    Mini-Review: It's a pretty great game. I really wouldn't say it's a Breath of the Wild clone, since I've played Breath of the Wild. It's really nice to play a game with a similar landscape and graphics as Breath of the Wild. It's far from excellent, but it has room to improve, I don't really mind about the whole "gacha" thing.     The game is good and well made specially considering it is also on mobile with the same graphics. The game can be a little bit of a grind at times but I completely disagree with the negative reviews that say it loses it's fun. I have been playing non stop all week and it's been a blast every moment. But Honestly the game gives you a lot of the "premium" currency through game-play and while the drop rates could definitely be better they also could be much much worse. So it's not really "pay to win" it's more like "pay for expedited progress." The game does take a lot of inspiration from Breath of the Wild that is obvious with it's world exploration but it also adds on to that with multiplayer and no terrible durability system that renders weapons useless after a single battle so there is that.… Expand

I recommend this game to everyone, it's free and you really don't need to put any money in the game if not for supporting the game itself because nobody likes to work for free right?     A free game that has ton of options for us to spend our money and yet gives us so many elements to avoid spending money altogether that it's brilliant. Also, a game with a terrific gameplay, elements combination and interesting characters to keep us coming back for more. What an amazing surprise in this horrible year

    Genshin Impact is a surprisingly solid free-to-play fantasy RPG with fun combat, dozens of hours of quality open world gameplay and enough content to keep you hooked for weeks. It's very easily compared to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and in some cases can even feel like a cheap, low-grade knockoff at times. But for free, it is still an exciting and satisfying game to play regardless. TheyGenshin Impact is a surprisingly solid free-to-play fantasy RPG with fun combat, dozens of hours of quality open world gameplay and enough content to keep you hooked for weeks. It's very easily compared to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and in some cases can even feel like a cheap, low-grade knockoff at times. But for free, it is still an exciting and satisfying game to play regardless. Would i feel better about it if the game developer gave us a solid release schedule and prices? Yes.

    I am having a huge amount of fun with this game. I went in with a highly suspicious attitude due to the free gacha format and it being a BOTW clone. At Adventure level 20, I do not see an obvious push to have to spend money to win the game. The potential is there so I am holding out until endgame for a final judgement. But I am using all the free characters and do not feel hobbled.

    Things I enjoy about this game:Huge world to explore, developed lore, game rewards exploration. Things I do not like: online connection required, gacha format, timed energy stamina for opening certain chests, crafting material gated to day of the week, feeling guilty about BOTW cloneness.

    Here is the why I forgive myself for the BOTW cloneness....no weapon durability! It such a relief to explore a BOTW type world without your weapon breaking every few fights.

    I think I would pay full price for this game without the time gates and gacha mechanisms.    … Expand

    I am addicted. It is such a beautiful and fun experience. Every time I log on there is ALWAYS something to do. The side-quests, quests and also the huge open world are there for your entertainment. Personally, I love the character designs too. Every time you get a character they are very unique! The game is F2P, though you can always spend money on it if you wanted!I But there is no need,I am addicted. It is such a beautiful and fun experience.     On PC i would give it an 8. I own a ps4 pro and framerate is a joke runs better on my phone...not to mention the loading time to join a game in multiplayer. Ps4 need some love guys

    You have 0,06% chance of rolling a different character, gems are hella expensive.
    One summon costs 160 gems... 10 summons = $40.00 USD.
    The game has stolen many ideas of Zelda, I’m surprised Nintendo hasn’t sued them. This is nothing like Zelda. Zelda world is alive, vibrant... vs this piece of crap.

