    Been a huge fan since GT2 but this game really doesn't do it for me.

    The low payouts, the forced cafe campaign, not being able to sell cars and buy the cars i really want.
    The always online, the unpredictable physics, lack of AI and proper races.
    You're only doing time trials and grinding to get the cars you want, the fun GT4 and GT2 used to bring me are completely sucked out of the game.

    GT7 is a pure example of disgusting greediness. I play GT series since the first installment on PSX, I stopped after the 4th. I was hopping for GT to come back to it's original spirit.     What is the point of not being able to play solo mode when there isn't Internet connection or the servers are down? What a joke.

    So the patch 1.07 and 1.08 cut the earning by half? Seriously? And Kazunori Yamauchi said "I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically keep replaying certain events over and over again." So why you cut earnings by half?

    The engine swapping system is outrageous: you need to get engines with their stupid roulette?
    The cars are nice looking on PS4 but the tracks are really bland and feel empty.
    I have to say it: Gran Turismo is dead, Forza is way better since many years now. I'm glad I can play it on Steam.

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. They purposely kept microtransactions hidden from reviewers to get favorable reviews then lowered most of the credit rewards so you need to grind for hours sometimes hundreds of hours just for a single car. I never would have bought this crap if I had known they would change the game like this.

The payouts for the races were ok offline, but after spending about 400k on a r32 skyline to be competitive in sport mode (online), and getting 18k as payout for first place I feel robbed.

    They nerfed other races payouts in single player mode with the idea of pushing the player towards microtransactions... The option is always given, right under the payout screen.
    Since yesterdays update I'm not able to access the game anymore, because you are forced to have internet and a connection to the servers all the time. Which is absolutely nuts and reminds me of the NEED FOR SPEED from 2015, and EA learned from that, apparently. PD is 7 years late like the internet explorer and forces it's players to be constantly connected to the playstation network and their servers. Very customer friendly.
    If you're thinking of buying the game. Get the PCSX2 emulator and a copy of gran turismo 4, and you'll get a finished game which you're surely be happy with. And the crash mechanics are the same btw. For both titles. Or you can get your hands on Forza and not be forced to spend extra cash after buying the initial game for 80€...

    Maybe they will fix it, but I'm really disappointed for a legacy title, especially from a Sony "first hand" developer. Shame on you PolyPHONY Digital. Shame on the gaming industry and their constant push for micro transactions.    … Expand

    I payed this game 70€ and I cannot to play because the maintenance during since 24 hours.
    The economic model is so poor. One hour in game, I win 50 000 credits only. But there's around 430 cars and cost very, very, veeery expensive ( I want to buy a car but it's 1 200 000... and this not the more expensive)

Lottery rewards are totally ridiculous, unbelievable to give us such low rewards!     It’s embarrassing to sell a stand alone game with career unplayable offline: not everyone can/wants to play online so how to justify his purchase?
    No real step ahead after 25 years, this is definitely the worst Gran Turismo I ever seen.

    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

    BUT this is to much now. I quite! The buyer does not OWN the game anymore!!! This "buy everything as a service" and    I was 13 when the the 1st game came out in 1997 on PS1 and I salute everyone who worked on these titles for making milestones in racing game and motorsport history. The Impact you left is very special to millions of people over several generations. That alone is pure art.

This "buy everything as a service" and "you will own nothing and be happy"-mentality we are drifting into as a world wide society is going crazy! Mad crazy! And people are slowly but way to late starting to not take it anymore.

    1. I pay a full game price for offline singleplayer experience and still get forced to be online 24/7 for 90%+ of the game contents. I know tracking and data collecting means $$$ but come on! Thats shady and criminal!

    2. Earning money to buy the cars is made artificially harder due to up to -50% lower in-game price money. In-game purchases is what we are bullied into. Micro transactions my ass! This is god damn gran turismo not some scum ebay offering.

    3. We cant sell/trade/share cars as it used to be to get money or just as a present for friends and family. How more unsocial can it get?

    All these marketing tricks and false shady communication to reduce "cheating". Boy does your PR spin doctor maybe suffer from alzheimer? Me and millions of other players and fans of the series are done with this until this is changed.

    P.S.: Oh and how dare you to not put back Monaco / Côte d'Azur track after almost 10 years since it was gone?    … Expand

    Other than beautiful graphics, the predatory nature of forcing micro transactions to get the best cars is a huge turn off. The tracks to make money were nerfed making it even harder/impossible to grind for the best cars. This is a $60 game and that makes it even more ridiculous.

    Online connection is a bad, really bad things especially with unplayable single player when servers blow up.... Today is may second day when I can only watch on my beatiful PlayStation box of phisically copy of Gran Turismo 7... the most expensive box ... It's really sad.

    A single player campaign you can finish in a week. A 30 hour server outage that renders the game you paid full price for, unplayable. And after that outage, they cut the in game credits you earn by more than half. Effectively making the best cars pay to play. Microtransactions are all they care about. This is a disgrace and an unfunny joke.

    Worse game ever. You have to pay to progress after update 1.07. Before, certain races could give you 70,000 cr ...now the same race gives you 5,000 cr. Nothing Can bring it back to where it was before.

I could list more, such as car maintenance, and purchasing them using credits among others. Whilst multiplayer features going offline are understandable, singeplayer features being unavailable is a a mahore worry and for a game costing as much as it does, is unacceptable. Secondly, the credits system has been changed from previous entries in this series, to payout less per race. Combined with cars costing at time 8 to 10x what they would compared with previous titles makes it a grindy mess which is evidently due to the presence of microtransactions. Finally, the singplayer content is lacking when compared to GT2, 3, 4, 5, 6 at launch.… Expand

    Had to update from 1.07 due to known bug prior to release. Fine but to then release a 20GB update as a “fix” that’s not a fix, that’s a major update on top of a fix for the previously broken system. Game developing companies are to blame for the rushed mess that games are nowadays.

