Me parece el mejor juego de la generación, y posiblemente mí juego favorito, es MUY entretenida la mecánica de combate que es muy completa a comparación de otras de juegos distintos que son aburridas y repetitivas, no hay tantas peleas de jefes en la historia principal, pero los que hay son muy entretenidos. La historia es inmersiva, entretenida, hermosa, la más larga de la saga god of war, que hace honor a su nombre. Volvemos a ver a kratos, ,una máquina de matar griega, que ahora es más maduro y más amable, en este juego vemos a kratos con un lado más humano, obvio sin dejar de ser serio, es más comprensible y tiene experiencia en las cosas, esto hace que su hijo Atreus no cumpla sus errores. El único punto malo de este juego es el reducido mundo abierto que tiene el juego, hay mapas distintos, SI, pero eso no justifica las cosas que se pueden hacer en este mundo, los reinos con los mapas más "grandes" son midgard (el mapa principal) y alfheim,. Luego de esos mapas viene helheim, que es más reducido, y muspelheim y nilfheim (los opcionales fuera de la historia). En los mapas hay cosas que hacer, como abrir cofres, entrar q cámaras ocultas, que tienen puzzles muy divertidos, también tiene las fabulosas misiones secundarias, que lamentablemente no son tantas. Luego de eso el mapa no es gran cosa. Es un juego muy complicado, tanto en combate como en puzzles, pero si te lo propones, te lo pasarás luego de un rato y será muy satisfactorio para ustedes. Tiene muy buenos gráficos, una jugabilidad completamente diferente a la de los anteriores juegos, que es muy entretenida al estilo RPG. Una banda sonora INCREIBLE que hace llorar a mas de uno de epicidad y emocion. Un juego excelente, muy recomendado por solo $20.

    Strong gameplay. Weak plot. Not really an open world. World feels small and narrow. Lack of human NPCs and limited choice. Fast travel is very limited and time consuming. Rich crafting system that feels too grindy.

    An other overrated game, i feel the gameplay like an old "Beat em up" game, just spend the entire game just pushing the square button . The characters and dub were pretty good . But gameplay is cringe as hell .

    I don't often come across a game where i'm totally awed and woo'd and emotionally rollercoastered throughout while constantly kicking ass and taking names, this amazing adventure is marked by an amazing backstory, giving just enough information to keep us intrigued and guessing!
    The lack of knowing makes us want more and that's exactly what this game has done, it has us asking for another    I don't often come across a game where i'm totally awed and woo'd and emotionally rollercoastered throughout while constantly kicking ass and taking names, this amazing adventure is marked by an amazing backstory, giving just enough information to keep us intrigued and guessing!
    The lack of knowing makes us want more and that's exactly what this game has done, it has us asking for another installment, this piece of art has an amazing development between father and son, between friend and foe, Everything is just so well put together i can't find myself finding anything to stop myself from giving this game a perfect 10, which only 1 other game has managed to achieve from me.

    Played it again recently for the first time since launch. Was way more thorough with it - didn't complete everything but I came pretty close. What a damn game. Seriously. Phenomenal.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have played the previous God of War titles on the ps3 and I was disappointed. On the ps3 God of War 1-3 were available, and despite some issues with the controls they were competing games. God of War 2018 looks nice, but that is were the issues start. There is no backstory it just, God of War and boy, and that is it. And there are no combos at least to start. Then the first boss fight is against a giant were you are supposed to use boy to shoot his arrows to stun the enemy and guess what, the arrows basically do nothing and the giant can take you down in 2-3 hits. Ok beat the giant the you get the next boss fight The Stranger, who you never know who he is or what he wants you just end up in a protracted fight. When you fight the stranger he will charge at you which forces you to use your shield and you miss and chance to counter. On a rare occasion you can finally attack the stranger and start to do damage guess what happens, suddenly right in the middle of you attack combo the stranger will counter your attacks stopping you combo. But you can't counterattack the stranger when he attacks you. Only played the first trophy but was unimpressed, not sure if I will play more.… Expand

    Cutscenes not being skippable, Traveling is an absolute chore late game (and during the story really), Combat is pretty basic at its core but at least "fun" at times, and grinding for mist echoes in a late game area just to get the platinum trophy was not enjoyable at all after a playthrough of no grinding. These are some of my gripes.     'God of War' may well be the most accomlished game I have ever played, even though it doesn't necessarily do a lot to revolutionise the genre. However, it does mark a notbale shift from the previous 'God of War' games and it gets absolutely everything right. What a brilliant game this is. Hats off to Santa Monica Studios.