    A wonderful game!!!! I spent the first 3 hours of the game wondering how it was possible for a game of this level to be free!!! The premise: you can play perfectly on your own! You are absolutely not obliged to spend money to continue the story. However, 5 dollars are willingly given to such talented producers. Second premise: it resembles Zelda BOTW only in the color palette and for theA wonderful game!!!! For my taste, the character design is amazing, much closer to Hayao Miyazaki's anime style than Zelda's. Beautiful animations, a huge and colorful world to explore, millions of objects to collect, in short, is paradise for those who love JRPG!!! Not to mention the amazing footage that tells us the story! The only flaw, the game menu is not easy to understand at first, but it is part of its charm.     I think that it is a good (free) video game; i don't see a problem if it is similar to zelda like the fanboys said because it's free; you don't pay for it to play. In the other side; problems with perfomance can be solve with the time ; so it's stup#d be angry for this now. Only play the game if you like it. If not use good reasons to put a bad rating

    This game looks very nice and has great combat that can be combo'd, to make for deep game play. It's the first time I've played a game like this for ps4 but at the free entry price to play it's absolutely worth trying for yourself.

    I was pleasantly surprised by this game!

    What a terrible optimization this game is. Now it's 2020 and the texture is so rough. Character modeling and terrain modeling are very inconsistent.

    its one of the best FTP games ive ever seen. it has a good story and good gameplay and beautiful world.
    its word is fuul of event and items even more than expensive games of ubisoft and bethesda.
    i give it 10 because of those above mentioned + its a free game

    I've played at this game for 5 days and I want to say tha I don't like this game. This game maybe would be good without gacha-mechanics, terrible camera, and with target lock. Also on ps4 it runs terrible ~25-20 fps and lower with freezes.

    This is probably one of the best F2P games out right now. Story, at least early on isnt all too impressive, but fantastic gameplay and a beautiful open world help this game stand out among the crowd.

Yes you can pay money for a gacha system that rewards you with the occasional character you can't get from story mode, but it's not like they are much better if at all better than the characters they give you. These people played for 5 minutes & didn't get anything good off their free wishes & stopped playing bc they didn't get the character they wanted & are not on here screaming "It's pay to win".

    Take it from someone who's only purpose in life is videogames.. this games IS NOT pay to win. This game HAS a great story. This game IS fun if you're an anime fan looking for a good ARPG. Anyone who PLAYS longer than 30 minutes finds out this game is way more than a zelda clone. You can either bask in ignorance, or you can have a good time. It's up to you.     I have to say that it has been quite some time since I have been addicted to a game as much as this one. Probably not since Persona 5 Royal. There is so much to like about this I do not know where to start....just the game's charm & aesthetics alone are wonderful. The whole elemental aspect in battle is pretty awesome. Gives me that Avatar-ish feel, yas know?! And don't even get me startedI have to say that it has been quite some time since I have been addicted to a game as much as this one. Now I do admit I wish they did have some sort of offline mode just in case they may have some type of potential server(s) issues preventing users from logging in. As far as my connection for the 4 days I have been playing I have not had any relative lag or logging in issues.

    I'm sure at sometime in the future when this game is to a certain point they will probably insert some sort of 'payment wall' but as for now this is an absolute delight to play. I hope everyone is enjoying it as immensely as I am.    … Expand

    Amazing open world, BotW-esque game with fun, inventive and challenging combat. 15ish hours in after finishing the prologue and I can't put it down. The story is ok, somewhat tropeish but manages to stay intriguing. Cell-shaded graphics give it a colorful vibe and it's fleshed out further with the amazing towns, landscapes and peoplethat inhabit it. Yes, this is a gacha. Yes, this isAmazing open world, BotW-esque game with fun, inventive and challenging combat. 15ish hours in after finishing the prologue and I can't put it down. The story is ok, somewhat tropeish but manages to stay intriguing.     Ignoring the not so great FPS this is a really good free game. There's a lot of content and a pretty big world. The gameplay is fun and the story is interesting enough. For it's price (free) it's definitely worth a shot.

