    It's amazing that everytime a new patch is released the game just becomes worst, even more broken.
    Not just career mode, but ultimate team gameplay is literally broken, one game your players feel like you're playing with 11 Messis and the next one they can't even make a good pass, completely awful.

    Maybe 2 or 3 (low impact) updates to career mode. Nothing really changed. Why do good teams suck? Why can't I create my own league? Why can't I create my own kit? Why can't I create my own stadium? Why can't EA make any meaningful update to career mode?

    Review is about online "competitive" mode of the game. Personally i dont care for career mode or single player. It may be a 10/10 game in those.

    Game is better than 18 and 19, but cant give it a score above 0 because lag and scripting (momentum) makes the game infuriating. And its a zero because EA can fix those things in a single day.     Started good with EA Access, very quickly became very bad. Huge lack of consistency in gameplay, some games with speed up lag and others lagging so badly, with some good games mixed in. Recent update made it unplayable for me, going from a decent record to losing 10 in a row and not able to string two passes together or make a simple interception. Put me off the fifa series for good, I’llStarted good with EA Access, very quickly became very bad.     The game really is very bad I do not recommend it and it hurts every time I remember that I spent thirty dollars on something like that, unfortunately the defense does not work at all they tried to compensate for something with the attack but it is not currently competition in playability competition Pes 2020 Ea sports should be disappointed to have created such a deplorable game ....

    Seriously?? when the **** are we going to get the possibility to even train acceleration, stamina training is only on a easy training task making it really slow now to train and potentials are irrelevant basically, if your player is under 20 years old, 60 ish rated and has over 80+ potential you can easily get him to 99 by age 25 with just 1 training session a week. Theres so many bugs its unbelieveable that they have been so blatantly ignored for litterally 5-6 fifas straight, for instance, the infamous cant stop the calendar bug which ruins youth academy reports and makes you have to save all the time now during every month since you can also get injuries randomly half way into a month, the squad updates on the first day of every month, and with that there are alot of injuries, i litterally have to save 2 or 3 times before some months, ALSO IMPORTANT, WHY DOES THE FIRST OF NOVEMBER I THINK IT WAS ALWAYS HAVE A WAAAY HIGHER CHANCE OF INJURY THAN ANY OTHER MONTH, WTF. Im not crazy, i know for a fact its scripted into the game, ive played fifa religiously for decades, at least since fifa 12 this has been a thing, for this month you have to save before the month and reload at least 10 times+ every time and using sliders to remove injuries has absolutely no effect on this. so i would recommend setting up younth academies on the secound day, third day and fourth day of every month so you can save after every time, and reloading if you get a bunch of crap, With doing this you will have a full 94 potential team on average after 3 seasons if you make a rule that you cannot accept a player if he is under 82-94 potential to start with, also i have found out that if a player has 84-94 that is a 100% chance that he will have 94 or 95 potential,

    BUG FIXES, few but here are some:
    The fixed the ****ing player breaking bug that makes every shot be really weak like the player has 1 shot power and is chipping the shot simultaniously. this was really annoying and there was litterally no way to fix it, even training to 99shot power made no difference, completely ruined lots of players who would have been better than any player in football history. no thanks for fixing it though since i have seen this bug from at least fifa 14 at the earliest.

    BUG additions, do i really need to even mention one? i mean some of the bugs like the infinite training bug/infinite squad updates if done from the last to the first day of any month was kinda fixed although not really, the didnt fix it, if your playstation lags or have been on for a very long time the bug can still be done and it suggests it wasnt fixed at all, only fixed itself by chance of changing game mechanics.

    AI. oh the AI...
    The AI is completely robotic, what do i mean? it cheats, i checked, its not actually smart, its just cheating by adding way more stamina to players than would kill you in real life even if you were the most fit person ever, but all opposition players to 50 in every stat, in ultimate difficulty you can clearly see that the players are way better than that if you tried passing with that rating, your player would miss almost every pass, on ultimate no matter the stat, the computer is always 99 everything, even pace which is more clear to see that its cheating, because you can clearly see that your 99 pace winger will be catched up to by their 50 pace fullbacks on umtimate, and you can actually see the gradual pace increase when changing from one difficulty to another.

    the most obvious of all cheating evidence: When pressing a button there will be imput lag, FIFA is infamous for this, even in offline, its almost as bad as ultimate team, you shoot and it takes minimum 1 secound, sometimes it takes so long the game forgets you presses the shoot button and doesent shoot resulting in you walking the ball into the goalkeepers hands, also i swear on ultimate difficulty the input lag has been increased to take a longer time, giving the computer more time to read your input and know where your going, with player to player, the opposition is making a informed guess, but on computer, because of the imput lag which i believe is deliberate to make the ai more op, thus removing alot of time and money needed to program an actual good AI, the longer it takes for the imput.

