls and 30plus hours of gameplay than pick it up! I did and it has been an exclusive that keeps me owning a PlayStation! There are certain Must have Exclusive PlayStation games, Horizon Zero Dawn should be in there with Last of Us, and Uncharted

    First open world game I played after many many years without a console, and it blew my mind. Loved the story, and really cared about the characters. The world is also really cool and epic.

    I couldn’t get enough of it. Horizon and Witcher 3 are the only open world games I feel I really completed.

    I'm gonna be honest here, this game didn't grab me first time round, mainly because I got it from a ps4 bundle. Dropped the game for a few months, then came back to have my mind blown. One of my all time favorites. Must play just for the gameplay and intruige.

    This is my favorite game of all time the first game i bought It has the best graphics of any game I know about or play, story is very good and much better than I anticipated, machine are innovative(sometimes basic machines like watcher are fun to kill when one-shot-ted in the eye) and collectibles are personally liked by me. It has some problem though like climbing isn't fluid.

    The story is heartfelt and unfolds well as you progress and will keep you interested throughout your 30 to 40 hours + of gameplay. I literally had to stop myself to go eat and walk the dogs it is that addictive! Toilet breaks be damned too!

    Combat is both fun and fluid which is rare in gaming these days. If you own a PS4 Pro you will be treated to an even better experience. Truly some of the best combat mechanics in any game of this genre I've played and I've played most of them. Similar to The Witcher 3 and Tomb Raider combined. Very well done Guerrilla.

    Do yourself a favor and pick this gem up especially now when it is half price. It is a modern classic that I hope will become a franchise so the developers cam improve the experience even more!

    I won't give it a 10 because there are very few games that would deserve this except for Bloodborne and possibly Skyrim (at the time). Although The Witcher 3 gets pretty damn close. This one ain't far behind!    … Expand

    But I did not particularly like the fact that some tasks are of the same type and tend to: Turn on the visor, find traces, follow the tracks

    Excelente juego, uno de los mejores que eh jugado en PS4.

    La jugabilidad es lo que mas me gusto, el combate, las armas, el sistema de progreso es muy simple pero lo suficiente para que no sea complicado ni molesto. El mapa es enorme con muchas cosas para descubrir, misiones para hacer y zonas por desbloquear, tambien es muy bueno para las fotos ya que los graficos que tiene son    Excelente juego, uno de los mejores que eh jugado en PS4.

    La historia esta muy buena, es realmente lo que menos me gusto del juego pero no por que sea mala, si no porque es lo menos bueno que tiene. Me pierdo un poco con tantos clanes, tribus o facciones que tiene.

    Otra cosa que no me gusto de este juego son las expresiones faciales de las conversaciones, esta bien, son millones de conversaciones que podemos tener a lo largo del juego, es logico que iban a ser a mano, como en cualquier juego de mundo abierto pero hubiera estado bueno que sean mejor trabajadas. Despues en las cinematicas, son perfectas, ahi si que no tengo ningun problema.    … Expand

    The unfortunate fact of Horizon is that most of what it does well, other games have done better, and they did it with a compelling who and where. This is the game you play after you’ve finished The Witcher 3, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and Far Cry: Primal. It is the greatest hits compilation of open-world games. Yeah, sure, you might want to own it, but the real connoisseur has the original albums.

    Horizon Zero Dawn has an unforgettable protagonist, world, story, visuals, soundtrack and gameplay. Due to minor issues with inventory management and quest selection, I cannot call it perfect but I can say it is absolutely worth your time.
