Short but sweet. You can roughly beat this game in 2HRS. So a sitting. The story has to be good here with barely any interaction, and I am happy to say it is. The story is engaging, but it can be better. The game isn't as good as Until Dawn, but I think this does have a audience. But I do feel this is gonna get heavy riducled with "this isn't a game, it's a movie" and I am usually one ofShort but sweet. You can roughly beat this game in 2HRS. So a sitting. The game is fun and is meant to play multiple times to get all the different storylines, so you can probably get about 5HRS or so in this. The writing is really goo d and the voice acting is good for the most part, except for some lines here and there were a little off. The addition to the party system is really cool, but I don't think a lot of people will really do t his and the multiplayer component is pretty cool as well. But all in all if you like the interactive games you will find enjoyment out of this. Expand

Para os amantes do gênero suspense, Hidden Agenda é indispensável! Gráficos impecáveis, história envolvente e uma ótima dublagem. I must praise this game despite the clunky mobile controls and underwhelming graphics. The player is given many options that aren't always readily apparent which is best course to match the ultimate ending you may be trying to achieve. The diverging stories seem to be way more numerous than Until Dawn. Some story lines feel more fleshed out than others and some jumps from scene to scene feel more or less natural than a full price game should feel which sometimes feel as characters make radical jumps in logic that won't be clear till a 2nd or 3rd play but with 2 plays as of this review their are radically different directions the story may go. This is a highly entertaining narrative while not the most original plot... I have to question why the devs didn't make this a full length game as it would have been labeled best of the year however the short length is sure to keep this title from getting the AAA attention it deserves. O jogo é divertido quando você junta uma galera, lembrando que você pode usar seu smartphone se você gostou do Until dawn é uma boa pedida já que é no mesmo clima.

The animations are superb and the story is very well planned. however, the endings besides the main ending seem very premature and some times the game is over without any sign and many questions remain unanswered. It is very painful that you are unable to continue your story via chapter selection.

Really enjoyed playing through with other people. That's the key, you need other people to enjoy it to the fullest. It's innovative. The story kept us all guessing until the end. Sure, it's terrible compared to a TV show or movie in terms of pacing, plotlines, plotholes and a rushed ending, but the interactivity pulls you along.

It's fun, obviously meant to be played with friends. Arguing about the choices and tricking others is much more fun than the actual gameplay, and clearly the game is built that way. Finally, party games are coming back!

+ Considering how cheaply this is sold for it's brilliant. What a bargain!!
+ The story is very good and well acted.
+ The game is very beautiful.
+/- The game is very much like an interactive movie.
    - You have to use your phone, even when playing it alone.

Short but catchy, graphics look good and the story keeps you wanting more, phone controllers is a good idea but it shouldn't be the only choice of controllers. Other than that it is all good.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

I have played many games in this genre (cinematic/choice driven games) and Hidden Agenda does the best job out of any game with story layout and choices. The details and the small dialogue options really matter, not in stupid, unforeseen ways but in ways that actually make sense. The details and the small dialogue options really matter, not in stupid, unforeseen ways but in ways that actually make sense. It was innovative and genius to add a cooperative or competitive element to this type of game play and I really hope we see more of this in the future. Hidden Agenda really brings a social element into play by asking teammates to pick: "who is the most observant among you?" and then forcing that person to make a decision alone that hinges upon how observant they actually are. On the first playthrough, the story may seem rushed at times, but this is something you are grateful for on subsequent playthroughs. The story sticks to what is necessary for the plot and really cuts down on any narrative overtones or bridges. Despite this, they do a good job at creating some pretty fleshed out characters in such a short time.
The graphics, length (about 1.5 hours per play through with high replay-ability), and audio weren't phenomenal compared to other similar titles, but they far exceeded my expectations at a 20 dollar price.
Overall, Hidden Agenda is a great game to play with friends and family regardless of whether or not they are gamers. I believe anyone would enjoy this game. The game is also fun to play alone, but it looses several of it's most interesting mechanics so I certainly recommend playing it with others.

The competitive mode is fine, but the rest of the game is not. It’s short (no unnecessary background-building scenes whatsoever), the characters are just shallow cut-outs, the choices seem meaningless and on top of all I experienced some technical issues. [01/2018, p.64]

Hidden Agenda is great if you want to have a special 'movie night' with friends, filled with discussions about what the next step should be.

As I said up top, there are certainly reasons to be wary of Hidden Agenda. It’s hard not to search a crime scene for clues with your unresponsive PlayLink app and come away wishing that you were just using a plain controller. But that’s more than outweighed by the fact that the game also does a better job of capturing what makes mystery novels so compelling than nearly anything else I’ve ever played. Hidden Agenda may not be perfect, but it knows how to keep you hooked right to the very end.
