    Final Fantasy was a series I didn't know how to approach, and it always seemed not for me, that was until FF7 Remake.

    This is one of the few games that made me cry, with the engaging story, memorable characters, interesting world and flued and fun gameplay/combat, it was amazing. I have nothing but praise, and i could go on for hours. Easy, easy to recommended.

    The game is great even when it is not adding much new to the story or FF7 history. But it fills in the space between, makes it a more living world, gives more depth to the characters and surrounding world. It looks and feels great. I like the new combat system and the fantastic graphics. I am eager to see Yuffie soon ;)

    Amazing game I would give it 10 but…the end is a kinda weird, I liked that in this remake Zack is “alive” I love Zack, but that ending with Aerith and Tifa and Barret is weird, and I didn't like that it was like:
    Cloud: Sephiroth is still alive

    I'm NOT an OG FF player but I always been interested in the FF7 world ever since I saw Cloud and Sephiroth in the KH games. I wanted to play FF7 so bad that I went out of my way and tried the OG even though i don't like turn based RPGs and I still couldn't make myself to play it. When this got announced and was said to have action gameplay I screamed like an ape seeing fruit for the firstI'm NOT an OG FF player but I always been interested in the FF7 world ever since I saw Cloud and Sephiroth in the KH games. I wanted to play FF7 so bad that I went out of my way and tried the OG even though i don't like turn based RPGs and I still couldn't make myself to play it. When this got announced and was said to have action gameplay I screamed like an ape seeing fruit for the first time! And holy moly is the gameplay so good! They invented a whole different way of playing action games and its brilliant! The one thing that might be bad if you are an OG player you might find the story super slow cause it only covers like 1/3 of the original story only. I can absolutely see OGs getting mad over the story but come on the gameplay is absolutely amazing! You gotta give them kudos for that atleast! Anyways, I absolutely LOVE this game and I couldn't find anything about this game that would tilt me off the planet even after 100%ing it. Game designers learn pls.… Expand

    Admito que eu não esperava pela qualidade. Não sou muito fã da franquia, tanto que é o primeiro jogo da franquia que eu jogo por ter sido disponibilizado na Plus do PS4. Tanto gráficos como mecânicas de luta e personagens foi um grande destaque, mas, ouso falar que a trilha sonora foi a melhor parte. Simplesmente incrível.

    As a third person blend of real-time combat mixed with some menu-based decision making, Final Fantasy VII Remake is a masterclass in gorgeous graphics, excellent characters, memorable and breath-taking music, and a gripping    As a preface, this the only entry in the Final Fantasy series that I have actually played and finished (Final Fantasy 14 and 15 being the other two I have dabbled in.)

    As a third person blend of real-time combat mixed with some menu-based decision making, Final Fantasy VII Remake is a masterclass in gorgeous graphics, excellent characters, memorable and breath-taking music, and a gripping story. Gorgeous Square Enix-esque cutscenes glue together this rather long winded game. When the story here is good, it’s fantastic. Boss fights are well-crafted, and abilities have plenty of weight and impact to make you feel like your attacks are doing serious damage. At the same time, however, there are far too many instances in the game in which these very same cutscenes display very clear signs of game-padding (any of those factory missions in which your traveling between platforms labeled with various letters.) In terms of content, this game’s story is only a fraction of what it’s original version was. However, I never felt it detract from my experience too much.

    Even as a part of such a large franchise, FFVII remake is an excellent standalone title, and I can legitimately recommend it to any and all gamers looking for a thrilling story and gameplay experience.

    Gameplay is really good overall with my one main complaint being the Lock On function feeling finicky and odd and likes to drop at very inopportune    Lots of additional cutscene and dialogue with the game plus re-envisioned areas. Area wise it isn't as large as you might think and sometimes there are some amazing backdrops of detail that you are only in for a very limited amount of time.