    Sidenote: EA, please i beg you, just at least let us train every skill, composure is by far the most OP stat, try a 99 rated all 99 stat CM with 43 composure and then try him with 99 composure , after 99 composure he will score 5 goals every game, before it will be maybe 2 max if your me on professional. Also why is legendary easier than world class?? Lol, seriously it is, ****ed AI, anyway **** you EA, i hope you go under and some new company can create a game with love. i bet the total budget for Fifa is under 5000 dollars for all game development, i bet more is used on advertisements than actual game mechanics.    … Expand

Hopefully this is the year everyone finally realizes EA is reusing the same mechanics (same game really) over and over. This game is pretty much identical to Fifa 19 which was in my opinion the worst Fifa ever made. They don't need to make a new game, why would they? People areI'm very glad I didn't buy this.     1 meter passes go to wrong directions,we cant score to empty nets etc... because of this thing. Also FUT became a 4-5 months playable mode,you are fading its fun by releasing 90+ rated colorful cards to all players. Lastly,add more servers to Eastern    EA,get rid of the Composure stat from the players,this stat manuplates the gameplay by ai,we dont have the full control of players,

Didn't buy 19, didn't buy 20 and sad to see my friends still are falling in the trap, but at least it allows me to review. Just look at the second hand value of FIFA games to understand how unsustainable it is to release oneWorse and worse. The gameplay is horrible, slow and clunky passing, awful defending, terrible attacking. I understand that they’re trying to make it more realistic but this game just isn’t fun anymore. Being In division 1 in FIFA 19 to not even being able to hold division 7 inI want to like this game so badly as I am a massive fan of FIFA, but WOW this is the worst iteration in the franchise in years. The gameplay is horrible, slow and clunky passing, awful defending, terrible attacking. I understand that they’re trying to make it more realistic but this game just isn’t fun anymore.     Terrible game, matchmaking is awful! I'm playing my 78 rated team, worth 20k. I got the game a few days ago, and endlessly getting matched against teams worth £2-5M easy. I play well I work my ass off having chance after chance, and could easily come away with a result, but Messi shoots from 30 yards and scores. I have no chance.

I've been a diehard FIFA player for almost two decades and this is the first time I've felt completely let down by a game in the series. The gameplay is a shambles, defending doesn't work properly, goalkeepers rebound the most simplest of balls, players fall over due to completely unnecessary animations allowing strikers easy goals, player lock means you can't chase down loose balls by quickly switching players. These are just the basics I've spotted in 25 matches. I usually love switching between Ultimate Team and Career Mode, but it seems all EA want you to do these days is play UT, since that game mode works fairly solidly and Career Mode is broken beyond belief. New 'improvements' have been badly programmed to break the game, teams still aren't updated to represent the 2019/20 season, managers get sacked for the tiniest of reasons. Immersion in the game is non-existent since most teams field their weakest sides for absolutely no reason, resulting in top clubs facing relegation, all conference and player interactions are riddled with poor typos and grammar. My review doesn't even break the ice of how ridiculous this game is bugged, to think of how big of a fan base this franchise has feels like a complete slap in the face to the people like myself who have bought the game year in, year out. Unless there's signs of significant improvement, I think this will be my last purchase of a FIFA game for a long time to come. I've only played single player so far, since I can imagine playing online to be even more of a rage-inducing affair.… Expand

    Also what the heck is wrong with strong clubs? For some reason clubs like Barcelona and Bavaria, and most UK FC are one of the worst? Huh?

    I was playing FIFA since 2002 and I was always buying FIFA each year but this year... The worst FIFA ever! What’s going on with the defense!? I will never buy again FIFA at the release, what a waste of money!