    Excelente jugabilidad, gráficos hermosos, personajes carismáticos y varías horas de diversión. El juego podría mejorar en algunos aspectos cómo agregar la opción de configurar los controles, solucionar algunos bugs visuales y quizás renderizarlo para poder alcanzar frames más altos. Es un juego gratis, entretenido y qué no hace sudar ni un poco a la ps4 (ps4 slim en mi caso)

Este juego es gratis, si tiene para pagar para subir de nivel, tener más personajes más rápidos pero es opcional , si te gusta jugar puedes conseguir lo mismo sin tener que pagar nada, no estás obligado a pagar, lo recomiendoTe lo pondré así, es un juego de mejor calida/precio.     -Bosses found in the world are all unique and interesting in terms of attack patterns etc.

    -Lots of equips to micromanage (could be a con)

    Cons:
    -Drop rates on rare item/characters are extremely low outside of the guaranteed "every 10 rolls" pity reward.
    -Economy is very convoluted with more than 7 different currencies to track.
    -There is a mascot character (may be a pro of you're a masochist)
    -World is not empty, but only largely filled with common encounters and chests that offer little reward in the short term (supposed to be farmed in large numbers for character growth drops)
    -Having only unlocked the first 3 areas, the environments are still all relatively samey. About 80% of the map looks like "Hyrule Field" (grass and cliffs) with a small potion being mountains or wetlands. the Chinese-inspired settings in some parts are nice.
    -Unintuitive menus that makes quickly micromanaging the gear of several characters a huge chore
    -Co-op unlocked only after about 10-15 hours of play (can be faster or longer depending on how you tackle it )
    -Co-op has restrictions in place limiting the kinds of quests playable with friends and limiting the visitor's drops (they can't steal the host's world chests)
    -Not a huge diversity in common enemies - you will mostly be fighting slimes and goblins.
    -Very slow to level characters even after just early game.
    -Low frame rates in cinematics and some frame drops during gameplay
    -Map is slow to navigate with limited stamina and lack of mounts, along with fast travel spots not always placed in the most useful locations (though many are at least NEAR important areas)
    -As late game approaches, will likely need to wait real time to allow resources to replensih or invest real money into resources to allow for farming rarest materials (I have not gotten to that point yet though)
    -There is no way to set a custom waypoint on the map for which to travel towards via minimap (though you can place markers to indicate points of interest on the world map)
    -Armor / accessories you equip do not change your appearance (only entire outfits are options)

    Overall impression: If you like BOTW you will like this. It lacks the polish and the compact, rich world, but scratches that same itch. Basically trades the physics sandbox for RPG elements and a grind/chase. For a game that's free and with a very unintrusive gacha system, it's a no brainer.    … Expand

    The ps4 version performance is an absolute joke, can't even hold 30 fps on the pro with clipping asset popping and mobile like graphics (very low option on pc).

    Also there is no aim assist so good luck with ranger characters. Overall game is pretty fun at start, it rewards you for exploring. But after like 8 to 15h game starts to repeat itself. You don't have the freedom that BotW offers so when game starts to repeat, it simply starts to be boring.

    This game is just pure fun. I am really enjoying it. There is a lot to do and a lot to keep you entertained. The atmosphere and music is lovely too.

    I have a mix of positive and negative things to say about the game. Let's start with the positive stuff.

    The world and environment look beautiful. The combat is simple yet fluid and the elemental reactions are also pretty interesting. I like the dungeons and having multiple characters with distinct gameplay to choose from. It includes co-op which looks pretty enjoyable but I haven't tried yet.

    Now, onto the negative stuff.
    I know it's been mentioned plenty of times but it is obvious to anyone who has ever played Breath of the Wild for even one hour that this game is a clone of it. There are way too many things that work exactly like BotW to very specific levels. I'd be fine with using its features as inspiration but blatantly copying is not cool. While the combat is good it doesn't compare to the greats such as The Witcher, Dark Souls, Nier: Automata, etc. (Still above average though). The characters look super generic and I swear I've seen them all in cheap mass-produced fantasy anime. The lip-synch during dialogs is awful. The story isn't very interesting and the pacing is all over the place.