    Through the game I feel that the boss fights were really fun until the last segment of the game and then they either required a trick or ended up being long and tiring. I don't mind a long boss fight as long as its engaging but I feel that they were trying to show off at the end and it was more about showing off what they could do with the game engine than enjoyable fights.    … Expand

    Amazing title. I first was sceptical, since I did not play the original game back then. But with it being in PS Plus, I gave it a chance. And boy it did not disappoint. Really liked the art style and the combat system. Still a bit unfinished for me, but the story was amazing for me as a new player.

    My introduction into the world of Final Fantasy.
    I'm actually speechless, this game is absolutely incredible. it's bigger and better than the original in every possible way, a huge improvement when it comes to the visuals, gameplay, animations, character models and pretty much everything you can think of.
    I'm going to start with the gameplay first, well what can I say, oh my freaking    My introduction into the world of Final Fantasy.
    I'm actually speechless, this game is absolutely incredible. it's bigger and better than the original in every possible way, a huge improvement when it comes to the visuals, gameplay, animations, character models and pretty much everything you can think of.

    I'm going to start with the gameplay first, well what can I say, oh my freaking god, arguably the best combat system i've ever seen in a videogame to date, the mix of Turn Based with Real Time Action is honestly flawless, it works perfectly and it feels very satisfying. The materia system is amazing, there is a lot of customization, it's easy to use and understand and makes the combat so unique and enjoyable. Also the boss fights are insane, there are so many of them, and they are quite challenging, you can't really play mindlessly and expect to win easily, you actually need patience and strategy to beat them, and I really liked that.

    Now when it comes to the characters, I think they're great, they have likeable personalities and slowly develop pretty well, their designs are fantastic and memorable, and you really get to bond with them which makes you feel like you're part of the team.

    It's worth to mention that the game is actually very big, the world feels alive despite being limited, you can just get lost in it. There is a lot of content, side quests, various minigames, VR missions and rewarding activities, so many things to do and places to explore, it's a pretty long experience and it's also very replayable, trying out new builds and doing the challenges is very fun.

    As for the main story, it starts pretty tame but things go wild quick, and even though it drags quite a bit later on, there are so many spectacles in it, some of the cutscenes are just cinematic masterpieces, everything looks gorgeous.
    The only issue I have with the story is the writing and some of the dialogue, it's pretty interesting for the most part, but it can get quite weak sometimes, some plot points aren't explained well and don't really make sense either, the story is clearly unfinished and I'm hoping the sequels do a decent job at explaining few things. I respect the fact that the writers managed to surpass our expectations by altering parts of the overarching story, it's a very risky but ambitious thing to do, and I really want them to nail it and achieve their goal. Overall I like the story a lot, and I believe that it's only going to get better from now on, I'm very excited to see how everything turns out in the end.

    Lastly, I really need to mention the stellar soundtrack, it's just so beautiful, one of the most iconic and magical soundtracks in a JRPG ever.

    It really is an outstanding videogame, It's not only an improved version of the original Final Fantasy VII, but it stands on its own very well. I would go as far to say that this is the definitive Remake, and the best Remake I've ever played.

    FFVII remake is one of those games I wish I could experience for the first time again. From the beautiful visuals, amazing soundtrack, and engaging battle systems, it’s just so damn fun. It’s everything I’ve ever looked for in a game and I can’t wait to see how part 2 plays out

    The first thing that made me want to try out this game was my love for the final fantasy series, when I heard a remake of the original was coming out I was excited, to play it. It took me a year to get the game and to be honest, I’m happy with my purchase.     A faithful remake with a playful tone that opens up new timelines for the series. Retains the soul of the original but brings it up to speed with a bang of a motorcycle engine. Graphics and gameplay are both a joy but occasional linearity and some padding keep it from being the perfect remake.

The game exceeded my expectations in every way -- a gorgeous story, some of the most well-written characters of the entire FF series, gorgeous graphics and soundtrack, and an engaging and challenging combat system. I can't comment on how this compares to the original entry, but I can promise that any person approaching this game with an open-mind and expectations on what the remake project is trying to achieve, they will thoroughly love the game. My only small bit of criticism is with some unnecessary lulls in the story and action which could have been tightened up in my opinion. Still, only a minor gripe in comparison with the absolutely achievement of a game this is.… Expand

I am really appreciated SQUARE had the "guts" to remake this game without disappointing the old fans and also (I strongly believe!) attracting new fans for the franchise.