    I have been a gamer for 35 years. The God of War series has always been one of my favorites but this game is my favorite game ever. I love it so much I platinumed it and I’m playing through it on give me gow ng+. Barlog and the entire team did an absolutely outstanding job. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Somehow, they turned the protagonist into the scared old fart who hides in the woods and runs away when he gets found out.
    Bossfights are like 70% cutscenes. And somehow the game is way too difficult. Even    I wanted to kill monsters left and right, revenge gods, kinda like in previous god of war games. Somehow, they turned the protagonist into the scared old fart who hides in the woods and runs away when he gets found out.
    Bossfights are like 70% cutscenes. And somehow the game is way too difficult. Even medium settings make it feel like darksouls. You cannot defeat even the 1st boss unless you learn all the mechanics and die a few times. I bet one could beat the game in like 8 hours if they made the difficulty more reasonable.
    And all the crappy rpg mechanics are there. Get ready to collect money, spend skillpoints, customize visuals... I really wish they would focus on gameplay, not on secondary features.    … Expand

    One of the best or maybe even the best game for the PS4. However, I also think that the next part could be even better.
    For example, with even more types of enemies and more animations of finishers!
    Very very good game. Level design, sound and battle system are almost perfect. However, I also think that there is just a bit more in it to make it flawless.

    25-30 hours of awesomeness. I hadn't yet played the original trilogy when I got into this game so I wasn't sure what to expect. The combat and story blew my mind and changed the way I view games. This was more than a game. It was an experience.

Okay I'll start by saying that the game is definitely good, but it has a lot of cinematic climbs that just take away from the experience, a lot of parts that the game does not let you run just to show the world that the developers built
    (I can see the world even without the game letting me run), lest you misunderstand the world the developers built here is just amazing, you can go anywhere on the map and discover new things to find upgrades, and magical accessories, and in short the world in God Of War 2018 is just perfect. The gameplay in the game is just fun, it's true that in the previous review it took me a while to get used to the new gameplay style, but after I got used to it it will just be fun and more varied than the previous games (even though they are not the same genre). Spoiler) also the swords from the previous games, which you get towards the end of the game. The plot in God Of War 2018 is simply interesting and sweeping. But I did not so much connect the main thing that you go on a journey, to scatter the ashes of Kratos' wife and mother of Atreus on the highest mountain, but it does not matter so much because the characters are written so great and the relationship between Kratos and Atreus has often made me shed tear. Another thing that really annoyed me in this game is the last battle (spoiler for the end of the game), the last battle is just boring and not fun at all, it's just annoying that the whole battle you touch nothing and just see Kratos and baldur
    (I have no idea what this name is called in Hebrew) Beats go cinematically almost the entire battle, and only sometimes cross the square to see it satisfying, and defend when Baldur gives you punches. Only at the end there is a fight that at least lets you really fight against it but it ended up so fast it kinda pissed me off.
    In conclusion God Of War 2018 is a great game but it is not really a perfect game (at least in my opinion), and I am very much looking forward to the next game in the God Of War Ragnarok series that will add more bosses
    (Because I felt like this game was almost empty of real bosses), and that would give me more control over the game than seeing cinematic stuff.    … Expand

    This is an absolute masterpiece in every way the word “masterpiece” could possible posses. Phenomenal in every way, shape, and form. From start to finish it’s an absolute blessing and worth every penny even if sold at $1000. I really wish they’d do a PS5 version of the game soon. I would die to play it again even at double the price mentioned above.

    A game that somehow manages to balance spectacle and a personal story of father and son. With every mechanic in this game except for fast travel and upgrading systems being so polished, it is infinitely replayable. Perfection.

    God of War excel in every aspect.
    The story was great and emotional. The soundtrack and sound effect can turn cat into tiger. Combat was excellent. Graphic and animation is beautiful. All VA doing a good job.
    All of that combine make you immerse into Kratos journey into Norse mythology world.
    My only gripe is this game need more enemy variation for how big the game is

    Beautiful game, much different than GOW 3 which was very inferior. GOW 2018 is a top game with similar interaction and gameplay like Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Last of us and other games. I didn't like GOW 3, but I liked GOW 2018. BUY IT !

