    Unbelievable how greedy PD got. Maybe they love cars but money they love more. Go sell this game in russia but not in civilzed countrys!

    After a solid start, while almost finishing the whole campaign (menu books), I realized that rolling starts from the back of the pack without any chance of qualifying aren't real racing like. The payouts for the races were ok offline, but after spending about 400k on a r32 skyline to be competitive in sport mode (online), and getting 18k as payout for first place I feel robbed.
    They nerfed    After a solid start, while almost finishing the whole campaign (menu books), I realized that rolling starts from the back of the pack without any chance of qualifying aren't real racing like. The payouts for the races were ok offline, but after spending about 400k on a r32 skyline to be competitive in sport mode (online), and getting 18k as payout for first place I feel robbed.
    They nerfed other races payouts in single player mode with the idea of pushing the player towards microtransactions... The option is always given, right under the payout screen.
    Since yesterdays update I'm not able to access the game anymore, because you are forced to have internet and a connection to the servers all the time. Which is absolutely nuts and reminds me of the NEED FOR SPEED from 2015, and EA learned from that, apparently. PD is 7 years late like the internet explorer and forces it's players to be constantly connected to the playstation network and their servers. Very customer friendly.
    If you're thinking of buying the game. Get the PCSX2 emulator and a copy of gran turismo 4, and you'll get a finished game which you're surely be happy with. And the crash mechanics are the same btw. For both titles. Or you can get your hands on Forza and not be forced to spend extra cash after buying the initial game for 80€...

    Maybe they will fix it, but I'm really disappointed for a legacy title, especially from a Sony "first hand" developer. Shame on you PolyPHONY Digital. Shame on the gaming industry and their constant push for micro transactions.    … Expand

    I payed this game 70€ and I cannot to play because the maintenance during since 24 hours.
    The economic model is so poor. One hour in game, I win 50 000 credits only. But there's around 430 cars and cost very, very, veeery expensive ( I want to buy a car but it's 1 200 000... and this not the more expensive)

    As a faithful and old player of the GT games since GT2, I canno't accept the greedy and utterly counterproductive move made by Polyphony and Sony with the 1.07 update. Indeed, they have largely reduced the credits earned per race and it becomes ridiculously long and time-consuming, needless to say also ultra boring to earn new credits to buy new cars. Other modes than the solo mode are notAs a faithful and old player of the GT games since GT2, I canno't accept the greedy and utterly counterproductive move made by Polyphony and Sony with the 1.07 update. Indeed, they have largely reduced the credits earned per race and it becomes ridiculously long and time-consuming, needless to say also ultra boring to earn new credits to buy new cars. Other modes than the solo mode are not rewarding at all, and the utmost shame is that a lot of cars are very expensive, some of them costing the equivalent of +30h of farming in terrible conditions. There are +400 cars in the game, and what we want as players is to be able to earn new cars at a regular pace to enjoy them, and not to have to wait 5 years before buying thisbeloved and long-desired 12m Jaguar.

    Polyphony created at the last minute before the release of the game extremely unaffordable MTs in prevision of such moves, and as of now you may spend 120e of real money just to buy ONE car if you cannot farm. This is absolutely unacceptable because we do not want to pay 1000 euros a full game, but not to be deceived by a game maker that already sells its game 80e. The endless maintenance today also proves that the compulsory online servers to play the solo was a bad idea and destroys the gaming experience for which we had very high expectations, considering the prestige of the games, and their past mistakes.

    It seems that Kazunogain and his teams don't learn ! The game is failing on some parts but stays a pretty good game who deserve a grade between 7 and 9, it is too bad to waste such an experience with bad decisions and treacherous MTs.

    If the policy regarding the reduction of credits flips back, I will reconsider my grade and will eventually regrade the game by a 7+.

    We'll be a lot to do that, so please hear us ! It's a massive and collective complaint (just check Reddit, Twitter, GTPlanet).

    Microtransaction fest, horrible single player campaign, servers go down as much as 48 hours, ALWAYS online bs, 40$ for some cars, poor selection of races, no endurance... what a piece of sh... DONT BUY!!!

    The worst part is......we cannot even play on solo mode, as the login servers are down.     Casino racing game. They just nerfed most in-game currency earnings in order to push microtransactions. They did this in patch 1.07 precisely 2 weeks after release which is Sony’s threshold for refunding a game.