    SQUARE had finally achieved to figure the battle system for the new era    I already excited by this game when I was playing the original one in my childhood, this remake is once again re-defined the "remake" of the game.     SQUARE had finally achieved to figure the battle system for the new era of FF by advancing the ATB with the ARPG elements.

    I fell in love with the Final Fantasy series with FFVI and the original FFVII was my favourite of them all. The remake expanded on the story and made for some fantastic nostalgia, thank you Square.

    The story is paced in a big open world with marvellous and rich architecture and different locations, adding to the world building. In my opinion it's a truly impeccable game for it's time and even though the targeted audience are teens, the game can be seen from a more mature perspective as well. The themes match every character perfectly and even adds to their personality even more, you can listen to tifa's theme for example.     Fun, challenging combat. Excellent story. Amazing graphics. They took the original story and added to it. This is more like a re-telling. First 4 hours of the original game and they make it into 40 here. Anyone saying Its not the same story must not be paying attention. Worth it if you enjoy fast paced heavily story driven games. Cannot wait for the next release

    Los gráficos, la banda sonora, el gameplay están buenísimos, perfecta la recreación, el problema está en querer agregar cosas nuevas a la historia y de la mano de Nomura, no era necesario y arruino parte de la experiencia, da miedo esperar que rayos va a hacer Nomura con las siguientes partes, que ese es otro problema, el juego está incompleto, apenas sales de Midgar termina el juego.Los gráficos, la banda sonora, el gameplay están buenísimos, perfecta la recreación, el problema está en querer agregar cosas nuevas a la historia y de la mano de Nomura, no era necesario y arruino parte de la experiencia, da miedo esperar que rayos va a hacer Nomura con las siguientes partes, que ese es otro problema, el juego está incompleto, apenas sales de Midgar termina el juego.

Gráficamente es impresionante y la recreación de los modelos muy fieles a los originales y realmente sientes que estas andando por Midgar. Entiendo que en cuanto historia halla disidentes me parece una decisión acertada crear algo nuevo. En cuanto a lo negativo realmente algunos enemigos seA pesar de no seguir las líneas de la saga FFVII REMAKE es un juego de acción muy divertido. Gráficamente es impresionante y la recreación de los modelos muy fieles a los originales y realmente sientes que estas andando por Midgar.     never played the original game, but this one - amazing. story and characters got me. And suprisingly gameplay is interesting and fun, altough this game is not like any other modern huge open world game. Deffinetly i would recommend to play this game at least once.

    - En el apartado jugable nos encontramos un juego con luces y sombras. Cuando manejamos a cualquiera de los personajes, especialmente a Cloud Strife que es el personaje principal, podemos acostumbrarnos muy rápido a ir corriendo a todas partes, el problema es cuando el juego te obliga literalmente a ir andando en lugares donde nop debería, dando una sensación de pérdida de control que se repite muy a menudo. Otra de esas sombras en el juego son aquellos momentos donde la cámara se mueve a placer. ya sea por algún punto de control donde quieren mostrarte algo, o el camino a seguir, que está muy bien, pero no cuando te arrebatan el control de la cámara por largo tiempo para mostrarte un lugar o edificio que se ve en 2 segundos y no necesitas 30. En cualquier caso, el juego en el apartado jugable está bastante pulido y por lo general se siente dinámico y fluido.
    Gráficos
    En el apartado gráfico sin duda nos encontramos ante un portento. Por lo general las texturas son de alta resolución, están bien implementadas y es un gustado observar detalle. Pero también tiene sombras, apartados poco trabajados que son fácilmente reconocibles ya que se recogen en 2 supuestos. Cada vez que miramos desde las barriadas a la plataforma sobre nosotros, observamos texturas de poca calidad, borrosas. Cada vez que miramos desde la plataforma al suelo a las barriadas, Nos ponen una especie de collage de edificios sin perspectiva, completamente plano que te sacan un poco de la historia y la última son las lejanías que tenemos el mismo problema 0 detalle. Digamos en en distancias cortas y dentro del mundo pasillo creado para que recorramos gráficamente es alucinante, más allá, todo elemento visible por el jugador da pena verlo.
    Música
    No me considero muy fan de la música de los Final Fantasy porque en numerosas ocasiones me parece que no pega la música con la acción que estamos viviendo. Entiendo su significado en FF de los años 90, a si que lo voy a entender en este remake y en el contexto de los Final Fantasy, entiendo que está bien aunque no me enamore.
    Historia
    - La historia me ha gustado bastante, sigue la tónica de cualquier FF, una lucha contra un mal superior y los héroes que emprenden dicha lucha. Los personajes me han parecido muy carismáticos y no resulta difícil empatizar con ellos.     - El juego, directo y sin hacer misiones secundarias unas 23 horas. Por lo que entreteniéndote un poco con él y haciendo algunas de las misiones que te proponen sube rápidamente a 30 horas. Creo que es preferible un juego disfrutable en 30 horas a uno de 100 horas. Yo no estoy en contra de que hayan decidido fraccionarlo siempre y cuando sea una causa justificada y en este caso me ha parecido un juego completo estas 23 - 30 horas jugadas.