After the hype I gave this one a try and oh boy: it delivered. The whole story including his son, wife and the origins of them was amazing.     The environment looks fantastic, so many areas to explore and secrets to find, unlocking new equipment or upgrading weapons feels very rewarding.
    The game also has backtracking, so you can always go back and find new things, and even a mini open world map where you can travel to all the realms you've unlocked and explore every last corner.

    There's a good amount of side content such as side quests and challenges aswell, you can put many hours in this game and you'll still want more, it's honestly a very enjoyable game.

    The puzzles are okay, nothing groundbreaking but serviceable, although I wish there was more variety, many of them are the same puzzle with some minor differences.

    There is so much potential for the sequel to be even better since this game sometimes feels limited, such as the re-skinned boss fights, or the lack of realms you can visit.
    There are few sections near the end where the game drags quite a bit, and it feels like unnecessary filler but nothing to worry about, it doesn't ruin the overall experience at all.

    For me this is one of the most important First Party Sony games of the PlayStation 4 generation, a videogame that everyone needs to play at least once, absolutely remarkable.

    The game is absolutely fantastic, It hits every point possible; the narrative is absolutely well paced, emotional and overall a masterpiece, the graphics are beautiful, the game has amazing art design with vistas that are breathtaking, the characters are so memorable and many times really funny they never disappoint and are super like able, now the most important thing the    No spoilers!
    The game is absolutely fantastic, It hits every point possible; the narrative is absolutely well paced, emotional and overall a masterpiece, the graphics are beautiful, the game has amazing art design with vistas that are breathtaking, the characters are so memorable and many times really funny they never disappoint and are super like able, now the most important thing the gameplay; well the gameplay is like nothing like before, it was revamped from the ground up and yet still managed to feel as good and fun as the previous God of War games, it is absolutely diverse with many types of combos on both your axe and the other iconic weapon, there are also some combos on your hand to hand combat, as well as your rage combat. There are many types of different runic attacks to adapt to, each one unique and offering a different play-style. The combat always feels fast paced and includes some RPG elements that are not annoying to fidget around and absolutely worth checking all types of armors and runes that coincidentally complement each other. The character animations are top notch and voice acting is always on sync with facial animations. This game is the definition of a masterpiece and truly is the best game of all time. The previous games provided amazing gameplay, narrative and graphics for their year releases and are definitely worth a try too, but this game GOW(2018) is exactly the game that no one should ever miss on!    … Expand

    Positives

    - Lore and worldbuilding is 10/10 it is such a cool mixture of the God of War lore, Greek mythos, and Norse mythos. Very creative and well realized. Also for those who played the original trilogy, this is a soft reboot, that still seems to count the original three games as canon.
    - Combat, the combat feels good and weighty, the more abilities you get the more complex it is. I love the combat in this game, and being able to control Atreus to a degree is awesome.
    - Puzzles and locations are also great, there are some amazing puzzles and some of the locations are just beautiful!

    Negatives
    - More back tracking then necessary for a metroidvania. I can't tell you how many times you complete a huge and long fetch quests in the main story only to get to where you need to go and find out you still don't have what you need so you go back through areas you have already cleared to get something else. This formular is rinsed and repeated far too often in this game. Sure there are more items and loot you can get with your new abilities, but with such a story driven game it just felt like it bogged the story down to an unnecessary degree. I don't know if this game needed to metroidvania style backtracking. I think it needs to pick whether it is a third person linear story telling game or a god of war game in the style of the older games.
    - Enemy design is far to repetitive. I thought the enemy diversity was really good for the first third of the game, but after that point you are fighting stronger versions of the enemies you have already seen in nearly every encounter. It gets to the point where they just have to throw more of the same thing at you to keep tings challenging, it just feels lazy.

