    I was hoping the remake is the same original FF7 with better graphics so it can be played with the new generation. But I was disappointed. They did a massive effort in graphics which is by the way is the BEST! , but did not introduce to us the all storyline of final fantasy 7 .
    Now I wish if they did a remaster version instead of this.

    To me this is a perfect example of how a classic game ought to be rebooted. The 1997 original game is but an inspiration, as they have updated a large number of aspects: gameplay, graphics and even the story. Most of these changes are wise and foster the creation of a new series of game.     Final Fantasy 7 remake is a true masterpiece and definitely one of the best ps4 games I played. I completed my playthrough in around 52 hours on normal difficulty and it involved just a little bit of farming. What I want to say is that there is a lot of content even though it's not the complete FF7 experience. The graphics, animations and voice acting are top notch and top tier if weFinal Fantasy 7 remake is a true masterpiece and definitely one of the best ps4 games I played. The graphics, animations and voice acting are top notch and top tier if we compare to other games. Sometimes, I had the impression I listened to a great movie during the cutscenes. I liked also the different characters and the Midgar environment. For me, this kind of setting is unique and is not generic (that's what I want to see in video games). Here is a list of the most importants pros and cons:

    Some boss combats are way too long and at one moment, I found myself frustrated because there was no autosave between 2 long boss fights (this may be challenging for players who play in a small time-window)

    End game is really confusing

    This is still a 9,2/10 game for me ! I never played FF7 before so I think it may be a great experience for newcomers !    … Expand

    Your favorite Final Fantasy blown up to ridiculous proportions by way of Michael Bay and injected with a bunch of fluff and anime treacle. Still a mind-blowing experience for anyone who was a fanboy for the original. I didn't really mind the gofer quests that much and I can't wait to see what they do with the series.

    Can't express my hapiness playing this again with everything renewed. Even though there is some graphic issues like doors with poor quality or people poping on the screen out of the ground when you are running in the town (fixed with the ps5 version). It doesn't spoil the experience but could be solved. Looking forward to the last part.

Слегка разочарован игрой! 35 часов коридоров это не то что я хотел получить и плевок в сторону оригинала с добавлением какой то чуши меня просто взбесил.Разрабы!     i'm love Square Enix and games that they create, so Final Fantasy VII Remake is not an exception. Now i will tell why i think so. Firstly visual part of this game is awesome as cutscenes as gameplay one and that on old PlayStation 4 with no so cool hardware u know. what really amazed me that camera work and settings in cutscenes it doesn't look like ordinary game cutscenes it feel likei'm love Square Enix and games that they create, so Final Fantasy VII Remake is not an exception. Now i will tell why i think so. Firstly visual part of this game is awesome as cutscenes as gameplay one and that on old PlayStation 4 with no so cool hardware u know. what really amazed me that camera work and settings in cutscenes it doesn't look like ordinary game cutscenes it feel like real film or movie or whatever. and chapter 9 with honey bee moment it greatest thing that i ever saw in video games during all time im played video games (who played that definitely will agree with me =D). so lets dive into gameplay actually it's slasher with bullet time during this time you can give some commands to your crew (probably that genre has some name but it described it as i did) actually all your timeates have their own wepons and each wepons have different tree of skills and special ability (that you can learn while using this weapon and after it you can use this ability with another weapon). also you can add more skills by rainbow orbs that give some kind of magic to your character. another great thing of this game is sound and music is also great (but chapter 9 main theme is sucks as heck) music perfectly suits to all thing that you can see on your screen (one more time except chapter 9 =D i hate it =D). so the last part is a plot and yeah i don't get it =D at all =D probably the middle part of the game i can say that i understand but first 2 chapters and last 2 it only brings me buch of questions like: "who this people?", "why thei do that thing?", "when it hepen?" and moreever. but actually i cant say that plot is bad in this game probably it's just me maybe i was concentrated on plot while playing or something else. So in conclusion will i recommend this game ? and answer is yes (probably i recommend all games of Square Enix =D) if you looking for something with interesting plot/gameplay/sound/characters that game is your choice.… Expand

    Great visuals and art. Combat is a good balance of flash and enough depth that it isn't button mashing. Great music. Dialogue and writing can be hit or miss although mostly it is miss, although it doesn't stop the characters from being at least likable.