    En el apartado del doblaje nos encontramos el mayor punto negro. En primer lugar no tiene doblaje al castellano que por supuesto ya por sí mismo es un punto negativo. Nos encontramos ante una copia en inglés. Almenos en inglés las voces están muy bien acompañadas y siguen ese aspecto jovial del juego, pero los subtítulos en castellano son una auténtica pesadilla. No dan una, se inventan las cosas respecto a la versión en inglés. Te de adelantan otras que no están diciendo los personajes. Omiten información, otra directamente la endulzan para que sea menos duro sin entender el motivo real. En definitiva un auténtico desastre. Es una indignación estar escuchando a los personajes en inglés y ver que los subtítulos no corresponden en absoluto a lo que están diciendo. No entiendo como pueden traducir un juego en modo "traducción libre" es incomprensible, ¿Os imagináis una película o serie donde los subtítulos siguen una pista a la película o serie original pero sin decir lo mismo?     I must say, the game started really great as they follow the same journey as I remember in my childhood. The character's build-up is better than the original version. Tifa and Aerith have some amazing and deep moments, as I have grown to know more about them.

    For a PS4, Square R managed to make one of the best playing, best looking games ever in my opinion. I'm still surprised how this game runs on the base PS4. Sacrifices had to be made, but it doesn't deter from the experience and I can't recommend it enough.

The new renditions of the characters, expanded story/lore, action combat (with a hint of turn-based commands), amazing visuals/animation and sound make this game almost perfect. One thing to keep in mind, this is not a typical 1:1 remake.     Every thing is good, from the combat system to storyline. Make you feel like watching a movie and having power to actually intervene with the plot.     The combat was challenging without being frastuated , the graphics was amazing and the story terrific. On the downside, the classic boring side quests something which is very usual to rpg games. I understand some fans disappointed from the changes but for me is something different to look forward for the next installments.

This game was both nostalgic and new, I enjoyed reliving the first portion of the original classic (FF7 is my 3rd favorite FF game), and they gave the beginning of the story so much more meaning and the additions to the story really expand the universe of the FF7 series, and I can't wait for the sequel and see where it goes from here.
    Each character had great character arcs that really expanded who the characters were, my favorite was Barrett's story arc and seeing how passionate he was and seeing how he and Clouds relationship evolved over the course of the game. All character's personalities got really fleshed out and I felt like i got to know all of the characters better than i knew them before.

    The Combat was great, they took what was good from FF15 and combined it with was good about turned based combat and really made a great combat system similar to Kingdom Hearts, but with a much more fluid feeling.

    I loved the old Final Fantasy VII back in the days and due to the many changes - mostly due to the removal of the turn-based combat system - I was very skeptical and didn't feel any interest in playing it. A couple of months ago I somehow stumpled across the game, gave it a try and binged through it like I haven't in a long, long time.

