The game is pretty fun but extremely unstable on PS4. It crashes constantly when transitioning to the main menu after completing a world tour race. At one point a crash corrupted my save data to a point where the game kept crashing on boot, forcing me to delete my save data and lose 4 hours of progress.

If it weren't for the constant crashes I would give the game a solid 7/10 but really

It's an okay game, I get that some people play it just for the nostalgia but it doesn't do it for me.

I would be hesitant to even call this a game as every race is entirely scripted. If you're doing too good, the game will break its own rules to force you back. It's a racing game that punishes anyone for going fast.

I really was not expecting this. Can this even be called a racing game? I get the nostalgia but I really cannot have fun playing this game.

When playing Horizon Chase Turbo for a couple of hours, it is more than fair to say that this game is what it wants to be, that is, a tribute to the driving arcades of the 90s. With simple but effective controls. We are facing a racing game for those who are not looking for a simulator, but rather a title where fun is what prevails.

Horizon Chase Turbo may occasionally be infuriating, but it’s a whole lot of fun much more frequently. If you’ve ever yearned for an arcade racer that genuinely feels like it comes from the early days of home consoles, you should most definitely check this one out.

I had a hell of a time with Horizon Chase Turbo. Of all of the retro revival games that have come out over the past few years, it is near the top of my personal list of favourites. I can’t get enough of it.
