Is it a good game? That’s the wrong question. The truest thing about Far Cry Primal is that above all else, and at the expense of all else, it’s an effective game.

Far Cry Primal is video game aspirin — numbing, and nondescript, but basically pleasant.

By far, the most satisfying element in Far Cry Primal has to be beast taming, regardless of how absurd it appears in action.

The nagging sense of never quite doing enough, of leaving so many red and orange spots on the map unresolved, doesn’t ever go away, and the plethora of options has the unfortunate effect of robbing the game’s slight story of what little tension it might have had.

Far Cry Primal is best played through subtraction. First thing, go into the options menu and turn off the mini-map. Takkar certainly doesn’t have a map, and using one is distraction that detracts from the beauty and horror of Oros. Ignore the extraneous missions, the ones that rely on formula and filler by, say, having you kill the same two warriors to save the same kidnapped Wenja. Seek out the upgrades you find most useful and skip the rest. Ignore the completion percentages. Take it slow.

I'm really happy Ubisoft decided to try something different with this one.

This is the best Stone Age game ever done, makes you feel like you are back in time surrounded by this incredible nature and animals.

The game looks great, and it sounds amazing, the open world is vast with tones of things to do.
Another great and fresh addition to the Far Cry games!!

Though tons of haters are **** about no guns and no vehicles, but I am glad that Ubisoft has the balls to do a game like this. The charactersThough tons of haters are **** about no guns and no vehicles, but I am glad that Ubisoft has the balls to do a game like this. The characters and voice acting is fantastic, you really do feel like you are in the stone age.
The graphics is worse than Far cry 4 in some part, but the nighttime is stunning.
Love the crafting and resource gathering elements, you need to find everything and make everything by yourself.
The boss fight is better in the game, finally not another QTE battle or just a decision .
The new beast master system is good but feels too op sometimes, cause the beast can kill many enemies by themselves. Also, this Farcry feels like it's been rush out the door too quickly, cause it has zero multiplayer.
It will be amazing if this game have Co-op or a PVP mode.
The game is more like a survival game with a story than a FPS game.
And in animations, terrain, animals model, water effect.this game do feels like a reskin of FC4.I really hope Ubisoft don't do this again with the next Farcry game.
Overall, the game is good, not a supereb game to surpass FC3 and FC4,but not a complete failure like AC unity or watchdogs.

It is indeed a pretty game with a peculiar setting, but lacks any soul. The gameplay is repetitive to hell and makes you feel like doing the same thing all over again.
There some interesting components for this game but overall its just the same mechanics from the other Far Cry games. The story is absolutely generic and a chore. Taming animals seems like a cheap way of playing once you reached the higher levels. In fact there is hardly any weapons in this game and you just become dependent on the animals.