    one of the most overated games ever, takes a 5 hour game adds a **** ton of filler to make it 40 hours completely botches the story to make it incoherent, and somehow everyone acts like its the best thing ever

    Prostredie, postavy, dabing aj soundtrack sú fakt top a súbojový system funguje perfektne (hrám na normal a každý súboj som si fakt užil), preskúmavam každý kút mapy a mám splnené všetky vedľajšie questy (síce nie su jedny z najoriginálnejších ale na druhú stranu nie su ani zlé a dokážu tiež dosť zabaviť)
    Hlavného hrdinu Clouda som si obľúbil už v deme takže som s ním nemal problém a fakt mi sadol
    Ale nechcem sa tu ale moc rozpisovať kvôli spoilerom (a písanie recenzií mi moc nejde) tak to skrátim:

    Na to že je to hra do ktorej som šiel ''naslepo'' tak sa parádne bavím
    Či už ste fanúšikom Final Fantasy alebo je toto ''vaše poprvé'' tak určite odporúčam (ale pre istotu aby ste 60€ nehodili do vetra radím vyskúšať demo ak ste tak ešte neurobili)

    Настоящая JRPG хороший сюжет, почти каждый персонаж яркий и запоминающийся, есть даже щепотка фан сервиса. Из минусов нет полноцнной поддержки мониторов 21:9, хотя есть фиксы от сообщества и местами плохая навигация.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. you know, i feel like everyone who gave this game a 10/10 didn't play the original. the visuals are good but performance felt choppy and some textures looked awkward. music was good but the original also had good music so it doesn't necessarily make this game superior. combat is better or worse depending on what you like, however, it doesn't matter either way as the materia was always the fun part about ff7 combat, and since this game is only 1/7 of ff7, original ff7 has much more materia options, and for that reason, the combat is more interesting in original ff7. the story is just sh*t in this game. foreshadowing in this game can barely be called foreshadowing. they hint at cloud not being a soldier during midgar except everyone around cloud just doesn't care that he's not a soldier for some reason, despite that it should be a surprise since only tifa should know. a lot of dialogues are also sh*t. the added backstory to characters is pretty bland and uninteresting, on top of that they don't add much depth to the main cast and only focus on side characters no one cared about (except for yuffie but she's in ff7ri and is technically a side character). the side quests are also bland and uninteresting. the worst part of this game though, is definitely the ending, which is also sh*t. basically, everything related to writing is sh*t and whether the combat is good or not is debatable. the excuse for this review would probably be "well it's a reboot not a remake" but that's false advertising, which is a crime, and it wouldn't even change the fact that the side characters and added backstory are bland and uninteresting. overall, i'd recommend playing the original since you won't have to wait 30 years and it's also not a cashgrab.

    to be fair, at least this game actually had good translation which is one plus i guess, but it should be expected from a $60 game (for context, the original PSX release had a sloppy translation. it does actually have a fan translation though, which is much better. unfortunately, it's pretty buggy and a few things are broken. from my experience, it took about an hour to do the shinra march minigame due to not working properly and trying to attain the cave materias crashed the emulator.)    … Expand

Final Fantasy 7 Remake takes the best of mainstream Final Fantasy and modernizes the gameplay with it's in real time combat, and for the most part is a joy to play. The only point of frustration comes from the sometimes brutal boss battles, in which combat chokes downThis game was great all around, with superb graphics, excellent voice acting, excellent story, and smooth intuitive combat. Final Fantasy 7 Remake takes the best of mainstream Final Fantasy and modernizes the gameplay with it's in real time combat, and for the most part is a joy to play. The only point of frustration comes from the sometimes brutal boss battles, in which combat chokes down to basic doge and counterattack, playable, but very monotonous. That coupled with sometimes a little too many enemy encounters throughout the many labyrinths culminate into some repetitiveness.     Estou platinando o mesmo e digo vale muito a pena!!!!! tiveram o carinho de colocar detalhes que fãs queriam ver, a cada cena uma nostalgia, foi incrível e continua sendo!!!!

    É o melhor jogo de playstation 4 concerteza, recomendo a todos.

    I played it with high expectations, but it ends up boring me, I completed the game 100%, and I found it very tedious and tiresome. The performances seemed very childish to me. I think it's a very overrated game.

    This is awesome! I loved every bit of this game, from fun and charming characters to incredibly sassy villains. Got to admit, I've never played FF games before this remake, but I'm hooked. Can't wait to try Intergrade on PS5!