    I always play career mode but this year I decided to play the other modes FUT and the seasons but these are terrible as well. the gameplay is terrible and full of glitches and in every mode the gameplay is different. They always downgrading some features and next They say we fixed it. Last year headers are good but this year they go very high in weird way

    Fifa 19 was also riddled with issues and EAs plan seemed to be releasing enough content to keep players off the pitch and the horrible gameplay - and spend their time playing the menus for cards and in-game currency.

    This year EA are providing almost no content and the extra time spent on the pitch has made the myriad of technical and gameplay issues even more apparent than last years iteration.

    Last years promo content had me firing up the game now and again for the whole gamecycle. This year I put the game back in the box less than 3 weeks in - and I doubt its getting back out.

    If you consider getting out after last years buggy mess - this is the year to save your money.    … Expand

    I've played Fifa since 94 or whatever and it seems to get worse for every year since their best edition around 2010 or so. For every season that pass you lose more and more steering to the computer, soon you can let the computer play on its own, mabye program a managergame? My review put down in words would be, it feels like programes on meth trying to program a pinballsimulator.

    Game play seems fun, I guess, but given that I buy the game for Career Mode, the game is nothing short of a shambolic disaster. Pretty much unplayable. I mean you can, but it is pointless if you want to progress, which is the entire point of the mode.

    But hey, it's not FUT, there are no MTXs, so EA simply does not care.

And that was a great decision because the game is complete **** and there’s only made a few minor changes since FIFA 19. Pro clubs remain untouched aswell do career mode with only a few minor changes that makes no ndifference in the overall experience. I feel like Pro Clubs have so much potential that EA just won’t use. If you look at NBA2k the MyPlayer mode is by far the most played, simply because 2k actually have use the potential of the create your own character mode… Expand

From FIFA 19 to 20, the game feels like you need to spend tens of hours mastering the new body positioning dynamics to just have an enjoyable game playing. 50/50 challenges should be indeed that, 50/50, however now 50/50 challenges where one player (attacker or defender) seem more like your on the losing end of 90/10. A player who is challenged by World Class difficulty on FIFA 19 will become intensely frustrated on semi-pro on FIFA 20.
    Ball control and passing is significantly harder this year. Instead of being a game where someone with little experience can pick up the controller and score some nice looking ,and well crafted, goals. You will find yourself asking "what, how did that happen?" On a positive note, the new Volta football is very nice addition to the game.

    Look away from FIFA 20. It's really not worth your money, time or storage space on your Playstation, Xbox or Switch.    … Expand

It seems like there is a pure focus on profits, stock-value and shareholders. If they don't improve things quickly sales will hopefully drop. And fellow gamers, please stop spending money on FUT-packs and other micro transaction nonsense. Since EA won't, if gamers can't, I hope governments will step in and outlaw all of these gambling-mechanics in games, at the very least for all games without an age restriction. This is not a football game, This is a random output generator designed primarily to take more and more of peoples money disguised as a football game, playing on peoples love for football... Shooting... when you aim in a specific direction and shoot, with any other type of game, it goes in that direction... in Fifa it only goes there 5% of the time, the other 95% it can go anywhere within a radius of where you aim meaning that it either goes wide, too high or towards the keeper, even if it does go where you are aiming, the keeper has the superhuman ability to save it, wherever you aim.. so this makes scoring near impossible and this leaves you with a sense of deep unsatisfaction, which does push you to play more believe it or not... anything you do, it just feels like you are at the mercy of if the game will let you do it, or if it will let your opponent, leaving you feeling a complete lack of control... you are banging your head against a wall with this game day after day... the definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over expecting differant results and that's exactly what this game is. I have lost 2 years of productivity in my life to this game and it is torture, weekends ruined, losing sleep and for what? For a broken game that gives you absolutely nothing in return, no satisfaction, no justification, not even a decent player from a pack that you spent 8 hours of your life to get, nothing... I would recommend anyone who has not played this game to stay far away because it will consume you a leave you with nothing, shame on EA for creating this monster, encouraging children gamble and waste so much time.    … Expand

    FIFA 20 is a better football simulation in overall compared to FIFA 19, but it’s still lagging behind its main competitor greatly. EA is losing the race to Konami, at least in this generation of consoles, where they used to dominate.
