    Move of a luck racer than a kart racer
    Garfield kart furious racing is hands down the most disappointing racing game ive played this year… And it’s a shame because its doing so much right.. it has characters with different stats, it has unlockable cosmetics that give you bonuses and boosts while racing.. however when it comes down to design and gameplay,    Garfield Kart Furious Racing

    Garfield kart furious racing is hands down the most disappointing racing game ive played this year…
    And it’s a shame because its doing so much right.. it has characters with different stats, it has unlockable cosmetics that give you bonuses and boosts while racing.. however when it comes down to design and gameplay, Garfield Kart Racing throws all it has going for it in the trash…
    This kart racer feels more like a ctr clone than a Mario kart clone, and much like CTR, Garfield kart feels near impossible to win a race on anything other than easy… and unlock crt its not because of a lack of skill… it comes down to feeling more luck based… you can do all of the sliding and boosting you want, winning here mostly comes down to your picks ups and your opponents pickups… one wipeout and youre guaranteed to fall far behind… and a wipeout of course can happen out of nowhere… you don’t feel as though you can recover with skill and speed…. Youre just hoping you get a speed boost pick up to make up time or a pie to throw at your opponents in front of you… don’t get me wrong.. pickups that actually mean life or death are what make kart racers so thrilling, but there should be a balanace on racing and pickups leading to the outcome of the race in a kart racer, not just one or the other.. this makes the racing feel bland, stale, unfun and unfair…
    Even if you can forgive the pickups systems, all 16 tracks here feel like lifeless lazy fan creations rather than well throughout, clever, or fun… they all have a different theme, but none of these themes come to life.. every track just has a new backdrop of what feels like the game thing…
    Garfield Kart Furious Racing is a lifeless drag with a measily 1 and a half hrs worth of content not even worth your consideration

    The AI is ridiculous, the gameplay is janky, the graphics are mostly grayish and the tracks are rather empty. It’s a game neither for Garfield fans nor for karting enthusiasts. [02/2020, p.66]

    Although it’s a step up compared to its predecessor, Garfield is still far from being able to compete against other kart games. Children who like the character might enjoy it, but that’s pretty much it.