Es ist nahezu ein Wunder, das wir heute ein so hochwertiges Spiel in der Hand haben, das zudem den originalen Spirit von FFVII so gut in ein modernes Game Design transferieren konnte. Vieles an diesem Spiel ist fantastisch. Zumindest bis wir zum großen Showdown des Spiels kommen. Square Enix what have you done? Warum alles Pulver in einer Stunde verschießen. Wie soll ein zweiter Teil da noch weiter machen können? Zudem - die Idee mit der Meta Ebene des Schicksals ist brilliant, aber hätte man diese nicht subtiler ins Spiel fügen können? Warum gleich im ersten Teil alles teasen und die Karten so offen auf den Tisch legen? Wir werden sehn wie Square Enix den Löwen wieder in den Käfig kriegen will in einer Fortsetzung. Ich kann mir nicht gut vorstellen wie das funktionieren soll. Von dieser Kritik einmal abgesehen ist FFVII Remake ein fantastisches Spiel, das den Geist vom vermutlich besten Final Fantasy der Seriengeschichte gekonnt in eine neue Generation trägt.… Expand

    I can't deny it, i enjoyed this remake very much. It's not perfect of course, some textures issue, sometimes to be picky the balance of the battle system could be improved.     I can't deny it, i enjoyed this remake very much. It's not perfect of course, some textures issue, sometimes to be picky the balance of the battle system could be improved. Also i'm not a big fan of THE major addition to the story(but the story follow the big lines of the original anyway for a big part).

    However, the overall game is so pleasant to play, the story is so interesting to follow, there is a great job made on the characters personnality, very faithfull to the original but more deep. The combat system is also great, it capture the spirit of the ATB system but combined with action features.

    However, the feeling is very dynamic but not 100% action, you can not dodge everything, you have to switch you characters often to fill the ATB bar(the game make you play your team, not just one character, like the original!), you have to parry more than you have to dodge, and it's a gameplay choice.

    The materia system is back, and it's one of the core of combat like it was in 1997. The difficulty is not better than the orginal, except for boss that are for me a bit more difficult than the old FFVII. If you want to enjoy the battle system at his best, you can unlock a "difficult mod."
    Anyway, this battle system is pretty good, even very good.

    At the end, we have here a nice battle system fun, dynamic, and strategic, and it does'nt feel like another a-rpg.

    Musics are also awesome, just a few are a bit "unexpected", but the big majority are just so good. Also, despite textures problem sometimes, the game look great, characters models are perfect, and Midgar atmosphere is amazing, with a very good job made on lighting. The night is probably where the city shine the best.

    Now we have to wait for the sequel, and it will be another challenge for Kitase and Nomura's team.
    But this first game for me is already a very good start, i can't wait for the part II! Even if i'm pretty sure there will be a part III, maybe a part IV, we don't know.    … Expand

    Storia fantastica , Personaggi indimenticabili , Musiche assolutamente indescrivibili e molto altro.

    Per chi è rimasto deluso dal Finale , faccio notare che è solo la prima Parte ed in pratica può succedere tutto come niente. Non capisco quindi i voti bassi per il solo finale che in realtà non è nemmeno un finale..    … Expand

    This is the best kind of compromise for people who likes turn base game play.
    The Materia system allows for deep customization. you have a party system and can switch between your party members as indented for a FF game.
    The Ghost plot makes no sense.

    I did enjoy every aspect of this remake, from the gameplay to the story- The characters are well written and i'm totally in love with this project, hopefully we'll get part 2 as soon as we expect!

    No he jugao al origal así que lo juzgo por lo que es y no por lo que fue. Pasillero, texturas de ps2, historia regulera, muuuuuucho relleno y secundarias para echarse las manos a la cabeza. El combate mola. Cansa al final pero mola.

    If you are expecting a 1 to 1 matching, no, this is not for you. This is a remake, a rediscover if you would. We know the main story, but how they changed it to allow what they have planned was well done in my opinion.     Some battles I had trouble with on the more difficult settings, but eventually overcame those matches.

    There is one thing I would change if I could, making one character playable, but most of it I wouldn't alter.

I haven't had this much fun in an RPG since Divinity Original Sin 2.