    I've never played a Final Fantasy game but I've heard by many that Final Fantasy VII was one of the most important videogames ever made. Final Fantasy VII Remake was my first game in the series and... oh boy, where do I begin! The story is good in my opinion and even though the ending is divisive, I liked it personally and I think that it's too early to criticize it. The main charactersI've never played a Final Fantasy game but I've heard by many that Final Fantasy VII was one of the most important videogames ever made. Final Fantasy VII Remake was my first game in the series and... oh boy, where do I begin! The story is good in my opinion and even though the ending is divisive, I liked it personally and I think that it's too early to criticize it. The main characters are some of my favorites in a videogame! Most of the side-characters are amazing as well, especially Jessie, Sephiroth and Reno. The combat system is excellent! It's like a combination of Hack 'n' Slash & Turn Based at the same time, there are 4 completely different party members to control, tons of different skills, items and builds to use, it's very deep and organic, it feels awesome and it looks phenomenal! The RPG elements and the Materia system are just wonderful! The bosses are some of the best I've ever encountered in a videogame. The music is fantastic for sure and it fits the visuals perfectly! Visually, this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played! The lighting, the animations, the textures & the setting are breathtaking! Lastly, the set pieces and the visual representation are the best I've ever seen! Some cutscenes look like they are out of a CGI movie and there are so many jaw-dropping moments! I do have few minor complaints though; the textures look bad at times, some chapters feel significantly longer than they should've been (Chapter 6, Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 14), and the side-quests are uninteresting.

    Pros: + Interesting story + Awesome characters + Flawless gameplay + Outstanding set pieces + Incredible music & boss fights + Absolutely gorgeous visuals

    Cons:
    Texture issues
    Minor pacing issues
    Weak side-quests

    Narrative: 7/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Content: 8/10 Characters: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Graphics/Audio: 10/10

    Simply put, Final Fantasy VII Remake is one my favorite videogames of all time and I can't wait for the next installments.

    To me this is a perfect example of how a classic game ought to be rebooted. The 1997 original game is but an inspiration, as they have updated a large number of aspects: gameplay, graphics and even the story. Most of these changes are wise and foster the creation of a new series of game. I completed my playthrough in around 52 hours on normal difficulty and it involved just a little bit of farming. What I want to say is that there is a lot of content even though it's not the complete FF7 experience. I liked also the different characters and the Midgar environment. For me, this kind of setting is unique and is not generic (that's what I want to see in video games).     Some boss combats are way too long and at one moment, I found myself frustrated because there was no autosave between 2 long boss fights (this may be challenging for players who play in a small time-window)

    Some parts of the game are really linear amd we are forced to go in specific directions

    End game is really confusing

    This is still a 9,2/10 game for me ! I never played FF7 before so I think it may be a great experience for newcomers !    … Expand

    Your favorite Final Fantasy blown up to ridiculous proportions by way of Michael Bay and injected with a bunch of fluff and anime treacle. Still a mind-blowing experience for anyone who was a fanboy for the original. I didn't really mind the gofer quests that much and I can't wait to see what they do with the series.

    Can't express my hapiness playing this again with everything renewed. Even though there is some graphic issues like doors with poor quality or people poping on the screen out of the ground when you are running in the town (fixed with the ps5 version). It doesn't spoil the experience but could be solved. Looking forward to the last part.

    Final Fantasy VII Remake is the game we've been waiting for from Square Enix for so long. Atmospheric, interesting and exciting all your attention modern jRPG with an interesting story and spectacular battles. To achieve the ideal, the project only needs more even graphics and all the content from the original release. If you were waiting for a turn-based classic with new graphics you will most likely be disappointed, since the game has changed a lot. Everyone else is happy with the release of the first really powerful single-player release from the internal Square Enix studio for many years. Especially after the failure of Final Fantasy XV.

    What matters is still intact, and that’s the heart and soul of one of the greatest stories in video game history. It’s a return to form that has felt a long time in coming, and what’s even better is that there’s still at least two more games of this quality to come...They can’t mess this up, can they?
