    Guilty Gear has always been (and still is) a pretty-looking, niche series. Xrd expounds upon that tendency, eschewing nostalgia in favor of profound iteration that will likely only register to the niche-loyal.

    Technically impressive, Guilty Gear Xrd baffles a bit with its design. The roster only presents 14 characters and most of them don't have the wildness of precedent episodes. Nonetheless, thanks to its deep gameplay and perfect online services, it stands as a very good VS Fighting candidate.

    For all its good looks, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is ultimately disappointing. What the game does, it does very well, but the sum total feels lacking.
