There’s just an overall lack of polish to the combat system, storytelling, and flow of gameplay that belies any goodwill I might have carried into this experience. When the hardest thing about a game is finding the strength to slog through its mundane gameplay and infuriatingly slipshod combat system, it’s time to look for a challenge — or simple fun, even — elsewhere. So, I loved the game. I had no performance problems or glitches. The scenarios and the level design are really cool. The story is interesting. Yes, the camera angle is fixed and it would be better if it were free, but I still don't see that as a problem. And the game has a certain degree of challenge as dark souls- It's not just crushing buttons.

I have to be fair its a good game at its core and pretty impressive for a small studio. Yeah its cluncky on mechanics and has a fixed camera. I say the new gamers won't like it at all because its a challenge and not just button mashing madness without a story because they don't like to read.Is its a souls like game somewhst but more a mix. Old school gamers will love it because you have to you your mind a little bit and no hand holding. Theres not a huge difficulty spike anywhere but you will have to grind a little but the backtracking you should ne ok if your not skipping over enemies. I can't really see the low score or bashing it has got compared to some new shooters and hack n slashes that are crap from triple A studios and its all praise knowing the game can be beat fast and without much skill or thought. Im not going to name them all but some have 88 for ratings. Despite its problems its woth a shot if you love real rpg's for its price point. Expand

Eternity: The Last Unicorn is a very enjoyable experience, unpolished, yes, however it is a great start to what could be a stellar franchise if handled properly. The game is centered around two playable characters adventuring through a lost mystic Vanaheim with many plot points taken from Norse mythologies that lend much intrigue. There is a fixed camera which will remind many of the original resident evil games, it reminds me of the original God of War, especially with the unpolished graphics and controls. Textures are not great, giving the appearance of an older ps2 title, however the lighting is quite brilliant. Combat is simplistic and repetitious, yet you will find that there is a heavy dosing of strategy involved and it can get very difficult. There are no difficulty options so if you like easy games this one will be frustrating. There is also a heavy puzzle element to this game and there is no active quest guidance, it reminds me of Silent Hill 2 on easy puzzles setting in that aspect, but if you like games pointing you to your next objective then again this game will not be enjoyable for you. You automatically level up when you have attained enough crystal shards (xp), so the only thing you will be able to manually upgrade is your weapons and only after you have found specific NPC's for each playable character. I would recommend this game to anyone that enjoys fantasy rpg 's with real-time combat, especially if you do not mind ps2-like graphics. There are many bugs/glitches, your character can get stuck especially when hugging the boundaries, but every game has glitches and i have seen worse in critically praised games. Overall a very fun game with massive potential for the future. Expand

Old school fantasy action rpg..... Bought cause I liked the trailer and game is what to be expected. My guess is low rated due to no micro transaction and no BR mode!!!! If you love fantasy settings this one's for you .. ...

Ruim com força!! Bug no save, bug no loading, câmera horrível, jogabilidade porca, inimigos imbatíveis. Enfim...esse game é uma vergonha do meu país.

Eternity The Last Unicorn is a hot mess of a game with old school graphics and game mechanics that feels more dated than a launch title from the original PS1.

Trudging through Eternity feels like playing a game design student’s graduation project. The game functions, which is enough for a passing grade, but no one would want to actually play through it. Eternity doesn’t do anything that countless other games don’t do substantially better. It’s also broken to the point of being more insulting than amusing.

In a serious need of additional development, bug-fixes and testing, as well as ditching the misguided fixed camera, Eternity: The Last Unicorn plays like a medley of solid action-RPG mechanics and ideas without much depth or polish. The setting, characters and story are its saving grace but their charms are overshadowed by the game’s repetitive and sluggish combat and the annoying camera. Calling a game’s mechanics “classic” is no excuse for gameplay that is simply not very satisfying or fun.