    The reason I can't give it a higher score is that it's a fairly linear experience. This has the benefit of giving focus to the story since you always know what you're doing, but the lack of freedom often feels restrictive, and you get stuff like the shoehorned motorcycle section, or endless corridor levels. It's really close to being a 9 though because the combat and game balance are so good.    … Expand

Basically only purists won’t enjoy this game, even though most of the game follows the same beats and pretty much everything that happens in the original, happens in the remake.

    9 out of 10 game but then at the critical end phase just goes far over the top and dilutes final fantasy into some variety of kingdom hearts with various different bosses and completely ruined the game for me .

    The music is super great and the in-game graphics is even better than cutscenes.
    Battle system, game play is also very creative and addictive to play.

Perfect character development, narrative, amazing gameplay, mechanics, graphics and ost.     Everything from the original (from Midgar) is here and even expanded upon, from the Honey Bee Inn, to the different sectors, to all the chracters with everything being given more detail and character, new plots threads and characters turn up and honestly for the better in my opinnion.

    Side quests aren't as abundent as other RPG's bug there is still a healthy amount of game to play and things to do. From summons to re-experiencing the materia system.

    Honestly I could gush about the game all day but I won't go further than this.

    My only gripe and this is a minor nitpick waas the occasional texture pop-in, mainly around Sector 7.

    If you loved the original then I recommend this game highly, though bare in mind this isn't a REMAKE, it's more of a 'Retelling'.    … Expand

FF VII hammers home the notion that the most important thing we have is each other, and that we must all do our part to fight the forces that attempt to strip us of our humanity (income inequality, climate change, corporate authoritarianism).

    The original is quite possibly my all-time fav game. It no doubt left a mark on me that's made me the man I am today. The remake exceeded my expectations and is an absolute joy to relive. I only wish I could continue playing.    … Expand

FF7 Remake as a title is also misleading, this in no measure is a full FF7 and it would have been more honest to call this FF7 Remake episode 1. My first playthough got me fun of a little less than 40hours, then again I do like to grind for the extra points before proceeding the mainstory. There is also possibility to adjust the difficulty between Classic, Easy and Normal modes, classic mode being more of give commands to proceed and Easy/Normal modes being closer to FFXV type of battle system. Normal mode is quite challenging propably for most players, but to me I would have been happier if there was Hard mode available from the start. There is a second playtrough after finishing the first finish, that also allows you go to Hard mode, and you can pick chapters freely to pursue grinding more. The second playthrough or a typical new game+ feels just over glued way to try and extend the experience with too little more to give. Overall this game left me with very mixed feelings, yes it’s FF7 in it’s core, but it feels more that they put more to the cinematics, voices and motioncapture than was nescessary and the gameplay suffered due to this. Also there are new characters and plots that overlay with the old story, which some of them work and some made me feel they belong to some other universe. Still I definitely recommend the experience, but also would say that you should not expect anything groundbreaking.… Expand

    Combat was amazing and action packed, except for boss battles. Boss battles just took too long and one felt more relieved when beating a boss than a sense of achievement. This is what the whole game felt like, a long, boring, over stretched out, simple story. What took 5 hours in the original game, took 35hours to complete in the remake. Ridiculous.

Most of the negative reviews emphasize the "padding", storytelling choices and differences with the original game, lack of depth with too many FFXIII style corridors and so on. It does not reach the overall peaks of the best jrpg in PS4 so far (Nier Automata) as it focuses more on storytelling than on the actual rpg(istic) depth and experience. But it excels in telling a story as no other (final fantasy) game did in the last years did (putting aside the fact that you like or don't like the script). The right score imho is 8. People of the '80s as me would have expected a slightly stronger effort from Square Enix in the FFVII remake, probably some different script choices, but i'm not disappointed at all, i have enjoyed a great experience and a great game.… Expand

Como pegas, las físicas de algunos objetos del escenario, algunas misiones secundarias que son aburridísimas e innecesarias y el diseño "pasillero" de muchos de los lugares, que se basan en una línea recta y no hacen justicia al juego. A parte, se nota que en ciertos capítulos han querido alargar mucho el juego y quizá hubiera estado mejor que se ahorrasen algunas partes de puzles y batallas un tanto repetitivas. Cabe destacar que la música es probablemente una de las mejores que hay en los videojuegos, con temas míticos que pasarán a la historia. Estoy deseando que salga la segunda parte de este remake para continuar con la historia de este juegazo. 9,1/10

It was extremely exciting seeing the characters redone in more modern graphics, and I absolutely loved the characters and voice acting (although still, wth about Barret's weird sunglasses?). I was not thrilled about the side quests as they were lackluster and didn't enrich the story at all. I also understand the whole Tifa/Cloud/Aerith love triangle, but they made it a little weird and added some additional weird extra flirtiness with Jesse, I loved her character otherwise.