    Overall, Genshin Impact is a good-looking BotW clone but besides its glitter, it doesn't offer much new and feels like a cheap mix of BotW and generic-looking anime characters + bad mobile game p2w features. But not everything is bad, the game is functional despite suffering from low FPS every now and then and its world and dungeons are still fun to explore. Perhaps it is too soon to rate this game yet, it might still surprise me and I might improve the rating. Time will tell. As of now, I'll consider this game a decent effort at trying to emulate Nintendo's success but not quite there yet.    … Expand

The story gets better with twists, which, when I came to one, I was put in a curve ball lmao. The monsters such as the Cryo Creature(Lol, I fell off a cliff and one of them killed me:/ ). The creatures are hard to beat as you progress farther into the story. WARNING! You have to reach a certain Adventure Rank before progressing further into the story, so be ready:) The land in this game is very relaxing and real. Overall, just give this game f**king try, you don't want to miss out on one the best games of this year :)… Expand

    game mechanics, atmosphere are good. but it is free and pay to win and always need online connection. actually this is not a problem but i dont wanna feel it. I always see ping bar on hud.

    i wish this game was a not free game and not a pay to win game.

    Excelente juego, lo de que se parece a zelda es totalmente irrelevante, vengo por ver monas chinas kawaiis tirando poderes pero me encuentro con que tiene una buena historia y personajes muy carismáticos. y se me olvida la mejor parte, es totalmente gratis, así que no lloren y disfrútenlo

    The game is a very fun where the story line is where you have to defeat storm-terror and where yours sister has turned into the dark side within those years you where locked away. in my opinion Genshin impact is a hell of a great clone and its better than "botw" and i have my reasons

    I'm having an awesome time with this game, and I can't believe it's free to play. So far the atmosphere, music, and exploration elements have me hooked. Combat is pretty fun and fast paced, but definitely not the focal point of the game. I wanted something to fill the void that BOTW left, and this is kind of doing it for me so far.

    So far I am enjoying this game. I love the story line. You get to change characters which is awesome. We get an option to change voice language (amazing) and text language. So you can separate two languages. Character design is cute. it's a great game, great graphics, gameplay, story all of it. Even with the lowest graphics it's still pretty decent compared with other games.

    It's terrible that a pay to win game like this comes along and tries to ride the legendary wave that is BotW. Shameless appropriation and not well done at that. Game is unable to sustain the level of fun for very long, even at early stages, because it is rather bland. You're better off playing BotW again.

    Jogo muito bom porem o sistema de evolução do rank de aventura e muito lento e a falta de missões secundárias e notavel, além do fato de que termos que encontrar as missões ao invés de elas aparecem no mapa é muito incomodo

    Genshin impact copies botw in some very obvious areas. However, it retains its own identity. Some are apposed to putting gotcha games on console, yet it is a free game. From the hours i have put into it, there seems to be no need to pay any money, you can win with any character. Overall i would say this game is very promising, and i hope it continues to be as good as it is now in future updates.

    Mobile games should stay on Mobile, let's not say the pay to win money grab 0.6% chance for a 5 star bullsh1t at first, why am I getting 22 fps on a PS4Pro while the graphics is even worse than BOTW on a Switch?

    Genshin Impact is a well above average RPG to which we will dedicate many hours, but that gets lost in a monetization system typical of the gacha genre that sometimes demands too much from us. However, the free to play experience is wonderful offering us a beautiful and colorful world that can boast an absurdly good character design and a story capable of keeping us hooked.

    Genshin Impact is part of a wave of titles from China that is slowly eroding the bad stereotype that Chinese devs are devoid of creativity and skill. While the initial comparisons are there, Genshin Impact does go beyond to distinguish itself…now if only the gacha rates and the free primogem are better I would have no hesitation recommending the title.

    Genshin Impact might not be the most original game in a lot of respects, but it certainly has a wealth of things to offer players should they still be willing to give it a chance. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my time with it, and I plan to continue playing once future updates are implemented. The fact that it can be played for free is also quite impressive given just how much time you can invest in the game, especially with people perhaps staying at home more and being on a budget. All in all, Genshin Impact is a surprisingly solid action RPG adventure!
