I played this game thanks to the PS+ subscription but I'll review it like if i bought it as is no longer available for free.
The game has great artistic direction :nice black and white graphics, design that made me think to Spirited Away (from Miyazaki) and awesome music that puts you in the mood. Great achievement on that point, but concerning the game itself it's really short (3 hours)

Great achievement on that point, but concerning the game itself it's really short (3 hours) and easy and I think that having puzzles to the right difficulty is the most important thing in puzzle games, but at least we've got a good use of the Dualshock 4 capacities. Concerning the story, it's very basic and will not create any passion.
In a nut shell my eyes and ears were pleased playing Escape Plan but not my brain, also too expensive for the length.

Escape Plan on the ps4 was part of the November free games for Playstation plus members. I it picked up very much like my Binding of Isaac review not really knowing what to expect from the game as I haven't previously heard of this indie game before.

I was automatically drawn to the screenshots as the art style looked so beautiful as not many games adopt the black and white theme

I was automatically drawn to the screenshots as the art style looked so beautiful as not many games adopt the black and white theme anymore, it looked a lot like Spy vs Spy at first glance but the gameplay is nothing of the sort.

You may be thinking why have I given the game such a low rating when its been relatively good so far? The reason is the game itself is boring... Maybe harsh but this is why; it did not intrigue me in the slightest in didn't make me inclined to play on, unlike most other games it had no sense of achievement apart from walking, and solving relatively easy puzzles that you could solve with a Rubix's cube in one hand and play a game of "Guess Who" with an elderly family member with the right hahaha; They made it so obvious of what you to lift up and turn off etc etc.

My final review is I'm glad I got it for free because I would be irate if I payed the £11.99 it may possibly go up too after the deal is done for the month, that's why I rated so low because that's what I would rate if I payed for the game. This game may possibly be more fun on the Vita but not on this console. Final words "Loved the art style, Hated the game"

Thanks for reading my review on Escape Plan Ps4

Having owned Escape Plan on the Vita, I was allowed to download a free copy of Escape Plan on my PS4. The Game is pretty fun. The PS4 controller does an excellent job in addressing the touchscreen heavy gameplay of Escape Plan. Not worth the full $15 but pick it up if it falls down to $10.

This game is great if you don't have much time to play. The levels are really short but there are a lot of them. Some elements are annoying because this game was mean to be played on a touch screen. You have to be fast with the cursor. I haven't finish it yet but plan to. Some may say there is a gore factor but it amounts to no more than a splatter when one of the characters die. Its all black and white and no blood.

I made the mistake of buying the add ons at the same time. Though I plan to finish it all, I would recommend against it as you may get tired of the game.

Escape Plan is atypical. The world is black and white with a beautiful soundscape. You play to choose the small character or large character with L1 / R1.

    Graphics 6/10
    Music 8/10
    Gameplay 5/10

    My overall score is 6

The whole design it's a tribute to cinéma so film lovers will be delighted when discovering that you can dress up Lil just like Death at Ingmar Bergman's 'The Seventh Seal', for instance.

Music in the game it's just beautiful and puts you in a very special mood when playing Escape Plan.

I don't know how come this game gets 7.2 when other **** just-plain-shooting-things games are getting over 90. I want more games like Escape Plan, that is, more ART and less Bang Bang.

These 2d puzzle-platformers are pretty common nowadays but Escape Plan is one of the best examples I’ve played in a while. The 1950’s cartoon aesthetic gives it a unique feel and, possibly as a result of being designed originally for the Vita, it avoids the mistake that many similar titles make and keeps each of the puzzles short and logical from start to finish. It’s not an overly long game, I’d guess it took me about 4 hours to complete, but to be honest I’d rather play a shorter game than one that stretches out its ideas for too long. Whether on PS Vita or PS4 Escape Plan is worth playing. Expand

Very minimalistic, stylish puzzle game revolved around vegetable characters. It's not necessarily bad to have wood as your characters in your game as soon as you make the game itself interesting, and that really is up to the user.

I, myself, didn't enjoy the game for too long as it simply got boring after a while. I can still, however, acknowledge that it's definitely not a bad game at

I can still, however, acknowledge that it's definitely not a bad game at all. it's good to pick up randomly sometimes and play through minute-long puzzle levels whenever you feel like it, and the game gives you that as an option as it knows it's made for short-term entertainment.

2d puzzle with poor graphics, and a really just nothing special when it comes to the puzzles. It is a fairly medium sized game, but would not buy if it wasn't extremely cheap.

The main campaign was fun and relaxing, maybe a bit challenging to comprehend in the beginning because of the unusual control scheme, but all in all positive. I liked the graphics and visual style, and I loved the music—the swing jazz was a real delight. Some of the puzzles had just enough difficulty to keep some spice in the game while allowing for progress at the same time.

However, the main campaign was pretty brief, and after that the DLCs started. Let me tell you, folks, those were a SLOG. After the first few puzzles of the Director’s Cut, the game got so difficult that my stepson and I were rage quitting every sesh, and then we dropped the game.

Main campaign: 8/10, fun puzzle game.
DLC, what little we did of it: 2/10, too hard and finicky to be fun.
All in all, let’s go with the 8, because I think the main campaign deserved it and the DLCs are meant to be extra additional content. Plus, I think the game’s price is reasonable.

With its improved controls, Escape Plan is now criminally good value for money. [February 2014, p81]

Escape Plan has come to the PlayStation 4, but it fails to make the transition cleanly. The puzzles are dull and the controls are ill fitted to the new system. I wouldn't recommend playing Escape Plan, but if you absolutely must make sure it's the Vita version.