    I could forgive all of that and would have given it at least an 8 if it hadn't been for the odd time dementors. That just made the whole story lean toward the ridiculous side. I also was disappointed with how they treated Biggs, Wedge, and (possibly) Jesse's original deaths. The original gave so much meaning to Barret's story, and now Wedge was saved by a time dementor, then maybe killed offscreen later randomly? I don't know, it just all seemed out of place.

    The ending is what makes me fear for the rest of the series. I don't think I will buy the 2nd until I know how the story will go. If they hadn't said from the getgo it was going to be a fairly faithful recreation, I wouldn't be so disappointed. Other than the discrepancies, the game was pretty, the combat was fun, and the rest of the story was enriched. I particularly liked how they added more to the Wall Market. It was never going to be a shot-for-shot remake and while the padding sometimes is a little much I really enjoyed it because it allowed me to spend more time with these characters and really fall in love with this world. Yes the ending was changed but that leads back into the name of the next part, Rebirth, implying that the game won’t stay the same because of the ending. Now that fate isn’t running the show anymore the game is free to change, and I feel that fact makes it worth 60 dollars every couple years, since it’s this long and it’s a new experience. 10/10 can’t wait to play again. also just thinking about some of the scenes in this game literally causes me to cry, or become irrationally happy, so if that helps to sell you on the game, please just buy it. to me, despite the few flaws, its my favorite.… Expand

    I wish this remake would never end! Although my most favourite entry in the series is Final Fantasy IX, I enjoy Clouds charm a lot. Please Squire remake Final Fantasy IX! I solute to Vivi, Zadine, Stainer. To all lovers of the 7 I commend you on o play 9th. I swear you wold cry just as much at the end if not more!

    Amazing Combat Systems, great character work when the characters work they are great and when they don’t it’s funny. Some classic Japanese game moments like a dance scene or a flying house boss fight. My only problem is that some of the backgrounds look like **** green screens and it was a bit long in some places.

I found the boss battles to be painfully tedious because of how much of a damage sponge they all are. It's like when the developers were creating the amount of health each boss had, they just hit the pushed the number 9 until the data overloaded the CPU.

    Finally, the thing that really turned me off from the game was having to constantly swap between characters in real time combat. This was such a tedious process. After my 1st playthrough I thought I did something wrong because I was not enjoying the game despite everyone telling me it is a masterpiece. After my 2nd playthrough I realized I just don't like this game all that much.

    The story isn't even all the impressive either. It is basically one of those 'big evil cooperation wants to take over the world' trope. There is nothing special about it. This game does nothing spectacular and everything this game has to offer is mediocre at best.    … Expand