    If the enemy design was more diverse and there was less backtracking this game is an easy 10. Hopefully the sequel will improve on this. FYI I played on PS5 and the graphics and frame rate were great, definitely recommend 4K if you can.    … Expand

    наблюдать на лысую башку на пол экрана с туевой хучей стрелок по краям экрана, поварачивать камеру из одного угла в другой, как будто ты в башне танка сидишь, что бы бить 2мя конпками бомжа, который на протяжении всей игры меняется только цветом, застрявший в стене, получать урон не понятно от кого, когда и почему, умирать и начинать заново по 10 раз, что бы просто пройти до лазанья понаблюдать на лысую башку на пол экрана с туевой хучей стрелок по краям экрана, поварачивать камеру из одного угла в другой, как будто ты в башне танка сидишь, что бы бить 2мя конпками бомжа, который на протяжении всей игры меняется только цветом, застрявший в стене, получать урон не понятно от кого, когда и почему, умирать и начинать заново по 10 раз, что бы просто пройти до лазанья по скале с нажатием 1й кнопки что бы подпрыгнуть и в тонкой, буквально удушающей кишкой - уровнем, в поисках сундуков с абсолютно бесполезными камнями для абсолютно бесполезной брони, которой насрано так, что бы ты сидел в меню пол часа и больше, и попутно слушая бессконечный пиздежь каждые 3 секунды ублюдошного раздражающего и бесполезного как по сюжету так и по геймплею пиздюка под супер мега ультра "чувственной" эпический пердеж старой переделанной темы сидя афк по 10 минут смотря оооооочень технологические но идиотские катсцены из которых большая часть игры состоит, но зато с офигенным графонием. Если Вы пенсионер или инвалид, то эта игра для вас - сидите, нажимайте одну кнопку, смотрите оооооооооочень "душу разрывабщий" сюжет, слушайте диалоги (молчание под музычку с кучей качественных анимаций) между какими-то персонажами никак не относящимися ни к Кратосу, ни к Вам самим (о чем в этой же игре сам Кратос и говорит не один раз) но продолжает в этом говне варится, что бы в конечном итоге... что? что бы ждать следующую часть с вменяемым геймплеем, разнообразием персонажей, мобов и локаций, хоть как-то интересных головоломок, хоть каким-то наличием платформинга, и в конце концов игры в которую ты играешь, а не спишь под кинцо нажимая пару кнопок пару раз в несколько часов. Нечего сказать: технически всё сделано великолепно, порт потрясающий, но кроме как сказать, что Кори Барлог просто насрал, своим видением кина а не игры, тут и там, накидал каких-то прокачек вещей, кучу внешки, просто что бы оно там было,

    It's nice. The sequence shot is good, but are we in a movie? This direction that these games are taking is starting to worry me. When you spend more time creating cinematic scenes, directing the actors to stage the actions, it's less time tweaking the gameplay. I played it like I was watching a mythology movie. I am unable to list 3 gameplay mechanics after finishing it.

    Not a god of war game to me, I did however enjoy most of my time with the game. Repeating mini bosses were a let down. some encounters seemed unbalanced. Story and twists were enjoyable.

    One of if not the best game ever made. The story, characters, and gameplay are all as perfect as they could get for a ps4 game. The direction of having no cuts brings a level of immersion not found in any other game other game made thus far. The graphics are quite phenomenal for a ps4 game tho it does leave some areas for improvement for the sequel. The gameplay is deep, addictive, andOne of if not the best game ever made.     The combat feels weighty and you really feel like a beast tearing through enemies. The story is touching yet heartbreaking. The sound design is solid and the art direction is great. It hits a nice sweat spot between linear and open world which works well for a story like this

    I have had the god of war games at the top of my list from way back at the original. But then, they changed it. I didn't think it was a good idea but it was amazing. Great game. I think it's a perfect game. 10.

    one of the best games i have ever played. a must play if you like story and character heavy games, with good game-play and a great world to explore.

    note that if you don't like story heavy games with a lot of cut scenes and walking/climbing. it is unlikely you will like this game

    At first I enjoyed it but it became way too repetitive and boring,I even couldn't play it till the end. Miles from GoW1 and 2, which were far more impressive. This game just combines things from other Action/Open World games and puts hardly anything new to it except cool cinematics.

    It’s a shame that this is the standard for today’s triple A. It’s the same game as many others but with fancy graphics and mediocre gameplay and engagement. It’s unfair and misleading for people who wants a challenge and gameplay mechanics that doesn’t feel as an excuse to stick together different cutscenes. As a film is a 8/10, but they are calling it a game

    Confesso que nem sou fã de God Of War mas dei uma chance, gostei, já zerei 2 vezes mas não acho que é isso tudo que falam não, o Sonysta fanático tem mania de hypar os exclusivos ao extremo, mas o jogo é legal, quanto ao Ragnarok que tá pra sair esses dias, só vou jogar se cair de graça na minha mão, não sou fã pra chegar ao ponto de pagar caro num jogo