    Shameful economic system, you pay 69€ for a game but inside it's like a free2play.The rewards are ridiculous, this to push the player to use real money ... on a game already purchased. Lottery rewards are totally ridiculous, unbelievable to give us such low rewards! Also, unable to play the single player game during maintenances, this is not normal, we should be able to play the gameShameful economic system, you pay 69€ for a game but inside it's like a free2play.The rewards are ridiculous, this to push the player to use real money ... on a game already purchased. Lottery rewards are totally ridiculous, unbelievable to give us such low rewards! Also, unable to play the single player game during maintenances, this is not normal, we should be able to play the game offline. Otherwise I rest of the game is pretty good, but the experience is totally ruined by the greedy and vicious economy.     It’s embarrassing to sell a stand alone game with career unplayable offline: not everyone can/wants to play online so how to justify his purchase?
    No real step ahead after 25 years, this is definitely the worst Gran Turismo I ever seen.

    This is a warning. Don’t buy this game! They cut the credit reward to push miroctransaction. Extremely high price for a single car, alleged by the developer as being “real”. You should not pay $60 for a pay-to-play game! Sony should be punished by their greedy move.

    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

    BUT this is to much now. I quite! The buyer does not OWN the game anymore!!! This "buy everything as a service" and    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

    BUT this is to much now. I quite! The buyer does not OWN the game anymore!!! This "buy everything as a service" and "you will own nothing and be happy"-mentality we are drifting into as a world wide society is going crazy! Mad crazy! And people are slowly but way to late starting to not take it anymore.

    1. I pay a full game price for offline singleplayer experience and still get forced to be online 24/7 for 90%+ of the game contents. I know tracking and data collecting means $$$ but come on! Thats shady and criminal!

    2. Earning money to buy the cars is made artificially harder due to up to -50% lower in-game price money. In-game purchases is what we are bullied into. Micro transactions my ass! This is god damn gran turismo not some scum ebay offering.

    3. We cant sell/trade/share cars as it used to be to get money or just as a present for friends and family. How more unsocial can it get?

    All these marketing tricks and false shady communication to reduce "cheating". Boy does your PR spin doctor maybe suffer from alzheimer? Me and millions of other players and fans of the series are done with this until this is changed.

    P.S.: Oh and how dare you to not put back Monaco / Côte d'Azur track after almost 10 years since it was gone?    … Expand

    The game freezes on PS4, does not work without online, microtransactions and "thanks" to Sony for putting Kazakhstan in the same region with Russia and blocking it!!!

    Always Online sperrt nicht nur Chester aus sondern alle anderen auch. Seit mehr als 24 Stunden unspielbar und vom Entwickler gibt es auch keine News. Also weg mit Always Online.

    Absurd decision from polyphony what the heck? This game cost 100 dollars+ and you can't play for what you grinded for offline? You cant do nothing?? this is a gran turismo not The Crew!! Also what with the nerfing too is that what this series has become ? I'm going back to forza.

    Online connection is a bad, really bad things especially with unplayable single player when servers blow up.... Today is may second day when I can only watch on my beatiful PlayStation box of phisically copy of Gran Turismo 7... the most expensive box ... It's really sad.

El juego tiene buenos gráficos, pero falta la mitad del juego, el juego termina en los gr2, además de que tiene 400 coches que no puedes comprar a no ser que juegues 3 años sin parar por los pocos créditos que dan por carrera, y lo peor de todo es que no puedes jugar si no estás en línea, Cosa que no pone en ningún lado, un timo, espero que se recompense el que el sistema lleve un día y medio caido… Expand

    Just a complete waste of money, i took the week off to play it and went back to work on the monday after cancelling leave. The latest server/update fiasco tops it off, all about the micro transactions, F U polyphony

    A single player campaign you can finish in a week. A 30 hour server outage that renders the game you paid full price for, unplayable. And after that outage, they cut the in game credits you earn by more than half. Effectively making the best cars pay to play. Microtransactions are all they care about. This is a disgrace and an unfunny joke.

    It was a decent game, until they funneled the gamers into micro transactions. The full game (including offline) is not playable because the servers are down. Paid 100 EUR for this…

    Gran Turismo 7 strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and realism in a way that caters to casual players and veterans. It's a gorgeous racing game with a surprisingly addictive gameplay loop thanks to the new Café and Menu Books systems. While some modes are certainly not as strong as others, Gran Turismo 7 checks almost all the boxes of what a driving simulator should be.