Over all a good game would be a 7 out of 10 but have to drop it down to a 6 because of the combat getting boring after a while,chapter 18 being too long,some of the characters and for all the implied rape stuff and the writing really falls off a bit in the last few chapters.
    Story: Honestly aside from a few dumb moments with characters like Cloud not doing things that they really should be aka killing certain characters and pretty much everything that happens in wall market and the end of the game and with all the rape related plot stuff the story was actually pretty good but the writing in the last three chapters really ruin the game. And don't get me started on all the times they don't kill the villains. But for real how did this get rated T with all the rape plots going on.
    Game length: Tho its a somewhat long game 20+ hours, if you're able to play for multiple hours at a time then the game kinda flies by and doesn't feel as long as it actually is barring the last few chapters that feel like they go on for ever due to poor writing, combat getting dull and all the cut scenes interrupting the combat/boss fights all the time.
    Combat: Combat stays the same with almost zero changes the whole game and tho it starts off fine/some what fun at around the 18 hour mark i was getting bored of it and it doesn't help that chapter 18 around the 20 hour mark drags on for too long with it being pretty much just boring combat.
    Cloud: Cloud is too much of a pussi even Aerith is more willing to kill the people i want to kill, i mean he was willing to kill that guy earlier in the game to keep him from talking but stops Aerith from killing the people who should die, so dumb, he's very inconsistent when it comes to killing people flip flopping threw out the whole game from being willing to kill and not wanting or letting others kill very dumb and it makes him a little unlike able.
    Biggs: Honestly went into this thinking i was gonna dislike him as i then not to like male characters but shockingly hes the only character i didn't dislike anything about, not saying he's the only character i like or hes the best character (3rd best) it's just that every other character has something i don't like about them tho mostly just tiny things.
    Jessie: Easily best girl and tho for other characters there "cute" moments don't really work for me and then to be a little annoying Jessie's "cute" moments did work for me and shes easily the 2nd best character in the game.
    Tifa: Over all shes fine but her "cute" moments didn't work for me i think its mainly due to her face seeming a bit off to me same goes for all the kid characters there faces just don't seem right not really sure why.
    Aerith: Over all i did like her, her "cute" moments for the most part worked for me and i liked that she wanted to kill the people i wanted to kill even tho Cloud wouldn't let us for some F-ing reason but there are parts where her writing isn't great.
    Barret: Honestly he's super annoying there was like one thing he said in the whole game i actually liked but over all i didn't like him he does get less annoying as the game goes on.
    Johnny: Honest kinda liked him he's pretty much the best part of the wall market bit of the game aside from Aerith.
    Wedge: Like with Biggs and Johnny i shockingly liked Wedge but one thing i didn't like about him was how the game kept trying to use him as a joke if it wasn't for that i would have liked him as much as i did Biggs.
    Red Xiii: Honestly shocked i liked this character so much he's easily the best character in the game with the only thing i didn't like about him being the forced drama with Barret thankfully that drama goes away pretty quick but would've been better if it wasn't there at all.
    Villains: Only gonna talk about a few as many of them are easily forgotten 1 The bike guy whatever his name was was too much like the Joker with Cloud being his Batman and i wasn't a fan of that 2 Hojo poorly set up like pretty much all the villains tho is the 2nd best written villain in the game tho the gameplay for that bit of the game does drag on a bit and on top of that i really didn't like him mainly due to the implied raping of Aerith 3 Heidegger is the only villain i actually liked because hes a good bad guy whose actually well set up and well written unlike someone like Reno who isn't really set up, poorly written and over all just sucks 4 Don Corneo is a good bad guy whose well set up debatablely well written and easy to hate and want to kill with the implied rape 6 Rude and Reeves both come across as somewhat good people mainly Reeves so i'm not too sure how i feel about them since there some what like able 7 Leslie Really didn't like this guy even tho the game tries to change your mind on him by having him help you and by implying the rape of his fiancee by Don but that doesn't change my feelings for him and i still want to kill him as much as i do Don all it does is make me feel bad for his girl and thats all    … Expand

    An incomplete game with a combact system that is a braindead button smashing, the linear exploration is poor, the characters development are completely stereotyped, and the whole plot feels like a pudding and boring filler of the original game.

    They made my girl "Tifas" breast smaller. this is an outrage! I will not be purchasing this game because of its lack of staying faithful with the original.

    I loved diving deep into this universe. The characters attract you so hard to it. With some time, their future matter to you, and it's pretty natural. The story, eventually, grabs you either. In this case, graphics on PS4 make justice to the acting. So damn beautiful. The OST is on the same level. It just sticks on your head, no matter what. The gameplay was a    Amazing experience.

    The gameplay was a little strange to me since I am not used to JRPGs. Even still, since I wanted to advance into the plot so hard, I forced myself to keep going on and eventually understood it.

    There are some negative points, like textures in some scenarios, some sections longer than they should be, and more. But since my final experience with it was so good, those points are unimportant. I super recommend it.    … Expand

    Final Fantasy VII Remake is the game we've been waiting for from Square Enix for so long. Atmospheric, interesting and exciting all your attention modern jRPG with an interesting story and spectacular battles. To achieve the ideal, the project only needs more even graphics and all the content from the original release. If you were waiting for a turn-based classic with new graphics you will most likely be disappointed, since the game has changed a lot. Everyone else is happy with the release of the first really powerful single-player release from the internal Square Enix studio for many years. Especially after the failure of Final Fantasy XV.

    What matters is still intact, and that’s the heart and soul of one of the greatest stories in video game history. It’s a return to form that has felt a long time in coming, and what’s even better is that there’s still at least two more games of this quality to come...They can’t mess this up, can they?