    Gastei $300 brl em jogo com progresso somente online, de que adianta isso, fora as premiações pífias que o jogo dá, os gráficos a jogabilidade estão perfeitas, mas isso não vale de nada em jogo somente online..... é como se fosse um aluguel, era mais fácil lanca-lo de graça e cobrar pelos carros....... já que é tudo pra obter lucro

    Balance changes in games are expected, but the changes to credits and push towards micro transactions has made me put the game on a shelf. And it was a 12 yr old birthday present for my son. Sad, but I’ve been fooled once Polyphony Digital.     I thought I bought a racing game. Instead I bought a platform for mtx. Greed toke over at PD and Sony. Had all the versions in the past, but this is my last one, both the game and console.

    Just to give you an idea, the Take-Two GTA5 (SONY PS4 Pro version) looks better graphically than the SONY GT7 on the SONY PS5 console.

    In fact, running SONY Drive Club game (SONY PS4 version as it was never remastered even for SONY PS4 Pro), through Backward Compatibility mode on SONY PS5, SONY Drive Club still looks better graphically than GT7 on SONY PS5.

    When I say GRAPHICALLY, I'm referring to how real (close to reality) the image looks, I'm not referring to frames per second or resolution.

    Honestly, my disappointment is such that I would rather pay this price for the SONY Drive Club game remastered for SONY PS5 than this SONY Gran Turismo 7 game that disappointed me horribly in terms of Graphics Quality.

    SONY, forget about Ray Tracing, we want Quality Graphics!

    When it comes to gameplay, I still prefer SONY Drive Club. The only things I like about Gran Turismo 7 are the Museum, the Car Mall, and the fact that it's the same Car Simulator that follows the pattern of the Gran Turismo series, in addition to keeping the same Tracks from the series, as I did.

    But Graphically, the picture is so disappointing that I feel that I was assaulted by the high price charged by SONY for this SONY GT 7 game with these graphics that when playing on SONY PS5, it looks like they are actually being run by SONY PS4 Pro when it is running. in "Performance mode", and appears to run on a SONY PS3 when running in "Ray Tracing mode enabled".

    But the worst thing about a game, which is marketed in physical media, is the internet connection required to play, especially Career and/or Single Player mode.
    In fact, I really liked being able to play with split screen, me and 03 friends competing, with the screen divided into 04, using the same Console.

    That's why it's not worth buying the SONY PS5 or the SONY PS4... oh, how much regret.... The best is GT 6 on SONY PS3, there's no way... Besides, I have a 3D Projector with Active 3D glasses, and I have many Blu-ray Disc 3D movies, but only SONY PlayStation 3 supports 3D.

    SONY PS5 and SONY PS4/PS4 Pro will have an advantage over SONY PS3 only in the fact that it supports SONY PS VR, but the graphics quality on SONY PS5 should be much better than SONY PS4/PS4 Pro on VR.

    Anyway, the best game for SONY PS4/PS4 Pro & SONY PS5 is without a doubt the game: SONY Drive Club.
    The last best SONY Gran Turismo was GT6 for Career mode, and GT Sport for graphics.

    But between GT Sport and Drive Club, I prefer Drive Club, especially since Drive Club's graphics are better even than GT7's graphics (which are already better than GT Sport's graphics).
    That is, Drive Club is better than all games in the Gran Turismo series, including Gran Turismo 7, Drive Club is better, especially in graphics quality.

    GT7 is better than GT Sport in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT7 is the worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
    GT Sport is better than GT6 in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT Sport is the second worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.

    GT6 is the best game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
    On SONY PS3, there is no better racing game than GT6.
    On SONY PS4/PS4 PRO, PS5 there is no better racing game than SONY Drive Club, although it has not been remastered even for the PS4 Pro, so there will never be a remastered version for the PS5.

    The studio that produced SONY Drive Club was shut down by SONY for making the game stupidly better (in graphic quality) and better looking than any other racing game, humiliating the Gran Turismo series games in such a way that SONY shut it down. the Studio that produced Drive Club, in addition, SONY forbade the remastering of the Drive Club game for SONY PS4 Pro and SONY PS5, as the game was so graphically beautiful that it would make people repulse spending money and play Gran Turismo games.

    Gran Turismo Sport was released to try to make people forget about Drive Club, but the failure of "advance in graphics quality" between GT Sport and GT7 is so massive that it's impossible not to compare it to Drive Club and note that both, GT Sport and GT7, are inferior to the Drive Club, graphically.

    I recommend your last GT game to be GT6, only available for SONY PS3. If you have a SONY PS4/PS4 Pro/PS5, I strongly recommend, just play Drive Club & Drive Club VR. Stop wasting time with Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7!    … Expand

    Like many others, my biggest beef with the game are the ridiculous non-random roulette tickets, micro transactions, overly expensive cars, and hiding fun game features like rare cars, engine swaps, etc. behind the broken roulette system.

    The developer greed is hard not to notice with this game. Even though it's fun to play, I can't give it any better of a score due to the blatant disrespect shown to us players.    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and realism in a way that caters to casual players and veterans. It's a gorgeous racing game with a surprisingly addictive gameplay loop thanks to the new Café and Menu Books systems. While some modes are certainly not as strong as others, Gran Turismo 7 checks almost all the boxes of what a driving simulator should be.
