    I am, and actually was, a fan of the series. I went through all parts of the game starting from ps2, through ps3 and psp, ending with the remaster on ps4. This part is a break with the previous formula, it is very boring, slow, annoying playability, stretched out fights , annoying kid. Not recommended.

    One of the most overrated games ever. The boy is beyond useless and annoying, Glad I got this for free, have zero interest whatsoever in playing this or another GOW game.

    Игра ужасно прямолинейна и ужасно скучна. Боевка крутится вокруг нескольких основных приёмов, максимальный уровень сложности переделывает игру в соус лайк игру, а это отвратительно.
    Раза четыре пытался сесть и поиграть в эту игру через силу, но    у меня отсутствует полное понимание откуда у этой игры такие завышенные оценки и откуда было столько хайпа вокруг неё во время её релиза.

    По сравнению с horizon небо и земля.

    В итоге лежит и пылится в библиотеке игр. Очень рад, что не покупал эту игру, а досталась по подписке ps+ при покупке пятой плойки.

    P.S. заметил, что кто сначала играл в horizon, а потом в god of war хейтят god of war,
    а кто сначала играл в god of war, а потом в horizon хейтят horizon.    … Expand

    On the positive side, visuals are nice and the gameplay is fine. On the negative side, the open world is only for the sake of being open world, although the game is completely linear. What really makes this an annoying game are the horrible dialogs and the permanent stupidity of both Kratos and his son.     Dad of War is awful, they destroyed the game completely, a unique gender of platform game was replaced with a generic action rpg, with mediocre story and forced emotional scenes, trying to follow the same cake recipe of The Last of Us, where every single thing is scripted, to give a ''movie like'' experience. Though I enjoy this game it it's very good, It 100% deserves a 3 star from me not because of the storyline or it's mechanics, but because of difficulty in certain missions/areas/activities you come across, when you finish obtaining the chisel that allows you to open the doors that requires magic to open, and you exit the dead giant on the right hand side, you open a door that reveals to be a prison for a creature called the "Valkerie" not that theirs nothing wrong with the enemy it's self but the major issue is that if I'm playing on "Give Me a Story" difficulty the Valkerie shouldn't be difficult to eliminate at all.

    It's like it's cranks my difficulty from g.m.a.s to realistic instantly without telling me that going into the fight will be tough even on g.m.a.s difficulty. Devs should adjust the Valkerie and other enemies like her based on the difficulty your playing not offsetting it for the player who just wants a story    … Expand

    É incrível como uma série como GOD OF WAR conseguiu se reinventar e trazer uma experiencia totalmente nova para os jogadores, assim como Zelda e Mario a franquia não ficou parada no tempo...um belo trabalho Santa Monica S junto com a Sony!

Combat is clearly trying to mimic other popular games, namely Elden Ring, which is a disgrace. The kid is super annoying, and never shuts up, and I wish there was a mute the kid option but alas there is none. Soundtrack gets being praised, but it's boring. Classical music is just that, classic, not modern at all. Where's the metal? I want to hear Metallica or Pantera when I'm slaying reskinned ogre #34, not a harp being played by a depressed 50 year old man. Main antagonist is the only part of the game that is even close to being decent, but even then he's kinda boring and only shows up for like 2% of the entire game.… Expand

    God of war is a great game with a fantastic story, graphics, combat, and music! It is one of the greatest games I ever played.

    I initially thought wow, it ticks all the blocks for a great game, then I played on and found it is actually very cookie cutter. If you took prince of Persia and transitioned it into a game for the LGBTQ community and it had an baby with mark ruffalo l, you would have something that resembles this.

    Boring. Played once and thats it, the story feels unfinished, just put gow ps4: part one. Sometimes feels lime a chore to play it. The good thing is I realise that in ragnarok I'll just watch someone play it on youtube and save my money as its just storytelling playing some buttons. Why bother playing?

    I'm tired of solving puzzles. The enemy variety is weak. Slow combat progress. Solve puzzles by killing the same enemies.

    I can't believe this! I've been a fan of the God of War series since the first game came out, and I was so excited for this new one. But it's a complete disappointment! The story is boring and predictable. The characters are bland and uninteresting. The gameplay is repetitive and uninspired. And the graphics are mediocre at best.

The puzzles all revolve around visual acuity; if you don't understand how to create good puzzle elements, then don't bother making them. They are all the same visual acuity puzzles, incredibly monotonous. TheGod of War 4 is just a pile of garbage.     Cory Barlog and his team achieved what many thought impossible – despite having changed almost everything Santa Monica managed to preserve that elusive spark that makes God of War game feel like a God of War game. They created one of the defining titles of the current generation and a technical marvel whose stunning beauty in motion words cannot describe. And there’s one more thing. Barlog’s touching reaction to his masterpiece’s scores shows that even in the world of huge budgets, micropayments, loot boxes and sales forecasts there still is a place for artists who pour their hearts into their work.
