Some other years have brought in new things, such as the champions league and certified leagues. But this game has absolutely nothing new offer but an absolute attack focused game.     What the f*** is the defence AI? It is the most horrendous thing I have ever used. It just doesn't help. Players with the ball inches away don't make the least of efforts to tackle it. Defenders only run when the attacker is already 1on1 with the keeper. Goals are so easy that every single one is equal to previous. Go waste your money on a knew sweater!

    Clunky game play. The pace of players has too much impact on the performance. Glitchy. And the worst part is the help department of EA is absolutely brutal. The missed giving me rewards for completing objectives and told me they wish they could help, but cannot. I respond and respond getting a different person each time regurgitating the same nonsense.

    The mechanics of this game is terrible. I dominate by playing a certain way. The defending is awful. I have seen high school players track and defend better. It has a very arcade feel to it in that they made it so games have 5+ goals for each team. Defends just stand around. And offensive players just stand or they just run straight. Setting aside how it's encouraging people into loot box gambling, and how it rewards people who are willing to pay for packs (because for most people, success is depending on having the best players), the gameplay is glitchy and flawed, and while on the one hand claims to be sim-like with its inconsistent and biased refereeing, encourages the use of skill moves and button bashing (or right stick twiddling in FIFA) to bypass any skill requirement - when you see Ian Wright doing fancy skill moves you'll understand how dumb it is. It rewards players who can't be bothered to learn to defend by making AI defending overstrong (and actually punishing people who like to control the defending themselves). Then you have issues like gifting some favoured people special and icon cards to use in public competitions against paying public; that if you aren't willing to spend all day trading or buying points then you'll always be second class and will never see the top players; the often terrible servers (although these have been improved in the last month or so, only taken 6 months).

    There is stuff to like, the online modes are slick, the menus fine. But there is so much to not like that I definitely won't be buying it again next year or for some time. And unless you like games that drive you to absolute rage, I recommend you avoid it.    … Expand

    It's the same every year. And I don't mean the same game ( that is actually implied) but the game launches good and enjoyable. Then, with the first patch they f*ck up everything. The bounces are the most frustrating thing ever and let's not talk about handicap. I'll think about a long long time before buying fifa 22. This story have been repeating itself since fifa 18.

    There has never been a Fifa game with worse defending than this. It may be an all round better game than Fifa 20 but thats not saying much when it's being compared to arguably the worst game i have ever played. This game isn't even worthy of a detailed review. I hate it.

    It is CRAP. Tried playing career. Nah my position switches mid game and i cant get it back. Now it just says stay in position. Tackling doesnt work. Graphics are alright but the rest is awful. Wouldnt recommend.

    The career mode has never been more blandm copy pasted and trash. I have now sold the game for half of what I bought it for. I will never, ever, again in my life buy another FIFA game. I have been buying them    I only play FIFA for the career mode.

    The worst fifa I've ever played. Genuinely don't know how they can get away with releasing something that is this bad and unfinished. Nothing to do with the fact its almost the same game as last year, that's never really bothered me. The game is just broken from top to bottom.

    While playing online, whoever the artificial intelligence wants is the game that wins. It doesn't matter how well you play. You may get nervous in the game. I haven't been playing for years, so I thought I'd give it a chance, and I encountered the same scene again.

    FIFA has a big identity crisis. It tries to add little stuff every year but fails in having good and enjoyable game mechanics. Also, the graphics still suck, certainly compared to its biggest concurrent. It is broken in its very core. It also tries to knock money out of your pocket any chance it gets.     I am playing FUT for 4 years now and FUT21 is by far most scripted of them all. It literally doesn't let you win the game when you supposed to lose. In my region, almost all of the KSA players buy fifa points and simply the game does not let you beat them. This is absolutely WORST fifa ever, don't waste your money, go and buy ride to hell retribution instead of this trash.

    There is some improvement with career mood but not big enough still terrible you can’t buy any player you want because other team doesn’t have enough depth I’m giving them money so they can buy a replacement. we had better career 2008 pes. Ultimate team is all about speed. The game play is terrible as fifa 20 with a little unnoticed change. They have no competition so they get away with it

    Neglected career mode as per usual except a couple of minor changes. Player career mode is untouched, these are two modes that have untapped potential and it's a shame to see it so neglected. Late to the review party, but seeing the 0.7 it's vastly deserving of much less than that.

If you get close to the striker, you foul him and give away a penalty. Slow players doesn't even have a place in FIFA because there's no use passing as scoring on counters and using skill stick is better than passing playing. Instead of leaping into the future, FIFA 21 takes half a step forward and two steps sideways in an attempt to differentiate itself from its predecessor well enough to rationalize spending money.
